Husband and I went there for lunch. This is one of several sushi restaurants in the neighborhood. For $10, he got a bento box; I ordered a sushi lunch for $13. I particularly liked the selection of fish provided to me - tuna, flounder, shrimp,...and a couple of other "safe" selections. (I have a timid palate.) The small salad that was included in the meal primarily consisted of iceberg lettuce, and the miso soup was what you'd expect at a decent Japanese restaurant. The chicken katsu was crispy, but a bit dry. For $6, I was able to obtain a small bottle of Ozeki dry sake to accompany this pleasant repast.
Best time to visit this restaurant is lunch, when a fine meal can be had without putting a serious hole in your budget; an increasingly rare pleasure in Manhattan.More
