Applebee's is lovely. They have a few diners there on a few blocks. I had oriental salad which was really good.

This is a great breakfast stop. The staff was efficient and polite. I was asked about coffee refills multiple times. The food was very good. I had a typical breakfast that was more than filling. By chance, this was right around the corner from my...hotel.More
Went for breakfast for first daunting morning in New York and was happy to have made the right choice! Seated straight away food great staff friendly thoroughly great experience. Would have gone next morning but the half marathon prevented us from getting there and we...needed to get down to Battery Park.More
We were looking for a lunch place to squeeze in between a theater workshop and an afternoon Broadway show - this diner was perfect! We had to wait a few minutes outside for a table to open up, but once we were seated our order...was taken and food to the table within 5-10 minutes! The servings were huge. A side of bacon, in pleased to say, was like 6 pieces! My daughters had Pancakes (2 plate sized delicious ones) and waffles (large Belgian style) and I enjoyed an omlette. The servers were attentive & helpful. Only negatives I can think of: my coffee wasn't great & the prices were high. But the location &size of the portions I'm sure has something to do with the prices :)More
My wife and I stayed at the Garden Inn on 8th Avenue and wanted something close for lunch. We searched this up on Trip Advisor, and behold, the Times Square Diner (more a restaurant) was across the street outside our window! It's a nice establishment,...not at all a prototypical diner. There are both booths and open tables, as well as a full length bar. We sat in a front table looking at 8th avenue. Our service was excellent, as our sodas remained filled. We started with their excellent French Onion Soup, then we both ordered burgers - I got the Cobb burger and my wife the cheese burger. Both come with a generous portion of excellent fries. These are mammoth burgers - perfectly done and eye appealing. My juicy Cobb was stacked with avocado, well done bacon, arugula, and crumbled blue cheese. We left full and very satisfied from our tasty lunch choices. Nice find in the area.More
After scouring various websites for great eateries around NYC, Times Square Diner came up a few times. We searched for this place and had a little walk. We eventually had drinks, I opted for a cider (which was $8 on the menu and $15 on...the bill!) and my wife had a soft drink. We ordered food - gyros and pancakes. We both did not finish them, partly because there was a lot, partly because they weren't great. Service was ok, bill brought over before we asked for it (or indeed finished), despite the place being very quiet. Interior well kept. If I were ever to return to NYC I would try elsewhere.More
We weren't too fussed on the food or service here. The potatos were disgusting.. crammed in at bar as well. It wasn't cheap either
Visited based on the trip advisor reviews and wasn’t disappointed. Friendly and quick service! Food was good, not great - maybe just a poor menu choice
Absolutely loved this Diner. We visited in Nov'22 and stayed in a hotel around the corner so we found this place fairly quickly. It was packed with locals which has to be a good sign and we soon found out why. The food is fab,...the menu a great mix, the portions humongous, the prices reasonable and the staff are friendly, and efficient and can't do enough for you. We literally ate there 3 times in one day as we were so impressed and my sister hasn't stopped raving about their Mac and Cheese since we returned home. It's definitely on my return list when I am next in NY. Would recommend to anyone in that area to visit. Be patient if there is a queue. It is worth itMore
Service was quick and friendly. We had the French toast and fruit, which was very tasty! The breakfast filled us up for the day.
Great reviews on trip advisor so thought we would go for breakfast on our last day in NYC, didn’t disappoint and definitely an example of never judge a book by its cover. Breakfast was so good!!! My daughter said the ice tea was one of...the best she had ever had. I had the French toast which was yummy!!! Great eggs and delicious crispy bacon, probably one of our best breakfast we had in NYC.More
Stopped for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Every eatery in the area was packed, including this Diner. But we were seated immediately. The service was excellent and the food was great! Typical Diner fare. Omelets were perfect and home fries delicious. I definitely recommend!
The restaurant serves big portions that are always tasty! Everything was seasoned perfectly and nothing is too salty. The staff is very welcoming and patient -- very professional! Its an incredibly clean restaurant with a great atmosphere. We never waited more than what seemed like...a few minutes for our orders and its all fresh and reasonably-priced! It was our first time in NYC (I should have written this review earlier) but I would definitely recommend the Diner to anyone visiting Manhattan. They've got something for everyone and my 8-year old asked to go back a second night for dinner. We did and it was even better than the first night (IF that's possible). Because of the Diner, he now likes cheesecake, orders it everywhere we go, and always compares everyone else's to the 'one he had in New York.' Bravo, Times Square Diner!! We will see you again.More
Huge portions of excellent food! Greatly enjoyed the Greek salad with grilled chicken. My spouse had fish tacos, which looked great. My son enjoyed a vegetarian omelette.
Had dinner here. Portions are huge so at least worth the high prices (normal for NYC). Chicken gyro was good as was the Cuban sandwich. You get a LOT of fries (Included with entree but extra with a sandwich.) The French onion soup was also...very good. Service was fast and friendly.More
