Lots to love about this place. Food is excellent with dishes showcasing a hardy flair. Their Classic Benedict used home smoked pulled pork and perfectly poached eggs w/ tangy hollandaise. Side of hash browns was not stingy. Sit at the bar and enjoy a Spotted...Cow or enjoy outdoor seating in a quiet neighborhood. Coffee from local roaster Valentine. Plenty of parking. Prices reasonable.More

Blue's Egg is one of my favorite restaurants, and a friend and I meet here a few times a year for breakfast. On this occasion we met early, when the restaurant was less crowded, and it was easier for us to hear one another. On...this visit our server, Jose, was just great! I recently decided that I would try something new when dining out rather than selecting what I am comfortable with. On this occasion, I chose the Bowl of Rejuvenation, described as farro, arugula, roasted broccoli, mushrooms, and wild wonder tomatoes, sliced avocado, feta cheese, cucumber, radish, poached eggs or tofu scramble, sofrito sauce, a healthy choice, for sure! The picture of this dish on the restaurant's website looked delicious, and that also influenced my choice. Bad choice. Nothing on the plate played well with the other items. I didn't care for the sofrito sauce, and, therefore, didn't eat the eggs. I ate around the sauce and enjoyed the cucumber and radish slices, mushrooms, broccoli. The farro was the best part of the meal for me. More than half of the meal remained on my plate when I decided that I was done. This review isn't a criticism of Blue's Egg. It is still one of my favorite Milwaukee-area restaurants, and I will definitely return. Next time, though, I will stick with the tried-and-true breakfast delights I have come to enjoy.More

We visit Blue’s Egg several times a year and loved it. It seems they are resting on their laurels. Our food was cold and our waitress never came back to ask how things were….just gave us our bill. It will be a long time before...we return.More

The food is nothing special please do not bother to go. The ketchup is off brand. The hash browns were not cooked and very long u could choke on them. Our server was Victoria and she had a bit of an attitude. Hardly checked on...us, and completely ignored me but only talked to my husband. Even when taking the order and the menus she would not recognize me at all and only look at him. Felt very disrespected.More

We stopped here for breakfast/lunch. The food here is always amazing and on a weekday there was no waiting at lunchtime. I had a pulled ham and onion omelette with fantastically prepared hash browns (crispy on the outside and soft in the center) and sour...dough toast. Yum!! Service was great and I can't wait to go back.More

Service was quick and friendly. If you like hash browns, these are here good. Presentation is nice. Otherwise food was average. My omelet was very dry and overcooked. Toast was actually cold. My husband had eggs Benedict that was really only so-so. Not worth the...hype or the reservation.More

Met a friend here for a late breakfast and weren’t disappointed. Super service, excellent menu choices, good coffee and tasty food make this a winner. Plenty of parking. Might get crowded on the weekends, in which case a reservation may be the way to go....Thumbs up!More

While on a holiday weekend visit to Milwaukee from Chicago, made local requests for recommendations for a late breakfast/early brunch...and received numerous citations of "Blue's Egg". We discovered these recommendations were very well founded. We ordered 2 things to share: an original Eggs Benedict, as...well as a Fritata with cheese and several vegetable ingredients...they were both delectable (and more than substantial...). The crispy hash browns topped with caramelized onions that came along with the Eggs Benedict were scrumptious, and the ham included substantive hunks and shreds (not just a single little slice...) off of a real ham. The fritata was similarly a collection of delectable ingredients...wonderfully prepared. I also (being in "vacation mode", ordered a Bloody Mary)...which was very good. Note to you non-Wisconsinites: Bloody Marys come with miniature cans of Wisconsin beers (Miller Lite today, and Leinenkugel in a previous visit to Milwaukee...) as a "chaser". Lastly, our server (Katie...) was utterly delightful and gave us wonderful recommendations for dinner spots later in the day. Enjoy!More

What an amazing experience. This was our first time at Blue Egg. I’m not even sure where to start. The staff was beyond awesome. We were welcomed and waited on in the most positive and professional manner. Jeanna treated us like royalty. The food was...absolutely delicious. The eggs benedict and stuffed hash browns were off the hook. The Bloody Mary was probably one of the best I’ve ever had. Our server Nicole was outstanding. We laughed and had a great time. It was truly an amazing dining experience. We hugged the staff on our way out. 5 stars all around.More

You can view the menu for prices. Agree w/above that entree is less than $15. I've tried coming early, coming late=they are always busy! You can leave though after you put your name in and get a text when your table is ready.
