This is the original strip house and the decor can’t be beat. It looks like a bordello and you can almost imagine burlesques dancers coming out from behind a velvet curtain. The staff is impeccably dressed and the atmosphere is enchanting. However, my 40+day aged...More

My SO and I had dined here with friends several years ago, and he wanted to make a return visit, so we went on a Saturday night. So the first thing I noted is that the tables for two are very close together - as...More

A bit of a sleeper in a very crowded sea of nyc high-end steakhouses, but the Strip House delivers. Very tasty seared broccoli, sautéed spinach and a nicely seasoned rib eye that did not disappoint. Old school decor that seems to work without trying too...More

Its obviously a little pricey, but we had expected that. The service was quick and efficient and the steak melted in your mouth. If you are a couple you are very close to the other tables, so you dont get a huge amount of privacy....More

We had planned this as our big meal in a New York trip where we had plenty of shows on other nights and we lucked out here. It wasn't the food which was very good including the huge peppered steaks but it was the attitude....More

When you walk into Strip House it feels like you are going back in time. Dimly lit with a lot of red velvet and celebrity pictures on the walls. The steak is great, the strip house potatoes are a MUST, and the creamed spinach and...More

One of the best steakhouse in N.Y. We had porterhouse and bone rib eye...all cooked to perfection. Excellent service. Extensive and expensive wine menu. Calculate 100 to 150 USD pp.

Andrea at the bar had good knowledge of her wine product. A fix price menu available during restaurant week. The restaurant was warm and cozy on a rainy January evening. The steak was tender and cooked to our liking. The apps were a little on...More

Great meal, good service, old-New York atmosphere, which I liked. The restaurant is split level and I'd made the reservation for downstairs without knowing it until we arrived. I would rather have eaten upstairs. I'd go again.

Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was
here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter
culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for
its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to
get a feel for this diverse and energetic
neighborhood. You’ll find NYU students, street
performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the
fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess.

It does seem more of a grown up type of restaurant. But I'm sure if you have an early dinner it would work! Call them or email and ask! See what type of reaction you get...if they are friendly on the phone, there's your... More

A sultry steakhouse in New York City’s Greenwich Village where old-world glamour meets modern style and sophistication. Experience the combination of charred cuts perfectly paired with decadent sides, such as Truffle Creamed Spinach and Goose Fat Potatoes. And be sure to save room for the famed 24-Layer Chocolate Cake. Named a top steakhouse by Zagat and awarded four stars by Forbes, the namesake cut of aged beef isn't the only work of art to marvel upon...just take a look at the walls and tell us you don’t agree. Black and white vintage photos of bordello girls from the original 1900’s Studio Manasse collection reference an era of decadence and seduction. Visit our second NYC location, the new Strip House Midtown at 44th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues, or on the Las Vegas Strip at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
