This is my dependable go to spot for a quick corporate lunch! The waitstaff is friendly and prompt, the food is tasty and the menu is quite varied! I enjoy coming here and it never disappoints!

We have eaten at Sanju Bistro at least monthly for many years because we enjoy the ambience so much. The food is pleasant, the service prompt and the decor is comforting. We have introduced friends here and they are never disappointed, even if they are not francophiles.

Half block from Times Square. Very cozy, relaxing and inviting atmosphere with friendly and attentive staff at reasonable price. Sunday evening dinner was perfect during a long weekend trip to NYC. They had it just right from the food to the background soundtrack. We had made reservations for the Sunday night which was not overly busy. It would be a... More

Reasonably to a bit-high priced lunch near Times Square. I like the salmon tartare. Pate and cheese plates were also good. Burgers are large, tasty and well cooked. The French main courses e.g., coq au bin, cassoulet, etc. are quite good. Also nice desserts.

This is the 2nd time we have been here and the food is good and so is the wine! We ate here before the theater on a Sunday.

There were four in our dining party. Two arrived early and ordered. Two arrived later and put in their order at that time. The first set of orders came in a timely fashion, but the second set seemed to take a very long time for a simple meal-omelets. The omelet itself was not particularly good: not at all light. But... Pre-theater dinner is always fully booked at this popular Bistro. Don't be fooled by the Japanese-sounding name; it combines the first two letters of each of the owner's two children! The food is truly French and truly good. The pistou (vegetable soup) is a hardy bowlful chock full of vegetables and topped with grated Parmesan (optional). There are so many... More

When you see what is offered in Midtown NYC for breakfast and how much it costs for what you finally get on your plate, you'll be happy to have find Saju Bistro. Good place.

Went for dinner. Had a seafood entree which was fabulous. Friends had steak which was practically inedible. Cocktails mediocre. Service mediocre. Wouldnt' go back.

Went with a group of friends. The food was good but not one of those meals where you walk away saying "that was really good". The hanger steak was a soft mushy blob on the plate covered with a sauce. Edible but could have been so much better. Goat cheese ravioli were good, but again, nothing more than that. We... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
