My mom had taken me here years ago so I was hoping my second visit would not be a disappointment. Nikita and other staff helped make my second visit even nicer than the warm memories of my visit here in the '60s. Their ocean view...provided a perfect backdrop to our delightful clam chowder lunch with wine that was more affordable than anywhere else we had visited. Nikita helped recommend perfect wins for two different wine drinkers and both of us felt the wines he recommended were just what we were wanting to experience.More

Great place and really good food. But, the best part of this place is the service. My son (of all people) says that Tim is the best guy on the west coast. He really took great care of us and was a total pro. Come...here for the service and enjoy the food.More

Friday late afternoon, early evening we had dinner reservations at Alioto's. I had asked Jen to marry me on New Years eve so this was a very special Valentine's Day weekend excursion from Phoenix to San Francisco. Jen had never been to San Francisco so...I definitely wanted to have a wonderful dinner with a beautfiul view while we were there. The day was full of walking and the afternoon was spent hanging out around Pier 39 and having a couple of early drinks. We then go to Alioto's about 5 minutes before our reservation time. The greeter seated us at a wonderful table on the glass, overlooking Fisherman's Wharf and a nice view of the Golden Gate Bridge. The view was almost as spectacular as the service and the food. We had an apetizer, (Oysters on the Half Shell) and both of us had Nonna's Clam Chowder. OMG It was fabulous!! Then I had the Cracked Dungeness Crab and Jen had Risotto Alioto. With a nice bottle of Alioto's Merlot it was better than i could have imagined. What a wonderful celebration and a beautiful dinner. We will be back!!! We ate at Scoma's on Saturday night but my preference is Alioto's, of the two. Thank you for a wonderul experience!More

Went here for dinner and couldn't be happier with our choice. The list was amazing and got us a good seat with a view. Our server, Simon, was a total professional. The food was fantastic! All expertly prepared ! Couple that with a fine Chianti...and it made for a perfect night. Calamari, Oysters, salmon and an amazing bouillabaisse were all fantastic. Highly recommended!!!!!More

We were visiting the sights on Fisherman’s Wharf and were getting hungry for some lunch. We had been to Alioto’s a few years back and decided to give it a shot. We sat upstairs by the windows facing west with views of the Golden Gate...Bridge and SF Bay. It was a nice day. The two of us slit a calamari appetizer and ordered the Crab Louis Salad, a Caesar Salad and an order of fries to share. The food was very good here and we were very happy with our orders. Our server was polite and attentive and it was a really nice lunch. We recommend Alioto’s and will go back.More

I went there with my family last week and we definitely loved the place. Even the pricier dishes e.g. Lobster and Crabs are totally worth it. Plus, Andrea, from the staff, was really kind and welcoming. Wish you the best guys, we'll definitely be back.

My wife and I were there for a special dinner. With reservations we had a table by the windows overlooking the fishing boats. There was a good selection of wine from which we chose. We started with crab cocktails which were fresh and generous in...portions. She had Dover sole and I had halibut. Again, the food was fresh and well prepared. We finished with cannoli. The price was well worth the service and food.More
