I thought being in SF that the Asian food would be good, but it was pretty mediocre. Lots of dim sum dishes that were MEH. There are noodle dishes that are not Asian. I had one that was pretty bland. Overall, it was just barely...okay. This restaurant is in the plaza of the Chase Center so it doesn't have to work very hard to get business on game days or event days. I'd definitely go somewhere else next time. It's pretty disappointing.More

The food here is spectacular. Good service and food selection my friend and I sat outside on the patio. Great experience.

We go here every time we're in the city. Amazing dumplings, very fast. The garlic green beans, xiaolongbao, bbq pork buns are my go to. Spice lamb dumplings are great for something different

Excellent Dim Sum. Each dumpling was like a piece of art, and the flavor exceeded the beauty! Highly recommend for a group dinner to share!!

Neat place to try. I loved the shrimp toast! You must get that if you go. The dumplings were okay. They were neat to try. We tried a variety. Some were bland and a few had a good taste. It’s very pricey for the small...amount though. The egg yolk bun was very good as well. If I return I would only have the shrimp toast and the egg yolk bun. Those were delicious. But we didn’t leave full. It was a light dinner. If you’re not very hungry this is a great place! You should try it for yourself. They make the dumplings fresh.More

We were visiting a friend in SF and she took us to Dumpling Time. It's probably not a place we would have found on our own, the parking can be competitive and when we visited it was completely full so that was a good sign....Recommendation - make reservations. There was a great selection on the menu, the service was great considering how busy it was and dumplings were fantastic.More

First time visitor lifetime fan! Our first experience of eating dumplings and we were NOT disappointed. We had four different style with pork, beef and shrimp and we couldn’t pick a favorite they were all delicious. Since I love spicy I will say I’m more...partial towards the Chili Pork Xi’an yum yummy! I wish we lived in San Fran to eat here weekly! Definitely check them out when in the area Worth the visit!!More

Used to work across from the Division St. location and it was THE special place for us to go to lunch- if you could afford to wait to get in. We would go only when we could head over super super early. The dumplings are...fantastic. Shrimp Toast and the Siu Mai are some of the highlights, but everything is great. And good service. All in all really love this place. Note that there is an "Express" takeout place a block and a half west. I don't think they have seats but not sure. And at Thrive City (the plaza of Chase Center that Kaiser Permanente paid millions to name) there is another full location that tends to be much much much less crowded.More

Delicious soup dumplings both traditional and fusion style in a nice outdoor space. Order the seared BBQ pork bao! We dined in and had all of our dishes hot and fresh. I think for foods like soup dumplings don't travel as well, so this may...not be as good for pickup or delivery. ATMOSPHERE: The outdoor patio is shaded and breezy for a nice atmosphere on a summer day. The wicker chairs and plants gave it a cool summer day vibe. The indoor space looked a little bit more cramped, so if it's nice I recommend the patio. FOOD: Pork Xiao Long Bao (4.5 out of 5): The classic soup dumpling in the perfect bite size. Rich with flavor. They have a giant version of this dish which may be great for the instagram photo, but I think the traditional bite size versions are perfect! Tom Yum Xiao Long Bao (4.5 out of 5): A fusion of chinese and thai. I am a big fan of Tom Yum, so imagine having it within a soft chewy XLB dumpling, it's fantastic! Tom yum isn't for everyone though, so if you're not into lemongrassy thai flavors, this may not be for you. BBQ pork bao (5 out of 5): Wow. I am a sucker for chinese BBQ pork baos, and this one was delicious. They asked if we wanted it steamed or seared, and I highly, highly recommend getting it seared. The top and bottom are grilled crispy, and it was heaven. Shrimp har gow (4 out of 5): Pretty standard har gow, with a nice green (cilantro?) dipping sauce. SERVICE: Our waitress was really friendly, and gave her thoughts on what was good (e.g. really recommended getting the pork baos seared, which was a great decision). OVERALL: Really nice for bite sized eats. Go on a nice summer day, eat outdoors on the patio, and order the seared BBQ pork baos.More

This was my first time trying dim sum and I really enjoyed it. Everything was great - I had the XLB as well as the coconut soup version with a beet wrapper, the BBQ pork Bao, and the chicken gyoza. The gyoza are very different...from what I’m used to (which likely aren’t authentic) and were very delicious. Not super expensive eitherMore

Dumpling time was the best dumplings I have had in SF. We ordered the tom yum soup dumplings and the pork soup dumplings - both were incredible! The tom yum is like nothing I have ever tasted! We also tried the seared chicken bao buns,...and those did not disappoint either. The only this we didn't love was the pork chilie dumplings. They were good not great. We cannot wait to come back and try more yummy items!More

I believe that they offered several gluten free options on their menu, but as for the dumplings, I didn't see any.
