Very famous and relevant club for jazz and soul era. Quite small place with small tables and lots of people. Higher entrance fee, probably varies according performance. Reservation mostly required.

We rode the subway from 42nd and 8th to 4th Street, Washington Park station. The club is right across the street. We have seen the Decade of Soul a couple times at B B King, but it is closed now. We were seated in a...More

This is a great place to see jazz, Seating is tight - would recommend reservations as the view from the bar area seems limited, I would eat elsewhere and just have a drink during the show. We got caught in heavy traffic on teh way...More

The Blue Note is a jazz venue that has been in the West Village for many years. You go there for the music. The rest is not as good. The space is small and even intimate but as with so many similar venues they pack...More

Get here early (which may mean standing in line for awhile). It is a nice venue and it had great acoustics. The performers interact with the crowd and all seating is good. You can see the stage from anywhere you sit. Drinks were good and...More

Whilst the music was undoubtedly fine the whole general atmosphere of the place was on one hand subdued and on the other altogether sloppy from on entry the abrupt doorman taking the money to the unkempt bar and general vibe of the place.

Had a wonderful evening at the Blue Note watching the legend that is Roy Ayres and his world class band. Great selection of beers and wines and excellent though pricey dishes. But I really enjoyed my New York cheesecake in New York!

Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was
here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter
culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for
its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to
get a feel for this diverse and energetic
neighborhood. You’ll find NYU students, street
performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the
fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess.

Shows are at 9:00 pm and 11:00pm, you can get there at 7:30/8:00pm in case you want to eat, otherwise just half an hour earlier.
