We tried to place an order online. When selecting the pick-up time for the food it said it was an invalid pick-up time and wouldn't place the order. We placed the order over the phone no problem when we called about it & the food...was ready when got there for pick-up. We were happy with the food and would likely order again. The sauce they give you with the edamame is too spicy, but other than that I was pleased to be able to order non-spicy food.More
Our family ordered the vegetarian spring rolls, crispy duck with basil Thai spicy, Jungle Curry 3 peppers, and Ginger Stir Fry Tofu. All the dishes were very good and recommended.
Everything here is excellent but it is always the same. We ate here often but the endless repetitive nature of the menu makes it seem like a chain after a while> there is admirable consistency in the dished I often wish some variety called you...back before burn out sets in.More
We met our cousins for a family dinner. We all were pleased with our meals. The food was fresh and well prepared. We will go again
Kob Kun, located in a strip mall on the main drag through Oakton VA, is a great stop for good Thai food. The dishes are flavorful, and the portions just the right amount (enough to fill you but not too large). The waiting staff is...friendly and attentive.More
We enjoyed a fine late lunch at this lovely Thai restaurant in a strip mall in suburban Oakton, VA. Your reviewer ordered and was delighted with Pad See Ew with Tofu. Our guest was pleased with chicken Lad Na. Service was well-paced and the dishes...arrived nice and hot.More
Let's face it -- Thai restaurants are becoming like Starbucks. They are everywhere. So you need to offer me something other than location to keep me coming. So why do I keep coming? The food is excellent. I really like that they give you a...free edamame with your meal or take-out. Wide selection. Portions more than enough. So why don't I come more and why only 3 stars? Prices. $15 for an entrée is a bit high when you can get the same thing two blocks away for $10 or $12. The people are very nice. Atmosphere pleasant.More
Being in the area for business I could see a lot of people eating at Kob Kun every day for lunch and dinner. Stopped in for dinner and you can quickly why this is such a popular local place. The food was tasty and served...in generous quantities so you can share a few dishes between a family.More
I work with a woman from Thailand who's come to this restaurant with me before. She's very picky and says they have delicious food. That it's like what she eats in Thailand. I love coming to Kob Kun. The service is fabulous and the food...is even better!More
Really good Thai food at a very reasonable price. They also have a nice bar to serve both domestic and Thai beers. Also wine is available . My favorites are ginger chicken or chicken with eggplant. My son really prefers the more traditional curry dishes.Service...is very good and on weekends , it can get busy , so make a reservation.More
We return here on a regular basis because the food is so delicious. Crispy Fish is a our absolute favorite. Most everything we’ve tried is good. Their Pad Thai and Satay and Drunken Noodles and other standards are well prepared. Service is good.
we enjoyed our visit to Kob Kun and would go back for certain. We enjoyed the corn cakes, Kanom Jeeb pockets, chicken, pad thai with shrimp, curry chicken, crispy chicken with basil and the taro custard for dessert, very good!
I have been to Thailand several times but the curry (with shrimp) I had here is up there among the best I've ever had. Portions quite big (at least for me, a European).
Good Thai food served with a smile every time. Our first choice for Asian food. Try the "Crying Tiger" appetizer-- You won't regret it.
