This place is about a 40 min drive for us and not just around the corner, but it’s always worth the drive. It is not a fancy place, but the food, drinks and service are great! They have something for everyone and the music is...good. We have been there many times and each time we are surprised by the quality of the food and the friendliness. The food is made fresh with fresh ingredients. Last night we decided to have the full size filet. Not something you expect to have at a beer place. The steak arrived at a perfect temperature and it tested better than many high-end steakhouses around the DC area. Loved the fried pickles and spinach & artichoke dip. Great variety in beers and outdoor space is dog friendly. A lot of families there with kids. Staff was attentive and kind.

I keep trying to love this place. The food great. Especially the burgers. I love the beer. Beer choices are perfect. But the service is terrible. Wait and wait for server. Sooooo slooooow. So enjoy but don’t expect good service.

Berghan waited on us. Ordered a draft, General’s cauliflower and calamari. Don’t order the calamari, it wasn’t fresh. Everything else was good. Outdoor seating was nice.

This was our second visit. Sunday mid-morning on our way to a concert at the very-nearby B Chord Brewing Company we stopped in to enjoy their outdoor patio area. It's set up with umbrella-covered picnic tables (large enough for your group of 6 or maybe...even 8) and smaller 2-top and 4-top metal tables. We grabbed a picnic table and I chose a session IPA from their extensive beer list. They specialize in German food here and the selection of German specialty beers was impressive. The food took some time to arrive, since their kitchen was suddenly very busy with lots of tables occupied, but we weren't in a hurry and the vibe is very relaxed and comfortable. I had an omelet which was very good. I liked that the design-your-own omelet included "choose a cheese, choose a protein side, and choose any three fillings", with home fries and toast also included. My wife had 3 eggs over easy and requested "crispy" bacon. She's a tough one to please but said the bacon was done just right! We'll be back again next time we're in the neighborhood.More

simple menu. Calamari are exceptional! Artichoke spinach dip very, very good. Excellent service. It's a beer hall. High ceilings, no ambiance other than that of a German beer hall. It's about the experience and the beer.

We had the bratwurst sandwich and hamburger. The bratwurst was served with a very generous portion of potato salad and the burger came with fries. Stopped by on a Saturday. Very odd vibe at this place. Very small roped off area outside makes you feel like you are eating in a gravel parking lot! No one who works there is especially friendly. Advise - cook at home and sit in...your driveway for a “more better” experience.More

This place was phenomenal! Best authentic German food we have had since living in Germany. The wings were flavorful and spicy! The beer was a great selection as well. Servers were helpful and very kind! Overall we would come back.
