Looking for the very best in everything, look no further. From the moment you step through the doors, they treat you as an honored guest in their home. Elegant, warm, cozy and inviting in every way possible. The service is fabulous and the food even...better. From the creamy escargot topped with puff pastry, to the lobster tail paired with beef and who could pass up the seared sea bass or the decadent veal. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu! And if brunch inspires you, the croissants are to die for along with the eggs benedict and French toast! Bistro L’Hermitage has my filled heart with servers that feel more like friends and food that always exceeds my expectations.More

Excellent food, service and overall experience. Take your time and enjoy it. The only complaint is that diners still insist on using cell phones and some true morons wear their baseball caps.

I made reservations at 8:00 PM the night before thanksgiving. I had family from out of town who would not be around for thanksgiving, so it was intended as a celebration. Having enjoyed many meals there before, I thought of Bistro Hermitage as my first...choice for a special meal with family. What a huge disappointment and I was very embarrassed by the service. The restaurant was fairly crowed but not as busy as I expected. Our waiter has the personality of a wet rag and would disappear for lengths at a time. When the first bottle of champagne was still being consumed, he tried to open a second at which point I asked him to wait until the first bottle had been finished as we were enjoying a different champagne the second time and wanted it chilled until we were ready. This seemed to upset him and long after the first bottle was finished and no waiter in site, I had to ask another waiter to open it for us. She was confused and went in search of our waiter. She finally returned and opened the bottle as he did not return to do so. I never saw our waiter again. On three separate occasions I asked three different bus boys for butter, and they all nodded yes and went away, never to reappear with butter. I can only assume a language barrier prevented the request from being carried out. I never did get the butter. The busboys did however excel at clearing plates, not bothering to wait until the ladies were finished but simply scooping up plates as each guest finished. Not only is this bad service, it interrupts the conversation and forces the slower eaters to feel compelled to rush. The meal was delicious, if not up to usual standards. I can only assume the top staff were off preparing for the Thanksgiving Day to come. This was a huge disappointment as I have had excellent service there in the past and was excited to show off this little gem to friends and family. Not to mention when spending as much as we did you expect great service every time. Not sure if I will ever return or recommend the Bistro Hermitage after this experience which is a shame as I used to enjoy it very much and have sung its praises to all in the past.More

My wife and I took our younger son to dinner at the Bistro to celebrate a major and favorable job change. On entering we were immediately impressed with the warm ambience, the decorations, and the beautiful table settings designed to give the restaurant the character...of an upscale French country bistro. Considering how special the occasion was, we chose the five-course prix fixe menu with wine pairings. Each of the courses came from the regular menu and were the ones I would have chosen anyway. Each course, the scallop appetizer, the Chilean sea bass in a butter sauce, the seared duck foie gras, the filet mignon, and the three-part dessert sampler were delicious and memorable while the wine pairings were perfect and generous. The service, which was carried out three waiters, was elegantly choreographed making the meal seem really special. We normally do not spend this kind of money for a meal at a restaurant, but considering the occasion and the meal that was truly memorable, the splurge was worth it.More

Our brother-in-law booked a family dinner for seven on a Saturday night. The lovely dining room, evoking a French farmhouse, was buzzing with happy diners. The menu was balanced and the food was delicious, but the real star was the coordinated service, about the best...I have experienced. A very attentive team effort. We never felt rushed, but well looked after. After a harrowing 40 minute drive in heavy traffic to get there, i am happy to report it was worth it…More

This restaurant always has perfect French classics and specials and very attentive service. The French country decor is quaint and relaxing and makes you feel that you've left the suburbs. It is one of our go-to places for a birthday or special occasions. Duck and...seafood dishes are always great, as are the chocolate mousse and the very best creme brulee.More

I am going to try to be fair here. The venue is fun and beautiful. The service was superb and very friendly without being intrusive. My only problem was with the food BUT that could be my personal taste. My wife and I both chose...the grilled salmon, she with the lobster bisque starter and I the lamb sausage. Having been bit in the past by oversauced French meals we both asked for sauce on th side. They cheerfully obliged. My wife did not like the bisque. She found it underlobstered and somewhat bland. I tasted it and agreed. My sausage was excellently prepared and I enjoyed it immensely. The salmon however while fresh and nicely grilled was slathered in butter and not to my taste. I did not use the proffered sauce at all. When the waitress cleared the dishes from our first course she noticed the the bisque was aimost untouched and without any complaint from us she voluntarily removed it from our bill. One example of the excellent service. So, a mixed review. Since we live about 60 miles away and through some of the worst traffic this country has to offer, we probably will not be back. We regularly go as far or further but the food has to justify it.More

We've been here several times over the years and have always enjoyed the menu, meal, and service! It's hard to believe such a really nice restaurant is inside of PWC, as there's so much typical, national chain/fast food in the area, yet they are here...and they do incredibly well! Definitely the best restaurant in PWC! I opted for their sea bass on this most recent visit and it was excellent! Definitely will return in the future!More

This restaurant was bustling, and clearly well-loved by the community, with many people going for special occasions. The restaurant is packed with European decorations and odds and ends. I had the chef special grilled lamb sausages and the beef bourguignon, both of which were tasty....Tables were tightly packed, the restaurant was fairly noisy, and service was maybe a touch slow - but overall a good dinner.More

I wanted a very special dinner for my husband's surprise birthday. And it was delivered at Bistro l'Hermitage! It was our first time here and we weren’t disappointed. Nothing was off for a quiet Wednesday evening. The food and wine were delicious and presented so...well, and the ambiance and service were excellent. There were so many special (and typically French, i.e., escargots) appetizers I had trouble deciding, so I settled on the Tatin d'Aubergines au Fromage de Chevre (eggplant and goat cheese tart with arugula and pine nuts) for appetizer. Very tasty, but so large I brought some home with me. My husband said his Friture d'Huitres (fried oysters) were the best he's ever had! My main dish was Chilean sea bass with (substituted) spinach and portobello mushroom and capers butter sauce. Fish was so moist and the sauce (with so many mushrooms) was so good. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the Boeuf Bourguignon and again we had to bring some home. We had a lovely Cotes du Rhone bottle of wine to go with everything. For dessert, along with a birthday cream brulee, I had a delicious chocolate lava cake. Service was excellent but unobtrusive. It WAS an outstanding evening.More

Great place for a quality meal with good service in a charming setting. The restaurant sets the stage with its country chic decor outside and in, and lovely table settings with fresh flowers and oil candles. The first wine we tried was not to our...liking, so the sommelier came by to ask our preferences, then made a recommendation that was spot-on. The meal was delicious: salmon, New York strip steak, filet mignon, and a vegetarian mix with salad, sautéed mushrooms and couscous. Desserts were ice creams and the lemon merengue cup and coffee. An overall wonderful dining experience, we couldn't have asked for any better.More

We had not been to Bistro L’Hermitage in a few years but were reminded last evening what we had been missing. A group of seven of us enjoyed a delightful evening of dining in a beautiful, eclectically designed, French-inspired venue. The vibe was vibrant with...a mostly filled dining room supported by a large, well-trained, and attentive wait staff. From the cocktails, to the various courses, to the wine and after-dinner coffee, it was well-paced, delicious, and generously portioned. With the size of our group, we were able to enjoy numerous different course selections and they were all excellent. It was a bit noisy during the meal but that was largely due to a very busy night which was good to see. It was a great experience and I will be returning sooner rather than later.More

We enjoyed our dinner here last night, the only slight complaint I have, the tables were so close together, and we were packed like sardines there, overall, friendly staff and the food was to die for, I tried the pan-seared Chiliean Sea Bass and I...was expecting more, guess nothing beats the sea bass from Huey restaurant. Expect to pay big bucks, so this was a splurge for us.More
