Long, long lines to get in. Small restaurant. Waited over 45 min. to get seated. Wait staff was working hard to accommodate everyone. I have been to other Richard Walkers and they were a lot bigger. Like their potato pancakes. Disappointed in the raspberry crepes...More

Wow - great find. Definitely the best pancake house around! Extensive menu: pancakes, waffles, eggs, House specialties...absolutely delicious. Freshly squeezed juices, bottomless coffee & a range of teas. Excellent service but ensure your hungry. A must if you’re in La Jolla.

The place is busy which is expected for being so popular, we waited about 5 minutes to be seated which is fine, but then everything else felt rushed by the staff, like they wanted us to sit fast, eat fast, and get out fast, so...More

We arrived midweek to a line down the block. We decided to give it a go and it was definitely worth the 15/20 minute wait! By the size of the line I thought we’d wait at least an hour but they are super efficient at...More

I saw the reputation for crowds and delays, but arriving at 7am put me right into a seat, ready to order. I chose a simple order of banana pancakes (a plate of six at about 4 to 4-1/2 inches, topped with half a sliced banana,...More

We ate here yesterday and yes they do offer diary free pancakes. Their gluten free pancakes are diary free. I have a son with diary and nut allergies and he loved these pancakes

Since 1948, the Walker family name has become synonymous with quality family dining. The family has since perfected its reputation for outstanding gourmet pancakes and breakfasts. We offer a large variety of gourmet breakfast and lunch items, including pancakes, crepes, waffles, omelettes, Belgian waffles, and more! Richard Walker’s starts with the finest blend of whole Prime Roasted Coffee beans sourced from Central America with all its sealed-in flavor intact. Then, we ground just enough for each pot of coffee – one pot at a time. That rich, full-bodied flavor and aroma is retained in the freshly ground coffee itself. From there, it’s only a matter of a minute from the whole bean to a cup of the best coffee you have ever tasted.
