Gander and Ryegrass is the best fancy restaurant in Spokane. The food is over-the-top delicious, the service is both impeccable and charismatic, and the folks in the kitchen do an amazing job of tailoring the meals to accommodate "food rules" such as avoiding allergens or...coping with other dietary restrictions. Definitely our favorite place to go for a nice dinner.More

I followed this restaurant on Instagram and was really looking forward to our meal. They just didn't "nail it". We had the pasta courses & we agreed two of the dishes were very good but the other dishes were not. The wine pairing was very...nice though. Our server was wonderful. If I did return I would order ala carte.More

One of the best dinners I’ve had in Spokane. We enjoyed every bite of their exquisite tasting menu. It’s speedy but well worth the splurge. We hope to go every quarter!

My wife and I shared the three course so basically we had six courses. Everything was excellent. The food was very well prepared. Very good service.

The dinner I had at Gander and Ryregrass was so good that I returned for lunch. Unfortunately, the menu changes pretty regularly and, as a result, isn't online or on Facebook. For dinner: But the food is excellent and those who are foodies will appreciate...the multiple courses with the wine pairing option. Best of all, portion size is reasonable without being too much. It's about the food, not being bloated after an appetizer. For lunch: The menu is a little more limited and very meat heavy. I was disappointed the fish or vegetarian options at dinner weren't available for lunch. Service was excellent, both at lunch and dinner. The wine list is one of the best in Spokane. Best of all, there are some excellent wines by-the-glass. Prices aren't cheap. With a couple glasses of wine, tip, and tax, you're looking at over $175-$250 per person. But it's more than worth it.More

Oh, dear lord, this was our first place for dinner during our visit, and did it ever set a very high standard! Your choice of meal is either the six-course chef's tasting menu or a three course meal that offers two options per course. My...husband and I had one of each - I can't remember exactly what we had (waited too long to write this review) but everything was absolutely delicious, from drinks to dessert. Staff bent over backwards to make sure we had a wonderful experience. Absolutely highly recommended - book early!More

This is a special occasion place for people with disposable income. I did the 3-course meal for $72. The food was excellent. You must be prepared for the experience which will not be quick and will not include large quantities of food. Many unique and...excellent drinks. Emily served us very pleasantly and with a smile visible despite the mask. Since it was our first time she helped us navigate the preset menu and allowed us to order single dishes.More

Absolutely phenomenal lunch. Everything on the menu is made in house. Gourmet cuisine with european/italian emphasis. Amazing wine list with great prices. Professional Service with knowledgeable staff. Setting in a historic building. What else could someone ask for in a lunch restaurant? How about homemade...chocolate truffles with a hazelnut in the middle!!! Enjoy...More

Unbeknownst to us, we visited Gander and Ryegrass during during Spokane's restaurant week. Unfortunately this meant that several items on the menu were not available. We ordered a roasted carrot salad, two pasta dishes, one with a variety of wild mushrooms, which we were advised...had an upcharge, and two glasses of bubbly. The food was quite good, particularly the mushroom pasta, though portions were, let's say, "delicate". I was astounded when the bill came and the price for the mushroom pasta was $32 - for a small appetizer sized portion. All in all, even though the food was quite good, I can't really recommend G&RG. The value isn't there. Spokane has other great options. Was disappointed.More

My husband and I have been back three times to have the tasting menu. You get a lot of food for the money. We think we had 12-13 courses. There were several smaller bites/plates to start your palate off to to what will be a...very enjoyable experience which took approx. 2.5 to 3 hours from beginning to end. We did the drink pairing, which we highly recommend as well. Service was excellent. We cannot wait to go back. We order sandwiches from then during the week on Treehouse.More

I was pleasantly surprised to find high quality excellently prepared food at this restaurant. Their wine selection was very upscale. We have eaten at a number of the top ten restaurants in Spokane this week and I have absolutely no idea why they are not...in the top ten in this city. Give it a try, you will be pleasantly surprised.More

We were the only patrons in this place for lunch that day. Our light lunch consisted of Bread by Erica, charred octopus salad, iced tea and Brick West IPA. The waiter was masked, as well as the staff in the kitchen. The only snafu was...that the sugar for the tea turned out to be salt! This was quickly rectified.More

Stumbled across this place close to the hotel and boy were we lucky. Fantastic cocktails, excellent service and inspired menu. We weren't hungry enough to do the "fancy tasting menu" but it looked amazing. Wish we had more time in Spokane.... Would definitely dine again....It is too new to be highly rated, so get in there before you can't get a reservation!More
