It was a wonderful experience on Friday night. No waiting at all and food quality was awesome. We ordered all vegetarian food like three dishes for three people and it was all great. Desserts were yummy too. Must try place in Downtown Bothell

Excellent service, a menu with many different choices, a well-stocked bar, and delicious food makes me a huge fan and satisfied customer. My butternut squash ravioli with mushrooms was delicious. The pepperoni pizza was a work of art and flavorful.
Handicap ac ess and free garage parking right next door were added benefits.

We didn't spot any garage parking but found street parking near this nice restaurant. The location is a generic walking mall setting, but the restaurant itself was wonderful. We were there for Valentine's Day and were greeted at our table with a beautiful long stemmed red rose. Everything was good from there. My Old Fashioned cocktail was strong and delicious, we loved our bruschetta and Caesar salad first courses, our entrees of beef tenderloin and puttanesca seafood pasta were beautifully prepared and delicious, and our tiramisu desserts were sensational. I also loved my glass of syrah with the entree. Service was friendly, fast and very helpful. We felt like little animals coming out of a cave as this was the first time in months we dined out, but what a nice place to do it. We'll be back.

I’ve eaten at Amaro several times and had good experiences, until last night. My boyfriend and I arrived at about 5:00 for happy hour. We were hoping to grab a bite before a nearby concert. The tables in the bar were full, but there were a scattering of unclaimed seats at the bar. Several patrons were saving seats for friends; several unclaimed seats were still available. We asked one of the patrons if he would move a seat over so we could sit together in two of the unclaimed seats. No response. The other patron near an unclaimed seat avoided eye contact with us. We explained the situation to the hostess. She looked at the empty unclaimed seats, shrugged her shoulders, and said we could wait for a table to open up. We asked if she could ask one of the patrons at the bar to move over one seat so we could sit together in the unclaimed seats. She shook her head again. We left and had a nice meal at another nearby restaurant.

Originally, I wanted to check out Kro Bar so I did the trek to the northern territories of the East Side. Was concerned, because I never feel safe in that area. Anyhow. Once at Kro Bar, I did a 180º turn and straight out the door. Why? Because that bar smelled extremely strong like a urinal. Wild parties in Bothell, I reckon, but my nose could not stand the smell. After some googling, I came across Amaro, which seems to be Bothell's finest.
The place is inviting, albeit a little loud. The burrata was delicious and beautifully plated. The bucatini with pesto were good, although the chef dipped the hand into the salt bowl twice. So far so good... so why 3/5? Because service was as slow as a glacier (pre-global-warming speed that is). Everything took ages to get to the counter and mind you: I was sitting right next to the expediter. So I could watch my plate sit there for 5+ min before one of the servers decided to check which ticket it was. Needless to say, during the whole meal there were two servers in front of me behind the counter chit chatting and polishing what seemed to be the same fork (ok, I exaggerate a little, but please try to embrace the feeling here) over and over. Like ground-fork day. Someone needs to crack the whip in the place, because even though it was no more than 60% full, there were too many servers doing nothing really.
Will I go back? Frankly, the effort to go to the northern territories would require the restaurants to match the effort. So I shall stay in the Kirkland area where good restaurants are plentiful. Bothell, I shall miss you not.

Mediocre at best. Takes forever to get a drink. They are losing tons of revenue by not getting drinks out faster. Pizza was ok and the shrimp appetizer seemed like it was frozen shrimp. The chicken risotto was great!

Went with a large group. I do believe my dinner was worse than others, as othe people seemed happier with theirs. Appetizers were very good. My beet and goat cheese salad, one of my favorite salads, was just OK. My salmone, described as a spicy-crusted seared king salmon, was WAY overcooked for anything called seared - the salmon itself was about right for a baked or pan-cooked salmon, but also not seasoned at all. I'd never had fredola sarda and I tried it, I found it very heavy and not very tasty. Desert and service were good.

We loved this restaurant!! The staff were very attentive and professional, the food was amazing! The area seemed nice, we have never been to Bothell before, but really liked it. I really can’t fault anything about it. We had a very enjoyable evening. Well done to all the staff there.

First, let me mention that another review here states parking in garage is free...otherwise it was diffucult to score parking which is a deterrent.
Had the ravioli funghi which i felt was THE best meal of this 5 day visit to WA. My husband's funghi pizza was ALSO wonderful. Along w/ 2 glasses of chianti and tip made bill a whopping $75. Noise level nade talking VERY hard. If it weren't for the really good food this would be a lower rating.
NOTE: JUST noticed 3.5% surcharge had been added ...so we way overtipper.

This is truly a special restaurant in Bothell! We were not served for over two hours at McMenamins Anderson school down the street (even though they were not busy) and finally left to go to Amaro Bistro. The hostess greeted us with a smile, we were sat quickly, and the server sympathized with us and totally turned our whole evening around! Thank you again Amaro Bistro for taking care of us and making it a special evening!!!
