We started out by having salsa and chips as usual and then one of the servers came around with a card and made a wonderful guacamole right by our table. Then I had a wonderful 45 oz. pina colada. We had 4 people and everyone...got something tasty to eat. They do serve in a half capacity due to covid and the place was busy so maybe call if you have a bigger group? The staff was very nice and friendly and service was really good.More
While this restaurant has many of the typical offerings of a Mexican restaurant, it also had a few that are seen less frequently, such as mole. We appreciated that the place is large and we were able to be a distance from the nearest diners,...something we value during the Covid pandemic.
The server mistakenly brought me a medium-sized blended Margarita (instead of small), and I was ok with that since it turned out to be very good! The traditional dishes, such as burritos, tostadas, and choripollo were tasty and ample in size. The mango avocado chicken salad (over greens) was a wonderful blend of flavors.
Prices were on par with other Mexican restaurants.
We all left full and happy. I would enthusiastically return for some flavorful food.More
As in other post, I let my fingers do the walking and gave us Old Mexico, and it did not disappoint, we started out with chips and salsa, the salsa had the just enough of a kick, my wife had the Camarones al Ajillo, it...had 10 tiger shrimp and all the trimmings, avocado, peppers, garlic, lettuce and tomatoes and rice, she gave it high praise, I had a combination platter all beef tostada, burrito, and enchilada all good, the prices were reasonable and the staff was friendly and attentive.More
While visiting Door County recently we placed a to go order of carne asada and shrimp tacos. Both were excellent and the portions were generous. They even gave us chips and salsa to go. Would definitely return!
Am I ever conflicted on this place!! The menu has a huge variety and is filled with some things I haven't seen elsewhere. I tried the pina a la parrilla, while my wife went w/ the brasa chicken. Both of our orders tasted very good...until I felt nauseous. Add to my sudden sickness the fact that our waiter absolutely refused to come back to our table after we got our food (we saw him everywhere, tried to wave him over, but to no avail for 15 minutes after we were done), and I end up giving this place an average grade. They could be much better, but we had some big problems when we were there.More
This is a local favorite restaurant. Excellent food, margaritas, and service. I always get the shrimp trio (but I get all 15 grilled, not the other flavors-just my preference). Nice atmosphere, decent prices, excellent table-side fresh guacamole. I have never been disappointed here.
I love Mexican food... Period. I used to look forward to trips to Green Bay, as there are several (a local chain) of good quality Mexican food. Several years ago, Old Mexico opened in Sturgeon Bay. Now, my favorite place for Mexican food is right...here in Sturgeon Bay.More
Either too hot or too bland but mostly good authentic Mexican food. Guacamole prepared table side. My daughter likes it because of many gluten free choices. My wife’s was better than mine but servings are plentiful so no one left hungry.
