Loved the savory and sweet crepe...loved the coffee and tea. Venue has sone indoor and outdoor seating. Nicely decorated and excellent service. It can get busy on a Saturday morning so go early.
Had to wait an hour for 3 items. Food was horrible. Cold and stale. All of the employees are high school girls and act like that as well. Not even entering the business and you can hear them gossiping from the outside. Saw employees touch...iPad, touch their feet, bring orders to customers, and go back to the coffee bar to resume making drinks and food with no gloves or hand washing. Hate to see such a nice town waste their potential.More
We stopped here on a very quiet afternoon in Occoquan and enjoyed some tea and coffee on the patio. The place is casual and comfy enough - service was fast and the patio was a nice place to rest.
My husband and I visited Grind N Crepe yesterday as we’d heard it was a great place for crepes and craft made coffees. We ordered two sweet crepes - one with blueberries, strawberries and bananas and the other with Nutella and bananas. They were both...absolutely delicious! They were light with a slight crisp to the exterior of the crepe and the fruit was super fresh. The place is small but funky cool. I wish the crepes weren’t served on paper plates with plastic utensils, but that’s a minor issue. I highly recommend Grind N Crepe!More
My husband was wanting a coffee so with me liking the Occoquan area so much -I found this coffee place for him to try. We walked in and were not greeted at all by the 2 employees working 4/8/2023 around 5 pm-they seemed cold/rude when...they did finally acknowledge us. After my husband ordered and paid, the female worker looked in the tip can to see if we left anything-nope, not with that kind of service. This was very disappointing to me because I love this area and we have had such good experiences in other places here. Sorry to say, we will not visit this coffee shop again.More
Great little place, a little hidden, but many really good places in Occoquan are. Great Coffee and although not a muffin fan, it was amazing! Only negative, it is very small! But Togo is always easy!
Very cute! We went for breakfast and we’ll definitely be back. Small laid back spot with indoor and outdoor seating. Great customer service
Came here a few times, and last time a while ago. All the times I've been here, we hadn't had any problems! The food is great, and the place itself looks nice :) Would definitely come again!
We were looking for something new for breakfast and decided to try the Grind N Crepe. We ordered a number of items over two visits. Both times we called our orders in ahead for pickup and found them hot and ready when we arrived. The...restaurant itself is very attractive and has a good amount of outdoor seating. We found the staff friendly, but often juggling a lot at once; be patient and kind and the wait will be worth it. Crepes are a standout menu item here. They are a bit on the expensive side, but you get high quality for what you pay. These are not overstuffed crepes but there is enough filling to get the flavor balanced with the crepe itself. We enjoyed the Aunt Jackie – fruit with a light raspberry drizzle. The crepe was a sweet and light breakfast. We also had a Lemon Drop crepe which is a great value, seasoned with simple lemon juice and sugar for half the price of other crepes. (It's the same size, just flavored with juice but no filling.) We also tried the Lil’ Lori veggie crepe which was another tasty option. The crepe had a light hummus spread and nicely cooked veggies that were the best part of a tasty crepe package. Sandwiches are also solid if you’re not in the mood for crepes. We tried the Uncle Gene slider, a basic sausage, egg & cheese on bread, a few different times. The type of bread used seems to vary by the day but regardless, this slider is a great value, cheap and far bigger than you would expect a slider to be. The Uncle Johnny Panini was pretty good but comparatively expensive. The bourbon beef on it was a bit drier than expected, though the onions on it were still quite flavorful. Smoothies are outstanding. The wild berry is our favorite. It tastes like a frozen boysenberry yogurt. We also had green apple and mango strawberry and we would happily have both flavors again. You can craft your own from a menu of options, but the recommended selections are amazing. We cannot say enough nice things about these delicious smoothies! Coffee is good but not remarkable. Mrs. Cuddles preferred her cappuccino to her latte but both were reasonable. They offer lots of milk options so you can get your coffee just the way you like. This is a great breakfast option in Occoquan. Give it a try and whatever you choose, definitely top your meal off with a smoothie!More
Grind N Crepe’s level of dysfunction reached comical levels. During our 45 minute wait for two paninis, we witnessed at least 12 people request refunds. Of the five employees present, only the young man creating crepes demonstrated any competency despite being hounded by the stressed...out owner. The remaining employees were everywhere and getting nowhere while the ineffectual owner made pitiful excuses to her future former patrons. When our paninis finally arrived, they were the size of an English muffin and more decorated with contents rather than filled. Meanwhile the manager/owner pulls her only competent crepe chef off line to help her refund money, because as she states, “I don’t know how to do it.” You need to learn.More
We were here after checking out of our AirBnB down the street. The coffee and the crepes were delicious and served with a smile (behind a mask). I’ve only had breakfast here - it’s worth the stop if you’re in town.
Looking for a Cafe in Occoquan which is not overcroweded and offside the main road Grind N Crepe might be the right spot. Sure, it's not that cozy like a Secret Garden but they are offering a nice menu mainly with crepe and delicious coffee...with a huge variety of milks and all for a suitable price not overprized like the cafes on the main road.More
We ate her for brunch while working and everything was amazing! Would highly recommend the crepes with berries. The staff was attentive and friendly. We will definitely come back.
Early Sunday morning, woke up with a craving for crepes since we visited Paris twice while stationed in Germany. Found a place in Occuquan near me called "Grind & Crepes" that had some good and bad reviews. Since we are in a pandemic, we placed...our order over the phone for pickup. Upon picking up my order, all customers are not allowed in the restaurant only met outside to pay and receive your order. When paying for my meal, the attendant asked if I wanted to leave a tip. I told her no because I always leave "Cash" tips to restaurants because this means it does not get taxed. While waiting for the attendant to pay for my order, a co-worker in the background commented with a statement, "They said no tip, what do they think we work hard for nothing." Unaware that my intentions were to leave cash and I could hear what she said. Unfortunately, this establishment did not receive a tip from me. I have worked in customer service and food service for over 20 years and yes it is one of the most underpaid jobs today and I know it can be frustrating. Back to the quality and taste of my order, the fruit (strawberries) were from frozen not fresh and the bananas were too ripe. I don't know if this visit was from too much stress on the employees during this stressful period or not having a good day. If you ever get to visit Paris, please try their crepes so you will know what they're supposed to taste like.More
