We stopped here and got flights of South African and dessert wines on a quiet weekend afternoon. The service and ambiance was pleasant and we enjoyed the wine. Certainly a worthwhile stop while hanging out in Occoquan. Would definitely come back.

Excellent wine selection, great bar, fantastic service. Bartender prepared a delicious blackberry mojito using house-made syrup - unique, cooling, and delicious. Would recommend.
Nice intimate location with great wine selections coupled with super food! Celebrated our son-in-laws promotion to Lt. Colonel.
This interior feels very generic overall. In our opinion they have high prices but did give a fairly generous pour. Salmon croquettes were overcooked on the exterior. Staff was fine but the owner was working on her computer in the seating area which is not...my favorite thing to witness.More
My wife and I frequent this restaurant at least every month. Their wine selections are absolutely the best, they even serve Pinot Noir and Riesling on tap! Their beer selection is good to! Their meals and appetizers are delicious. Can't brag enough about their French...fries, Yuka fries, Salmon Croquetts and Truffle Chicken Pot Pies!!!More
I've been here several times and typically the service/food is really good. This time, it was different. The servers are friendly, the location is great. The wine selection is very good and recommendations are solid. Had dinner here and the protein was overcooked. When I...brought this to the attention of both servers, there was no attempt to make it right. One response was "Oh, I'll let them know in the kitchen." The other was "Ah okay, I'm pretty sure I know where that came from." But neither attempted to apologize nor make it right. Nothing resembling "would you like me to take that back and have another piece brought out?" I ended up not finishing it because it was too dry to be edible. The spot was busy, the atmosphere good. But the lack of concern with respect to an entree that was below par, was surprising. I've experienced better and honestly, expected that as well. Not sure I'll be back.More
My wife and I have been living in Germany for three years now. As a result of COVID-19, traveling back to Northern Virginia has been harder. We finally made it back for the first time in two years. In doing so, we made it back...to Occoquan to visit our favorite locations. Bottle Stop is definitely one of them. We enjoyed two glasses of Truchard Chardonnay and an order of deviled eggs duo featuring eggs in a chipotle jalapeno and wasabi-soy based whip. My wife simply loves these little devils.More
We were happy with their wine selection from around the world and being able to pick a flight. Service were good, food was exceptional. We had made reservations and were glad we did - it got busy (we got there early for dinner). Recommend reservations.
Had lunch here after group hike. Party of six everyone was very impressed. On the pricey side but worth it.
Our initial visit to the Bottle Stop Wine Bar in Occoquan was nothing special and rather a disappointment. We made reservations for 3 on their website a day in advance of our visit; but the staff could find no record of the reservation. It took...over 25 minutes for our first drinks to arrive even though the place was not overly crowded at that time of day. The staff on duty seemed to be slow and overwhelmed. Can’t imagine how this place can make enough business to stay open. It it quite unlikely that we will visit again.More
The title of this review should say everything. I came home to Woodbridge, VA for a couple of months on business, pleasure, and to complete my move to Stuttgart, Germany. Since I was home, I knew I had to visit my favorite places in Occoquan,...Woodbridge, and the DC area. In doing so, I opted to dine here twice since I love this restaurant/wine bar that much. The food is so good...all the time. Furthermore, the service is also friendly always. I was pleased to see they were keeping COIVD-19 in mind so my wife and I could enjoy scrumptious dinners and enjoy some classic wines. We actually went one month apart on Sep 9 and again Oct 9. We love walking into Occoquan from Lake Ridge where we can imbibe and either walk or Lyft home. The first time in September, we started with some happy hour wines. My wife had the Quinta de Lixa Anjos and I opted for the Sean Minor 4 Bears Chardonnay. For dinner, we got a bottle of Fram Chardonnay. This is an outstanding wine! We spent three hours here relaxing and enjoying the beautiful fall weather. My wife loves there devilish duo of deviled eggs. For dinner, I ordered the lamb chops and my wife, the citrus crusted salmon. Of course, we split the dishes like we always do. In October, we returned again. However, as we had a dinner reservation for the Thai restaurant down the street, we opted for a bottle of Fram Chardonnay and one appetizer of salmon croquettes. A great way to start the evening. I am so happy to see this place do so well. Sadly, with the move to Germany, we had to cancel our membership in the wine club. I not only recommend dining here often, but join the club to experience new wines from across the globe. Unfortunately, the only photo I have is of that spectacular wine!More
Check your bill, use its wrong and not in your favor! The pours are usually inconsistence. Your table/neighbor at the bar will have different amounts in a pour. Few of the servers are great, Martha IS THE BEST. I TOLD SOME FRIENDS NOT TO GO
I love Bottlestop. We are wine club members so enjoy a free tasting most Wednesday nights. We often stay for the food special as well. Nina very patiently explains the wine selections she pours; it is clear a lot of thought goes into curating her...choices each week. The food choices are unique and varied and Emil keeps it interesting by changing up the menu and offering specials. We are always greeted with a smile by owner, Kim and the staff, whether we are there for a full meal or just a tasting. Bottle stop has become our go to night out.More
Lunch with a friend here was an interesting experience. Lovely gal who took care of us. Friendly and efficient. Issue today with grease drain and the back door was open most of the time while we were there. No heat on as of noon and...we had lunch with our coats on. I ordered a cup of tea that the water was just like out of the hot water tap. Had to ask for sugar and milk.....and a spoon. Lunch was a very good cheesy pizza with sweet peppers. Tasty but not hot. This is a terrific wine bar for those who like to wine taste and pair food with wines. The lunch menu appeared vast and my friend mentioned she'd been there before and the experience was much better. We all have off days so will try here again sometime. Owner and staff should always consider any one person visiting may be a trip advisor writer and be sure everything is the best possible. Open at noon daily and right on the main street. Outdoor seating available and I am positive this place is full when the weather is nice and the streets busy. Clean and neat and personable spot.More
This restaurant did not have a lot of food choices for lunch, but what they did have was good. Wine is the major draw here. If you have time to try different wines, try them out.
