We was there a year ago for some drinks and snacks but we felt the atmosphere and i decided that we should have a dinner there next time. next time was today and yes it is nice even if the service was a bit forced out with the plates as soon as they was empty but the food was ok... More

We dined here on our anniversary prior to the theater. Do make a reservation. We shared a bottle of wine and and some raw oysters to start. I chose the Mediterranean seabass with zuchinni and tomato timbales and my husband had the special which was swordfish with olives Provencal style. Both were wonderful. Our server was very attentive. We also... More

An excellent, value for money French bistro just off Times Square. You might expect to be ripped off in such a location, but Saju provided us with excellent food, great service at a reasonable cost (for New York, that is, which is not cheap).

Met some friends for a show and they picked here for a bite. So enjoyable. Service was great. Food was delicious and they make a great Bloody Mary!

From the moment we walked in, we all felt embraced by this beautiful and charming restaurant. Very impressive! The Shiraz Reserve, Jacobs Creek AU 2014 was excellent. The wine list is impressive. The complementary olives and the bread basket were perfect starters for the uniformly excellent appetizers and dinners. I am a grilled octopus lover so was glad to order... More

Discovered this place by accident and has become a go-to. Casual, relaxing atmosphere -- with buzz, but not overly loud. Nice French menu (I like the frisee salad with the egg and bacon) but with an Italian touch (recommend the spaghetti with fresh tuna and capers). Recommended for regular dinner or pre-theater (in and out in 75 minutes with no... More

I hate to give 4 when I very well believe they should get 5 out of 5. The food was perfect; restaurant is clean and staff are accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable. The owner (or manager) was on the top of the game and clearly the pillar of the operations and superior customer service. That being said, the Bistro needs to... More

While in New York we stayed at the Millennium Broadway Hotel which is across the street from the Saju Bistro. We just happened to wonder in to the bistro one evening. What a wonderful restaurant - so warm and cozy and a genuine feeling of comfort. It had a feeling of friendliness from the moment we stepped through the doorway.... More

Pretty interior with good food. Shame that instead of hearing French music piped in (Piaf par exemple?) there was disco music. It would have been nice to be served by French waiters to add to the authenticity of the place.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
