Came upon this little gem by accident. Great food, friendly staff with good coffee! Cafe is beautifully decorated and it was lovely to sit and watch the kitchen crew prepare a range of goodies for the lunchtime hordes.

Stopped in after a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. Upscale cafe with great pastries and coffee, as well as a friendly staff. Very relaxing.

A cute little cafe right under the Bridge. Coffee excellent. Filled with locals which is always a good sign.

Being an Aussie I’m very critical of sausage rolls, but I can assure that Butler had the most delicious one I’ve ever eaten. Fantastic coffee as well. Great atmosphere and really cute store with gorgeous lighting. We even were amazed by the sight of other people’s food. Great experience and will definitely be returning.

I am hesitant to write a review because this place is already getting too crowded, but they really do deserve it. Pastries are on-point, and very reasonably priced. Nice quiet atmosphere during weekday mornings.

We went for a short coffee break and a chat after arrival in Brooklyn. This a nice, light-filled place to linger over a beverage. The service was very pleasant. My cappuccino was mellow and flavorful. I usually like strong Italian coffee, but enjoyed the change to a milder type. My companion ordered the turmeric latte but found it much too strongly flavored and was unable to finish it. Would consider going back in the future to try the food which has been well rated.

There's a reason this place gets only raves! In most ways it's your typical cute little NY breakfast spot. However the food is seriously perfect! We had brunch followed by some baking and both were awesome. Not to be missed when you're in Williamsburg! Also very friendly service, and the chef patiently explained all of the baked goods to me.

I met my cousin at Butler for breakfast recently and it was such a lovely place! New "hip" menu items, such as turmeric lattes, while maintaining that old-school café vibe with a cute little patio so you can sit outside. The service was wonderful. Friendly and helpful. The latte was delicious - they have almond milk so you're good if you don't eat/drink dairy - and the breakfast empanadas were SO good. I loved this place. Would definitely go back next time I'm in the city!

We found this establishment by accident whilst walking between the Brooklyn Brewery and the Williamsburg Bridge. We wanted a light lunch but we arrived late and found that many of the items were already sold out. We had coffee and breakfast rolls. It sounds very ordinary but it tasted extraordinary! Not overpriced either. Great and friendly service. Well worth a visit.

Great pastries and cafe in a beautiful setting close to bedford avenue, the owners are very nice. Even though it is quite expensive, the place is perfect for a sunday break if you want to relax. They have a good music playlists too.

Small bakery, the service was good. Great coffee, great cake and I could not decide what to eat because everything was looking good. You must try this.

This great little start up is a fab local find which will only keep on improving!
I travelled all the way from an upper west side hotel to meet friends here for breakfast on a Sunday morning.
Limited options (6 breakfast options, 5 lunch options, 2 weekend specials) should make ordering easy but the each option is so carefully thought out, you will want to try them all!
The coffee is strong and made right! The sweet and savoury food options are very fresh and tasty. My only comment is that i would like to see garnish on the plate and a bigger portion - possibly 2 for $13-15 instead of 1 for $7? (one falafel egg or breakfast empanada was not enough breakfast for a hungry traveller -everyone in my group ordered a second serving).
Decor is modern urban rustic with a cute layer of planters overhead. Window seating is drenched in sunlight and the perfect place to sip coffee and read the morning paper. Seating is somewhat limited, but i guarantee that when this place takes off, the owners will add more and it's likely to spill out onto the pavement.
I would definitely return and highly recommended :)
