The wine list is nice and the pastas and all the plates are delicious BUT the staff is what puts L;Artusi over the top. Always nice, warm and welcoming.

L’Artusi is a very buzzy Italian restaurant that you need the skills of a ninja to get a table for each month. If you do, you’ll really enjoy it but expect to pay a proper price. There might be better value Italians in New York...More

L'Artusi is a special restaurant. The wine list is very nice, the pastas and side dishes are wonderful and the wait staff is always warm and welcoming. L'Artusi is perfect for a very special and impressive dinner out, or a casual night with friends.

There are so many excellent New York City restaurants, but this one definitely had a Premier atmosphere. We were seated Upstairs and it felt cozy but not too too crowded like so many of the New York restaurants. The food was excellent. There is plenty...More

Very difficult to get a reservation here, but managed eventually. Ambience is decent, along with very good wait staff - perhaps the tables are crammed in together but you get over that. The food was a real mixed bag - pastas shone brightly, while looking...More

One of the best meals I have ever had in NYC! My son took me here for my birthday last year. Difficult to get a reservation, but worth the effort.

We didn’t make a reservation and this place is clearly popular so we waited about an hour to sit. Besides that the service and food was amazing! We sat at the bar and The bar tender was able to recite everything on the menu including...More

West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the
West Village is one of the city’s most coveted
addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and
cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture,
this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You
won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan.
Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to
get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you

Opened in December of 2008, L'Artusi is the second step from the team that brought dell'anima to the West Village. Chef/Partner Gabriel Thompson and Beverage Director/Partner Joe Campanale share their expertise in Italian Epicurean Hospitality on a larger stage. Featuring rustic cuisine, a crudo bar, specialty cheese program, private dining room, and a walk-in wine cellar, L’Artusi offers guests a variety of dining options and a warm, friendly vibe. Our 110 seat restaurant, designed by Brooke Maples, features two floors of comfortable banquette seating, extended traditional bar, cheese bar and a chef's counter over-looking the open kitchen. Private dining opportunities are also available in our 2500 bottle walk-in wine cellar.
