This is officially my favorite seafood restaurant ever. I ordered catfish and the beurre blanc sauce was out of this world! Great appetizers, too. and the decor is very artsy and colorful, lively. There is even a seafood store at the entrance. All around, wonderful...place to eat.More

Fresh seafood and so many good things on the menu! Would recommend the lobster roll and some oysters. Their coleslaw is also really good and hides behind the many other great offerings.

Fairly disappointing. We haven't been there for a few years and decided to visit again for lunch at the site in the Public Market. My wife had a cup of the Shrimp and Sausage Gumbo which she liked. I had a bowl of the Lobster...Bisque which was mediocre. We then ordered a crab cake sandwich to share. This was horrible. The crab cake was mushy and devoid of much flavor, even when you seperated it from the sandwich. Having lived in Maine and Maryland, we know what crab cakes are supposed to taste like. I am not sure how they make theirs, but some lump crab meat is expected!More

We were all excited to try st.Paul company. We started out at the bar with cocktails and appetizers and everything was very good at the bar. Then it came time to sit down for dinner and as we were walking in to be seated we...noticed that a lot of people were wearing jackets. When we sat down we knew right away why there were quite a few people wearing jackets as they ate dinner. It was very cold in the room we were sitting in and there was a air vent right above us blowing down on the tables. So we asked are server if she could ask for the air to be turned off as it was very cold. She said that she would talk to the manager. After about 20 minutes the air was still blasting away so we asked are server if she talk to the manager and she said that she did and the manager would see what she could do. After about another 20 minutes I got up and asked to speak to the manager she came over and said that she talk to the large party that was in the same room as us and that they said that they were all ok but she never talked to any of the other tables in the same room. She came to are table and told us that she turned the air to 69. There is nothing worse than having to eat dinner with a jacket on and having to eat fast so your food doesn’t get cold and that is exactly what happened! How often do you go out to dinner and see multiple people wearing jackets as they eat? It was very disappointing in what little the manager did to rectify the problem. The temperature out side was 55 degrees.More

Threw the clam chowder in garbage because it was inedible. My wife wanted to take it back to the counter but i`ll just be a silent dissatisfied customer. Walleye fry was not much better dry and tasteless. Was so looking to eat here after all...the reviews and what a let down.More

One of the best seafood restaurants in town. The Lobster Roll is great. Also the Boullibase with assorted seafood. Located on the Milwaukee Public Market, which is an adventure in itself. Lots of choices for those in your group who may not like seafood.

The lake fish was so fresh and well prepared that we ate here twice in four days. A nice variety in the menu and the adjacent raw bar is a big plus. Service is quick and friendly. Parking (a fee) is convenient. Prices for the...quality of the food are reasonable.More

First of all, the restaurant was tucked inside of the 3rd ward public market, great location. Our server was pleasant, no complaints about the service at all. We had the clam chowder and peel-n-eat shrimp for starters, and the grouper tacos and jumbo shrimp fry...for entrees. Not only did all of our seafood taste great and incredibly fresh, the prices were fair in relation to the portion sizes, especially taking into account the quality of the food. Highly recommended.More

Nestled in the opening of the Public Market, St. Paul's has a small dining area. It's small but the tables are spaced well. Service by Carolyn was friendly, helpful, and attentive. She was wonderful. Word to the wise, skip the soups - chowder and gumbo....They are ok, average at best, and not worth filling up on. Fried oysters were amazing and easily enough for 3. The fried Walleye was spectacularly good - lightly fried with a great flavor. It comes with homemade coleslaw and perfect fries. The Walleye was a very large piece of fish and we split it.More

This casual restaurant in the public market in/near 3rd Ward is very well-run, even when it's crowded. All the staff I interacted with were friendly and competent. My server recommended their pan sauteed Walleye as I wanted to try something local. I received a generous...portion with rice pilaf and grilled veggies. I don't know which was better: the texture & flavor of the fish (my first time for Walleye) or the perfect cook. If I were local, this place would be in my heavy rotation.More

So much to choose from and we ended up getting fish tacos and shrimp tacos. They were outstanding. Flavorful protein topped by very generous servings of cabbage and sauce. Two tacos also come with a bag of locally created chips to make for a great...meal. If you order your meal to-go, you can take them up to the dining area on the Public Market’s second floor. Highly recommend for the view and to soak up the hall’s fun vibe.More
