My wife and I stopped on a Tuesday in late September. They don’t take reservations, so we waited for 3-4 minutes while the hostess finished her personal call. She then informed us there would be a 40-50 minute wait. My wife pointed out that half...the tables were open. She then said she only had two waitresses (who could apparently only handle three tables each)! Since they had no waiting area or bar, my wife asked what we were supposed to do for 40-50 minutes? The hostess said most people walk the street and shop. It was after 6 pm and raining....stores were closed. We go to Door County quite a bit....we will never go back here. By the way, we went to Stone Harbor and had a great meal and a nice view!More

I have been coming to this place since it was located in an old train depot down the street in the early 1990s. I just moved back to Sturgeon Bay from Milwaukee, and we came here to celebrate our anniversary. We could not have been...more delighted! One of the things I love about DalSanto's is that they maintain tradition while also continuing to evolve. We had a delicious shrimp appetizer, and a wonderful Caesar Salad. The chicken parmesan was perfect - and was a normal amount of food, not the excessive portion that some folks serve. My partner really enjoyed her salmon. For dessert, we had the most luscious and perfect tiramisu! We could not have loved our meal more. I'm torn between wanting to go back regularly, and wanting to keep it as a special treat - maybe we'll have to try to make it both!More

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and wine. The pizza was better than average, but for a combo pizza, it could have had more toppings. The Lobster Ravioli was outstanding. The portions were huge and neither of us finished the entire serving. We enjoyed the leftovers a...few nights later. I recommend making a reservation, because there was a wait every time we tried to walk in. There is no bar at which to sit while waiting for a table so we walked down the street to a tap room and tasted beer until the Dal Santo called to tell us our table was ready.More

Lasagna was amazing!! So cheesy and delicious. The sauce was great. Started with beer cheese soup, which was good, but a bit fancy for my taste!

Nice location and atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food was lacking flavor and that wow factor for the price point of the dishes.

Our family ate here and everyone loved the food! Walleye, salmon, spinach and chicken ravioli and the spaghetti/polpetti. Portions were very good sized - no one left hungry. We will definitely be back!

I ordered the salmon. Perfectly seared but not overcooked. Flavorful but light sauce. Broccoli side was steamed to a slightly crisp finish. My wife had chicken and spinach ravioli and it, too, was perfectly prepared with crispy sage leaves. Such a treat! The wait staff...was kind, efficient and attentive. We saw a new staff person being trained and it was an great example of training for details. We most certainly will go back and highly recommend Trattoria Dal Santo. Note, it does get very busy. Make reservations or arrive when they open.More

Terrible interaction with owner who screamed me out of his restaurant when I asked if there was anything better the hostess could do besides quote 60-90 minutes wait for a party of five. Clearly they don’t want or need your business!

Eating here was a total delight. The quality of service and ambiance was exceeded only by the exceptionally high caliber of food. The walleye was perhaps the best preparation of fish I've ever had. Beef cheese soup Mushroom appetizer exceeded the high praise from so...many reviews. Met Michael the owner who graciously and humbly gave praise to the "two great guys" has has in the kitchen . Can't wait to return to try the Italian classics.More

Excellent restaurant. We had a very nice waiter, was prompt and informative. Food was great. Caesar salads are authentic, not just a bottle dressing. Shrimp scampi and Chicken ravioli were both excellent. Good wine. Price was very affordable. Would go back anytime.

When we came in the greeter was very rude and made the experience sour from the start. We were expecting a nice traditional Italian meal, but it had frills that didn’t need to be, like the bruschetta was not the classic tomato mix, although would...have been better that way. The beer cheese soup was great, although burning hot when it came out as well as my fiancé’s meal. He had to wait to really dig in until I was about finished with mine! The cocktails were in tiny glasses that were not worth the price. Overall the experience somewhat felt like a door county tourist trap. Would have preferred an Italian restaurant at home.More

We were recommend to this cozy gem and it did not disappoint! Food was impeccable, drinks were creative (Caprese Cocktail), and dessert was scrumptious! We can't wait to return!
