Restaurants Around the World: 9. Antico Forno Boston, MA Antico Forno is billed as “The Most Authentic Italian Restaurant,” and we’re hard pressed to argue. This mainstay in Boston’s North End manages a cozy mom-and-pop atmosphere with world-class traditional cuisine. Entrees like Saltimbocca di Pollo and Linguine al Frutti di Mare hearken back to the old country, but Antico Forno is best known for its brick-oven pizzas piled high with house-made Italian sausages and mozzarella. 10BEST Says (#8 Boston Family Friendly) Best Value: Traditional Italian baked in a brick oven sets this Italian restaurant apart. Despite covid restrictions, service and food was excellent. I commend the staff on being able to budget offer and a full menu during this time. Atmosphere is great, very homey and experience was wonderful.

My experience at Antico Forno was simply, fine. I’ve been to many Italian restaurants and I unfortunately didn’t have an experience to remember. The food was OK but atmosphere was great - reminded me of being back in a restaurant you’d find back in Italy....I was with a decently sized party and I didn’t hear one rave. However, I suggest giving them a try - pizza was closer to true Italian than American for sure.More

We love the North End and love authentic Italian food. Antico Forno did not disappoint! The salad was crisp and flavorful and served with their delicious hearty bread. We paired our meal with Chianti - Alta Classe. 🍷 For dinner we had the vegetarian ravioli...and the seafood risotto. Very delicious generous portions. We also ordered the fettuccine bolonaise for our dog. She loved it! The pasta is all homemade and prepared to perfection. We had the cannoli for dessert. So delicious. Perfect with a cup of espresso. The staff was very attentive and provided a relaxing and satisfying evening. Would highly recommend.More

We recently dined here after a day long walking tour of Boston. We are a large family group - 16 people in all. Even with the COVID restrictions in place, we received a warm welcome and friendly, quick service. The food was amazing! All of...us ordered something different - the kids loved the pizzas and spaghetti with meatballs. The chicken parmesan and lasagna were also delicious. We were stuffed, but took some cannolis to go, and they were also delicious! This was our first visit to Boston, and I will for sure recommend this restaurant to any of my friends or family who travel to Boston. I hope to visit again!More

After walking the Freedom Trail we wanted to have an Italian so headed back into the North End and came across ‘Antico Forno’ which looked good. We ate around 5pm and the whole time we were there it was full... that says enough. Vast menu...to choose from, all at reasonable prices. We had a Margarita Pizza and Carbonara. Food was amazing, especially the Carbonara. Had some complementary bread and oil too which was so fresh! Service was outstanding and together with the atmosphere here we really enjoyed our time. Would certainly recommend and if we come back to Boston would return.More

We were reading the outside menu for this restaurant when a local lady told us we should go in because it was one of her favorites. We were very early for dinner so we ordered two appetizers (meatballs and rolled eggplant) and then ordered a...pizza. All were very good.More

Yes Angel we do. Please call the restaurant. For a Saturday night reservation for 25 it would have to be an earlier reservation. Sincerely Carla Gomes
