We ate in the very pretty heated garden. Pizzas were good although my caprese salad was a bit underwhelming.Service friendly and efficient. Very popular and deservedly so. Close to NYU and Washington Square.

My wife and were in New York for the weekend celebrating her birthday. We had dinner at La Lanterna Saturday night. The ambiance, food and service were all stellar. The decor dim and is like an inside garden with hanging lanterns. It was a little...More

On a recent weekend in NYC, our small group of two couples visited this restaurant with the expectation it would live up to claims made on its website. While the atmosphere might be considered "romantic", there are other spots in town that do it better....More

This place is one of my favorites in all of New York- amazing atmosphere, especially in the garden, and great, affordable Italian food. The wine list is extensive, pesto pizza is amazing, almost as good the real deal (and I lived in Italy for two...More

We ordered a caprese salad for $13 and all that came out was 3 thin slices of tomato, 3 small pieces of mozzarella and 2 tiny basil leaves. My friend ordered the turkey salad and it was just leaves, not worth your money. Drinks were...More

The restaurant has plenty of tables for two and therefore the turnover is high - people are arriving and leaving frequently and even if they were busy I'm confident you'd get a table within a few minutes.
