Lovely room — almost like a suite. Small sitting and sleeping areas separated by beautifully carved woodwork frame. Color scheme was attractive and relaxing. Large gas fireplace — obviously in July we didn’t need it, but it does work. Bathroom was a little small but fine; water pressure in the shower could have been a little stronger but otherwise no complaints. There’s a small breakfast nook where guests can get fresh baked pastries, cereal, juice and coffee. There’s also a number of hot teas (my preference), and everything can be taken to the rooms. One comment: there were two coffee dispensers, but the only way to heat up water for tea was the microwave. I would suggest getting another pump dispenser just for hot water. We had stayed at the same place a number of years ago when it had a different owner. The new owners changed the decor a bit to make the place their own. Didn’t see other rooms to compare, but ours was very pleasing. It was cool enough at night to sleep with the windows open, but note: the inn is in the heart of the city, so there’s lots of street noise at all hours.

We had tickets to the theatre so we were looking for for a place close by. Our first choice, that supposedly doesn't take reservations, had a 45 minute wait fir tables! So much forvfirst come first served. So we went across the street and gave Cedar Crossing a shot. We were very glad we did. The cocktails were very good. The artichoke spread appetizer was the right size and delicious and the entrees, chicken piccatta and fried walleye were nicely presented and very delicious. We have season tickets to the theatre so I am thinking that cedar crossing and their staff will get our patronage going forward. I'm sure we will be very pleased

We were looking for fine dining on a Sunday and many places are closed up here on Sundays for some reason. We were given a suggestion to try this place and were super pleased. We had a drink at the bar and the bartender was friendly and made a dandy muddled and shaken old fashioned with door county cherries. For dinner we ordered a variety of steaks and I don’t think a bite was left on the plates. Very tender and tasty and the sauce was special. We’ll be back for sure.

This is the second or third time we have tried this restaurant during a Door County trip and likely to be the last. The restaurant looks great and service is good, but food is nothing special. We ordered an appetizer that was an olive tapenade with goat cheese. The presentation was very nice, but neither of us liked it at all. Very salty. We decided to try the highly recommended steak with lemon horseradish butter. Steak was well cooked but neither of us could detect any horseradish taste. So it was a steak with lemon. Odd combo. The chocolate mousse was very good. Overall though, a very limited selection with one daily special and a few other entrees and never had a dinner worth coming back for.

We had a nice evening in the bar. However, we 1st ordered Margaritas, (regular Margaritas) and they were unrecognisable. We have no idea what was in those glasses... the bartender said the mix was fruit juice— it had sort if a mango & orange juice flavor! We could not drink it, so he brought us different drinks . The appetisers were great.

Sturgeon Bay is a wonderful home base for exploring the the Door County peninsula and the Inn at Cedar Crossing was a great find! It's location downtown makes it very convenient to shopping, dining, etc. The attached restaurant and bar were fantastic, with friendly service and creative and well-prepared food and cocktails! Despite being downtown, our room was very quiet and well-appointed. The bed was really comfortable. The cozy breakfast room was nice too. Although only a cold breakfast was being offered during our stay, the selections were great and much better than what some upscale hotels have been offering during the pandemic. Staff generally is out of sight, but you can still get anything you need. We actually welcomed the privacy.

Needing a place to eat and not having reservations worked out well at the Inn at Cedar Crossing. The waiter seated us promptly even without a reservation. We commend her for assisting us because nearly everyone after us had reservations. Our waiter was very congenial and efficient. We had a delightful meal and cocktails were of a local variety. It was very convenient because we were lodging in a B&B upstairs from this restaurant.

Had a late dinner upon arriving in Sturgeon Bay. Garlic Shrimp Pasta was fabulous and the Bone in Pork Chop was uniquely satisfying. Ceasars, our server was friendly and provided us information on local experiences and cuisine.

Amazing food here! Great atmosphere, but not stuffy. Friendly wait staff. My husband had the Chicken risotto, and I had the Vegetarian Coconut Curry Noodles (and added chicken). So delicious!! Service was wonderful and our hostess Amy helped us decide from the delicious meals on the menu. Our meals arrived quickly, and were SO flavorful. Highly recommend!

Nice restaurant with a full menu. The prices were reasonable. We saw couples as well as families enjoy the food. Our meals were good and we’d go back. The cherry pie was really good although it had a sweet almost yeasty bottom crust. Unusual and tasty. Good wine selection and great service.

The building and room we stayed in was perfect. Wonderful character and a cozy fireplace in room 3. Even with COVID they were very tentative to see that we had food options through out the day in the breakfast area and we could get extra towels or cups etc. as we needed them through our two night stay. Would love to stay again and check out the other rooms!

Classy but not stuffy. Breakfast to die for, great lunch specials, and great evening meals. Wait service is consistently of high quality. I am not going to comment on the breakfast rolls and other bakery items because the fewer peo0le that know about them the better!

We ate here for dinner on Father's Day. The walnut crusted orange roughy was excellent, and also the chicken risotto. Chicken Picatta also really good. Our server, Andrea, was very personable. We would definitely recommend Cedar Crossing when in Sturgeon Bay!

If you love Reubens, you will not be disappointed with the CC Reuben. Everything done in house. 1/4" thick corned beef, marbled rye. Very delicious. One of the best I've had! Had the sweet potato fries as a side. They brought a maple sugar-mustard sauce to dip them in. That was worth the drive here, all by itself. Hats (or should I say masks) off to the chef.

We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your meal! That maple mustard can be a secret weapon. We love to add it to other things as well....so when you dine with us again be sure to ask for a side :) Our chef did get a good chuckle from masks off the the chef! Thank you for bringing some light and laughter, we appreciate it!

A friend suggested we try Inn at Cedar Crossing and it went way beyond our expectations! In fact during our stay in Sturgeon Bay, WI, we had dinner there 3 evenings. It was just that good. The menu was varied and the chef had specials. The food and drinks were exceptional and the servers we had were efficient and friendly.
