Dined in the beer hall after taking the tour (which was great by the way!). We started with the cheese curds and really enjoyed them. They were large nuggets and we did not think they were greasy at all. I then had the fish and...chips which were also very good. I would get them again. It was a Saturday night and the beer hall had a great energy. It is a large space that has a great feeling…you aren’t in a an old warehouse with some second hand tables and chairs. If we were to visit Milwaukee again I would go back to Lakefront Brewing.More

I am in Milwaukee on business, and I’m thrilled to have found this place. Excellent beer, I highly recommend the hazy IPA Rabbit, delicious food in a really cool historic building. Happened to be there on drag queen bingo, as well. If nothing else, go...for a good beer and the kielbasa and sauerkraut.More

What a great spot! We picked Lakefront for dinner on our one and only night in Milwaukee and it was better than we could have imagined. They have a large draft list and a great food menu with several vegetarian options. I appreciated that all...of the food came in eco-friendly to-go containers so we could easily pack up leftovers. The patio area was relaxing with great views of the river. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The beers were all great, but the stand out was the Brewers Reserve Honey Bock was especially excellent. We ordered cheese curds, fried pickles, cheese fries, Mac and cheese, and a sausage flight. The Mac and cheese wasn't as cheesy as we'd hoped, but everything else was outstanding. We would definitely come back.More

Always fun to come here. A wide selection of great beers, friendly people and good food. We did not take the tour this time but have in the past. Do it, it’s worth it.

I was so surprised to see how large the beer hall really was...then the outdoor space as well. The hostess will seat you when a table is available. Maybe because of covid but no communal tables. Little me had to sit at a huge table...all by myself. Then to get up and get your beer, then order food. I didn't want to leave my food or beer sitting alone on the table. People not really cleaning tables - only when you depart. Overall - beer was good, food a bit over priced for quality. But it is a place to try!More

We went on the tour on a Monday, so the restaurant wasn't open, but the tour was fun and not too long. A Mr. Littlejohn was our guide and he is hilarious with a bit of history thrown in. It is surprising how well this...business has done in a short time. The drinks were good and it was just a fun experience!More

Took the tour of brewery on a Monday. Don't. No access to see the workings of a brewery so some good reason. Experienced guide had to yell to be heard and then I heard only maybe 2 words of 10. Most to tour stand up...routine. But laughter is good. Beer was good. Why not using new technology and a microphone/speaker for those who value the spoken word. Heck use old school tech and a megaphone, but if I cannot hear you why say anything. The beer hall very nice venue, restored warehouse. This business located on the river not the lake, so confused why called Lakefront Brewery. Good gift shop. Food was so so. Uber travel to and from but parking might be an issue, maybe. Not a bad experience, it just could have been better.More

For my single day in MKE, I was excited to try what I've been told was one of the city's premier breweries. Sadly, it was not a great experience. I came just after they opened and let the bartender know I was going to try...a flight. You know, in order to taste several beers. As you do with a flight. He seemed confused at first, giving me an "okay???" - I asked if that was an issue, since they clearly sold flights, and he just mentioned it was a better price to get three larger beers on a smaller flight. Good to know, but his attitude bordered "know-it-all ness". Anyway, got my flight and my cheese curds and sat down. Cheese curds were phenomenal, as I'd heard, but the beers were barely cold. All of them. I'd say slightly cooler than room temperature, which made drinking the whole flight a bit of a chore. I did finish them, because even cool the beers were tasty, but I was really disappointed. I'm hoping I just came on an off day. Bartender could have been overworked, coolers could have been on the fritz. But, we all know what they say about first impressions...More

We sat outside and had a couple of drafts and cheese curd appetizer. It’s like a food truck service outside, place an order and they’ll call your number once it’s ready. Very nice location, cheese curds seemed a bit on the greasy side, otherwise nice...spot.More

My wife and I went on a recent Friday night. We both had two different fish fries. Beer was excellent as expected. Entire meal was very reasonably priced, food quality and service were excellent.

We missed out on the tour but thoroughly enjoyed the fish fry. There was live polka music and it was not too loud that we couldn't enjoy talking with the music in the background, We started with fried cheese curds (when in Wisconsin...) which were...really good. My husband did not care for the chicken nuggets but I enjoyed the fish fry and the french fries were delicious! Good beer too. I highly recommend a stop here for dinner (make sure to make a reservation if going for Friday night fish fry). Service was great and fast.More

The service in this was place was very quick and friendly. They helped decide the best thing to order very well. The food itself was a little above average. The Buffalo chicken finger basket with garlic ranch had a nice kick, and the cheese curds...were good, but very oily. Overall a decent place for good Milwaukee food. The bratwurst was excellentMore

We enjoyed our food and the atmosphere. The behalf was very busy but there is a door to the side with a few more tables that no one noticed so we were able to snag one on a busy Saturday afternoon. Food was good we...all loved the cheese curds. My husband loved his roast beef poutine. The Brussels sports were cooked well and flavorful. We tried a few different of the beers all were so so. We loved the maple root beer and left with a case.More

Kids are welcome on the tour at the parents discretion as the tour content can enter into some adult themes. That being said, plenty of kids do join their parents on the tour every week.
