Eagles Lighthouse Cafe is our go to breakfast place when we are visiting the Volcano area on the Big Island. Fantastic Fried Rice, homemade cookies and great sandwiches.

The fried rice breakfast was incredible and you cannot beat the $8 per sandwich’s for lunch. It made for a very yummy picnic in the park.
We stopped for lunch after our hike at Volcano National Park. We hit the jackpot! The special of the day was a grilled cheese burger and a cup of homemade chili. Our burgers were uniquely made and probably one of the best we’ve had. The...chili was also one of the best I’ve had. We also ordered a white coconut cake which was again excellent and delicious!! After our meal, I went back in and purchased 6 more desserts to go for later (only 4 made it back to our Airbnb).More
Great local family owned café in Volcano Village. We went here for breakfast and lunches and dessert more than once. Sounds isn't healthy with alfalfa sprouts. Breakfast are great to take to volcano national park for a big day of adventure.
This place was fun. It was a true local experience. The food was excellent. The servers were sweet. Yummy coconut cream pie!!!
My wife and I stopped here on the way to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. She had a ham sandwich with a side of mac salad and I had their Saturday spaghetti special with a side of potato salad. We were both very pleased with our...choices. It was the best spaghetti I’ve had in a long time. The included garlic bread was extra delicious too. The prices were lower than what we paid for similar meals in Kona and Hilo. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The outdoor dining area was clean and pleasant.More
CLOSED ON SUNDAY AND MONDAYS. Visiting the volcano and was wanting a quick bite to eat. Looked online and found this place. Looked delicious. Pulled up to the location and there was a sign on the door with there hours stating they were closed. This...information was not available online. Would recommend calling to make sure they are open before going!More
Unfriendly people, sorry. They’re one of the only budget lunch stops in town. The lunches are okay, nothing fantastic, but it’s definitely cheaper than most lunch places in Volcano. Not very friendly to locals.
Six minutes from the National Park gate. We were looking for something fast and simple for breakfast, and Eagles fit the bill just fine. Plenty of outdoor seating.
Four of us went. Ordered chilli, veggie chille, ham sandwich, salad and meal of the day which was sweet and sour pork with rice. Desserts too. Homemade food with authentic experience. Loved it as did the family. Order inside and eat at a picnic table...which is covered.More
Great stop after we hiked to lava flow before sunrise in Volcano National Park. Went back a few times as the food was so good. We loved the breakfast of brown rice, two meats (bacon and portaguese sausage) and eggs. You go inside to order...and then the staff brings out to you (outside tables).More
Excellent sandwiches with fresh ingredients and very low cost. Really a simple place with really quick service. Nothing fancy but good and quick. The Portuguese bean soup was very hearty and good and also a great price. Good simple corn bread. Great for a fast...bite or to pack some great sandwiches to go for a hike. Probably should give 5 stars if you are on a budget you can't go wrongMore
We stopped here twice, once for breakfast pre-hike and once to get to go sandwiches to take into the national park. Highly recommend the breakfast bowls or rice bowls, tasty and full of protein. The deli style sandwiches to go are great to take on...a hike with you. This is nothing fancy, just straight forward and simple food.More
Hi - Great place to pick up sandwiches before heading into the park. Limited menu but it was all good. We didn't try any of the hot food, but it looked good. Take out or dining on picnic tables outside.
Pleasant little lunch spot on the way to HVNP. While the food is not 5 start gourmet, I gave it 5 starts because it was good and reasonably priced. 2 sandwiches, a slice of quiche, and the rice, sausage, egg plate were all tasty. I...also appreciate any business that can maintain all restrictions and smile!More
