We ordered the Chèvre Trio, which was amazing. Followed by some of the best lobster bisque we’ve ever tasted. The pappardelle and bolognese pasta course could be skipped it was overly sauced which hid the flavor of the handmade pasta. The prawn dish was outstanding as well. Impressive wine selection. Very attentive staff.

This is the restaurant with the nicest ambiance that we could find in Door County. The name of the restaurant is also correct as it is on the the waterfront and we watched several sailboats during our meal. Service was professional and old school. The food was very nice too. The wine by the bottle prices were quite reasonable for this type of a restaurant. This would be a wonderful place for a romantic dinner or to celebrate special occasion. I highly recommend it.

Even tho' it's unfair to say this is my fav right now, because meals change so often in the restaurant biz, I will say it. This month, I have been trying to find a great restaurant, and haven't found it in Door County, until the Waterfront. It became my favorite because of the server, view, plated food and taste of food. We called a couple weeks in advance for a reservation....I think that always helps. We came with another couple, got a window table , which the hostess called celebrity view. Whatever. Leah was our server, very friendly and helpful. Our friends loved the tomato soup and my husband and I loved our salads....the caesar was very flavorful and crisp. Loved the wine choices. My husbands halibut and my swordfish entrees were beautifully plated and magnificently delicious. The fish was prepared as it should be, not dried out like some restaurants serve it. Our friends loved their entrees as well. We were also happy for the choices of fish on the menu. We always feel when a restaurant is on the water, that there should be more than a couple fish choices. Thank you Waterfront!

3 stars based on lackluster service. My food, tenderloin, was delicious and good feedback on the halibut—however, the pasta dishes where slightly elevated above Chef Boyardee—flavorless and unwelcoming presentation. Out server must have had other things on her mind—it was certainly not our table; never given or offered any drink refills; forgot soup for one member of party and had to be reminded; never offered cracked black pepper for the tiny wedge salad (it was good) despite sitting next to the table of pepper. Overall, pricey for subpar food and service— will have to really give this some consideration on returning to this restaurant.

My wife and I were looking for a special place to celebrate our 33rd anniversary. We made reservations for Friday, a day early, to avoid the massive Saturday crowd. We were told we would have a water-side table. We were seated at a table angling away from water, however. The salad was delicious! The four scallops were tasty. Although it was a pleasant experience, the ambiance advertised and the service were less than special. If you will feel special by spending, this is your place. If you are looking for a truly electric dinner, keep looking. We will find another place next year.

Delicious food, unique cocktails, beautiful view, great service. We saw online that they had a vegan dish available when making advanced reservations. They were very kind about letting us know what menu options would work for our dietary restrictions, and it was DELICIOUS and cooked perfectly. We will definitely be back.

Having enjoyed this restaurant numerous times over the last 12 years, we have come to expect excellence. The lobster bisque did not disappoint! Neither did the small plate seared scallops and the pot de creme which was wonderful! However, the Thai crab salad was less than delicious, the halibut was overcooked and the shrimp and grits were so salty they were nearly inedible. When we mentioned the salty shrimp and grits to our server, he was practically rude, replying that they had never before had a complaint. He was then surly for the remainder of the evening.

My husband and I dined here during a long weekend in Door County. I requested and got a table by the window and so we had an incredible view. We started our meal with a glass of wine and two salads. My garden salad was incredibly fresh and the dressing complimented it perfectly. I has the halibut, which is my fish of choice whenever I see it on the menu. It was a good size portion which was firm and the sauce and vegetables that accompanied it were perfect. My husband had the pasta bolognese which he said was delicious. We split a decadent chocolate pot de creme for dessert. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for its quality of food, excellent service, and extraordinary view. Cost per person was about $75 with tax and tip.

My husband and I went for tapas hour at the bar. There were plenty of seats when we arrived shortly after 5 but the bar area quickly filled up over the course of the evening. We started with an aperol spritz and cranberry spritz (the cocktail special for the evening). For tapas, we had the scallop, lobster, and lamp chop which were just the right size for sampling. We also shared the truffle pappardelle which was excellent. Service was prompt and friendly. They also have a beautiful patio in the back where we watched the sunset after dinner.

Went on a Sunday evening with no reservations and were offered a spot at the bar. That worked great for us, allowed us to watch and talk with the bartender. He gave us some recommendations on where to go on the typical off days of Monday and Tuesday and made us some tasty drinks. My husband ordered the lobster bisque, which he was talking about days later, and the small plate scallops. I ordered the large plate scallops, which were very tasty. Lots of textures and flavors with the perfectly sweet and salty scallops. A lovely evening. As we were leaving the host offered for us to walk around to the water to take some pictures and walk around.

Arrived early for our reservation and as a "thank you" they gave us the best table in the place, we got to see an absolutely beautiful sunset. On top of that, the food did not disappoint either. We had calamari to start, so good, lemon zest they added totally made the dish. I had the halibut, which was good, my husband had the tenderloin which was to die for! Perfectly cooked, so flavorful, possibly the best steak we have ever had. Thank you for a great anniversary dinner!!

We made reservations for a special occasion based on menu and atmosphere. The Waterfront exceeded our expectations. Warm greetings by the staff made us feel like old friends. Drinks at the bar were excellent and so were our dinners. The view from our table of the harbor and sunset was magnificent. We look forward to coming back!

Enjoyed a romantic candle lit dinner for 2. Although the clouds rolled in before sunset, it was still a beautiful water view. The meal and service were excellent. My husband had a tuna and shiitake mushroom dish and I enjoyed scallops. Wine list was fun- we went with Merry Edwards 2017 Sauvignon blanc- wonderful. This restaurant tops my list in Sister Bay.

If you are looking for a higher end place fit for foodies- this is it. The wine list and menu are excellent with the fish and seafood being the standouts. Highly recommend the lobster bisque, lobster ravioli, shrimp and grits and halibut.

Six of us celebrated my husband’s 65th birthday here. The food, ambience, and service were delightful and sophisticated. We shared several small plates and each of us ordered an entree. The scallops and risotto were outstanding as was the lobster bisque. I enjoyed the lamb. A nice wine selection. Save room for dessert. Everyone loved the flourless chocolate cake but I had the crepe brûlée, which was delicious and creamy with citrus undertones.
