The atmosphere was good, service was also good. Pizza was just okay, nothing special. That is why 3 stars.

Folks, congratulations for stumbling across East Village Pizza, your search for an amazing pie has ended. I've been in NY for a couple of years, and am fairly particular about taste (hate me....). East Village Pizza's Margherita Pizza is not just a pizza, its a...masterpiece. Fragrant basil, the perfect balance of tomato sauce, delicious cheese with a fantastic slightly chewy and fresh texture, a crust that I could write poems about. Real talk: I stumbled across this pie a few weeks ago. Foolishly yesterday I decided to try the margherita from a competitor. It was great. I had two pieces and a feeling of regret washed over me because it just did not hold a candle to the one I had from east village pizza. I gave that pie away to someone else who needed it more than me, and I ordered this again. It is the pie to end all pies. I am writing this review to spread the gospel far and wide. My wife hates pizza (I know, I question our relationship sometimes too). She LOVED this pie - their margherita pizza converts haters to believers. Join us in the promised land of mind blowing pizza!More
Really friendly service. The garlic knots were very cheesy and nice. The pizza slices were massive and all delicious.
You love cheese and pizza? This is your place to go. Best cheesy garlic knots in the whole wide world. I followed them on Instagram for a while and finally I could try this delicious food. OMG!!!
Best pizza I tried on our NYC trip! We flew from California all the way to NY to try this pizza haha. It was a pleasure meeting the man behind the magic - Frank! He was so nice and welcoming. I had a slice of...sicilian cheese pizza but got lucky that some other people ordered the famed double pizza! We got a good shot of it; can't wait to go back again. Thanks Frank !More
East Village Pizza gains its respect for both the array of pizza flavors and for its garlic knots. It's a big-and-thin slice, ergo, it's evenly portioned.
We tried 3 different slices of pizza, each one was better than the next. But those garlic knots are where it’s at! I am craving them still. Life changing and amazing!
Overall, excellent New York style thin crust pizza. We had a slice of pepperoni and veggie slice. The pepperoni slice was very good but a tad greasy. The veggie slice was outstanding and among best veggie slices I've had in the city. We also ordered...the garlic knots which were loaded with enough fresh chopped garlic to kill many vampires. They were very good. The atmosphere is casual and cozy. Only about 10 seats for dining in. Service was quick and friendly. A very good choice if your in the East Village.More
Delicious pizza NYC style, big slices and great flavor. At least 8 different styles of pizza, fresh and hot 👍🏼
Perfect for sharing, delicious and filling pizza to keep us going for the day, I will definitely go back if I ever visit again.
