LaConner, romantic tourist community on the Swinomish channel which is 11 miles long N-S separates Fidalgo Island from mainland beginning in Salish Sea and ending in Padilla Bay on the North. One main street houses all-most all restaurants, and hotels, a brewery, shops and motels...and one Boutique hotel. Over flow parking north and south of the business district.. poorly located for people with walking issues. (no shuttles from parking areas). Family friendly, Pub and indoor dining with Channel overlook deck (actually suspended over the water) makes this a romantic evening venue though it can be a bit noisy because tables are close together on the deck....
We both ordered Halibut Fish and chips 3 piece, two house Pino Grigio 9oz., and water....The entre' allows for substitute for fries (we ordered grilled asparagus) Fish was substantial...breaded in a panco/beerbatter crust light and flakey, 1/4 cup of slaw, and the grilled spears...excellent. The chilled Pino topped off a great meal on the deck at a corner table....Street-side parking is hardly ever available when you need it so plan ahead to drop and park and then walk back. $88 for two meals wine included with great venue is a good deal....we had close by street parking
makes it even better....View of the channel, passing boats, and the occasional whale....in the evening bring a cover it can be cool. Gulls a-plenty.More
