We visited Story Hill BKC after a Brewers game, on a Saturday evening at 6:30. It was packed (glad we had a reservation!) and very bustling. Next to us was a table of six young women celebrating (a birthday?) and having a very good time....The noise level (aside from birthday party) was not conversation-friendly. But oh, the food was great and the drinks were awesome. My husband got the pub cheeseburger (we could have just imbibed the accompanying sauce straight) and I chose the burrata and bread. We almost literally licked the plates clean. And the drinks were both inventive and tasty. We topped off with chocolate cream pie and coffee and left very happy. So don’t go expecting a romantic, quiet evening, but do go if you’re looking for great food and happy dining companions.More

This was the first restaurant we visited on a recent trip to Milwaukee. The bar was set so high that nothing else really compared! The menu is creative and we loved the different sized plates to choose from. The crayfish rangoons are amazing and short...rib gnocchi was a winner! Cocktails on tap - I had the sangria and my husband had the old-fashioned - were awesome, especially during happy hour when they were discounted. Do not miss this one. It is a sure winner!More

Has an upscale feel without having to dress up or coming across with a certain "air." Food was delicious and our server knew the menu and was able to make some great recommendations. Loved the wine tasting available. Each item we ordered was well prepared....The items listed as "share" were plenty for two people. Appreciated every aspect of the dining experience here!More

Good quality food with an extreme wide selection of drinks, including various wines from all over the world. The concept of the restaurant is based on sharing, you can pick food to share in various sizes. Kind service.

The shareable concept allowed for multiple tastings, all of which were exceptional. We had the duck pastrami salad, the grande mozzarella with balsamic vinegar cabbage, beef tartare, and our favorite, the trout with maple waffle. Really creative, unusual combinations that worked!

We were at American Family Field for a tour and needed to find a place to eat before the tour. Being fairly close, we decided to check out this restaurant for a quick bite. My husband is pretty picky and I would not normally pick...this restaurant for him because the options are different, but I thoroughly enjoyed my meal (a crepe with berries and bananas). I would definitely return and in fact, am trying to figure out how to arrange another trip so that I can return! The server was great too.More

We enjoyed our visit to this interesting restaurant. It is a convivial atmosphere and can get rather loud when some more boisterous parties are nearby. But it's fun. We started with the excellent cheese spread topped with a wonderful jam and served with fine accouterments....We also enjoyed a salad. My wife got the mushroom lasagna which was excellent as was the Milwaukee Carve dish with an excellent steak, delicious cheese curds, and gerkins in a demi glace sauce. It was all very good. The only glitch was we ordered one of the "Bindings" or side dishes of what sounded like a really good Yukon Gold Gratin. But we were well into our entrees without this side showing up. Eventually we flagged down our waitress who said "Oh yeah, that just takes a while." Well, we are pretty sure she failed to submit it originally because more time went by and we were finished with our meal when we flagged down someone else to cancel the side dish. A few minutes later it arrived but we waved it off. I mean, we were finished. The server never owned the error. Without a word, the restaurant did comp our dessert (and really good one) but that glitch was disappointing. Otherwise, this is a fun place with fine food. Be warned that if it's baseball season and the Brewers have a home game, parking and just getting to this place can be a challenge.More

After a day at the zoo we looked up good places to eat nearby and landed here. I'm so glad we did! I don't even know where to start--everything was amazing. The food here is meant to be shared, so our order arrived one dish...at a time. Our waitress was stellar with her timing and also interacting with our 3-year-old. (They do have kids menus with crayons). She made sure our toddler's order arrived with our first course, which allowed us to enjoy our meal and conversation in relative peace. We had the mushroom hand pies, oregano risotto, and pork chop schnitzel, followed by the creme brulee. We savored every bite. I'm so glad we found this place!More

We were just driving through, but staying the night just north of Milwaukee. I decided to look up restaurants in the city, and the reviews and menu convinced me that we should try this. SO glad we did. We were able to sit outside on...a beautifully warm evening. Service was excellent - friendly, helpful and rapid. We had the Pork Gyoza and Mushroom Hand Pies as starters. Oh, YUM! Especially the mushroom - a creamy pate in a delicate crust with a small amount of a sweet syrup drizzled over them. For our mains, we had short rib gnocchi and Spring Walleye. My husband isn't necessarily a fish fan, but he loved and inhaled the walleye - tender, moist, and the fresh vegetable sauce over it was delicious. I had the beef short rib, and this was quite good, but I was drooling over (and had as my dessert) the elote. It was creamy, sweet corn goodness with a hint of spice and delicious roasted flavor. Cocktails were good, if not a little sweet. I highly recommend the Supper Club Sour as a nicely balanced drink.More

We started with the escargot and pretzel bread--amazing. I ordered the seared Steelhead trout with sweet corn and potato hash special and my boyfriend had the short rib gnocchi. Everything about these dishes was perfect and complimentary. We had the remainder for lunch the next...day and it was great a second time! Our server was delightful and attentive. We made reservations and were lucky to get the last slot available on a Saturday, so you might want to as well so you don't miss out.More
