The restaurant is nice in its environment. The taste is average, though. The service is good without delay.

My wife and I shared a wonderful meal with friends for our first meal in Boston at Lucca Back Bay. I started with linguini which was a bit spicy but good. The stars of the show were our side dishes of sweet potatoes, Murray’s and...More

The food was very good. They have a rigatoni dish that was amazing but everyone in my party got different items and really enjoyed their dinner. Portions are reasonable. Ambiance is very nice. Unfortunately our server, I believe his name was Mark, was just so-so....More

The food was average and overpriced for what you got. Service was average and the atmosphere loud. We went on a Saturday evening and they were maybe 10 tables filled. I love Italian food and this is not it, Will not go back.

Lucca Back Bay was chosen for convenience, as it was near the convention center. The restaurant itself was very nice/presentable, typical of a signature restaurant found in a large hotel. The menu was somewhat limited, but everything appeared fresh, including the bread. I ordered Tagliatelle,...More

A good selection of Italian food with daily specials. I settled on the salmon with a side salad and both were excellent. Service was prompt and polite and the visual atmosphere of the restaurant was excellent. Oh, but the noise! For a place that has...More

There were lots of items on the menu that were attractive. I had the fettuccine with garlicky shrimp in a slightly spicy tomato based sauce. The shrimp were v. good, no shells, cooked just right but distinctly lacking in garlic flavor. The fettuccine was nicely...More

We all had a wonderful time and had no problem being served in a timely and gracious manner. The food at Lucca is always good. But to be able to serve 14 with choices off the menu and then deliver separate checks for all was...More

Lucca Back Bay is the sister restaurant of Lucca in the North End. The Kitchen, headed by Andres Cruz, embraces classic Italian cuisine with a contemporary approach. Andres works closely with the finest purveyors and local farmers to ensure that nothing but quality produce enters his kitchen. From house-made pasta and breads, to handcrafted desserts, the cuisine is a thoughtful, well executed, process. Lucca Back Bay offers two dining styles. The elegant main dining room at Lucca Back Bay is the perfect place to relax and enjoy world-class cuisine and exceptional service in a fine dining atmosphere. The cozy and intimate lounge at Lucca Back Bay is a great place to hang out after work, whether that's at 5pm or 1am. We have been told that we have the best burger in town, a staple on our bar menu which is served nightly until 1am. We stay open until 2am every night, with a large industry following, and feature a large collection of house-infused spirits.
