Very popular eatery among the locals. The restaurant is extremely busy at lunchtime but the service is fast so the wait wasn't too long. A very small lobby so you may end up waiting outside prior to placing your order. The menu is extensive and...sort of confusing if you're not familiar with this type of cuisine but the staff is friendly and helpful. The tempura shrimp was excellent. My wife had teriyaki chicken that was some of the best we've ever had. My advice, research the menu online and call ahead for a stress free experience. MahaloMore

We were slightly confused by the menu at first, but they were helpful. Teriyaki chicken was good, as was the breaded chicken. Had some Minchi, which the wife likes, but is not my style. Cool little local hole-in-the-Wall with some good Hawaiian-Asian fusion.

Mom and pops okazuya. Ate here before for breakfast. They use to make the best corned beef hash balls but stoped making it after old lady passed away. It was really good for breakfast but stopped by today for lunch and it was very disappointing....Chow fun was mediocre, Korean chicken was just chicken with a Korean sauce poured on it, Mac salad was ok had something sweet in it? Anyway not going back for lunch. Maybe will give breakfast another chance?????More

I love eating the tempura, chicken Katsu, and chop steak. The chop steak meat was cut too thick and there were many pieces with fat..couldn’t eat. Love all the vegetables though. Tempura is light and crispy..not oily. Their sides are tasty..love the potato Mac salad...and tofu balls. It’s a take out spot, not a sit down eatery.More

My brother, who resides on Maui, introduced me to this eatery years ago. I ordered the tempura and teriyaki ahi combo to eat at my condo rental. My sides were brown rice and kim chee. The tempura was light and not greasy and the ahi...was flavorful with a light teriyaki flavor. The brown rice had a nice texture and the kim chee was perfectly flavored. It was after the lunch rush so service was fast, friendly and helpful. If you’re in the mood for tasty food with a down home twist (as opposed to chain-type and touristy), this is your place.More

Wonderful katsu chicken with sides of vegetables and picked seaweed. Clearly a popular place. Lots of local folks from real estate agents to delivery truck drivers were coming by for lunch. A very filling lunch for under $20 for the two of us.

If your comfort food is chicken katsu, nishime and gobo- this is the place for you. There's a good selection to choose from, reasonably priced for lunch.

If you’re in the Wailuku area, be sure to stop at this little cafe to enjoy some really ono Japanese food :)). Their menu includes typical dishes (katsu, teriyaki, etc), the miso soup is really yummy, and there’s fresh Hawaiian fish as well... prices are...reasonable, the service is friendly and prompt, and the portions are generous too. Enjoy!More

It's a hidden gem in a residential area that's popular with the locals. We had curry and Korean chicken for takeout. Portions were large and tasty.

Stopped here on a whim due to good reviews. It was ok- no place to sit inside, 2 picnic tables outside. Do not come here for ambiance. Food was decent. I got the shrimp and boyfriend tried the pork. About $10/each for the combo lunch.

We found the takeout by accident and were not sorry! We had Nabeyaki Udon the first time and Tonkatsu and the teriyaki chicken with Harusame noodles which were excellent!

It’s the last remaining okazuya on Maui, so don’t miss out. You can order anything on the menu and be sure it will be tasty, hot, and well priced. Get there early and enjoy local favorites like katsu, Korean chicken, and roast pork. Pickled vegetables...are homemade and are delicious. The only thing that lacks flavor is the chow fun, but don’t let that stop you from enjoying this great, mom and pop restaurant.More

Cheapest meal we found in Maui but worth twice the price. It is a small place with picnic tables outside featuring fresh seafood, Japanese and Hawaaian fare. So many options and so much food. We stopped here after checking out the Maui Tropical Plantation and...Iao Valley Park. We were the only tourists. Great find.More
