It's fun to go with friends and hang out at "the beach." The food offerings are tasty. The drinks are fine!

A German friend recommended this place and suggested I try the Doner Box. She tried to describe it but I could not picture it. When I received my meal, it was a large cup of fries, some meat, lots of sauce and I paid extra...for the feta which I didn't notice in my box. it was okay and not sure I would order it again. My husband ordered a currywurst and that was good. He got it with fries. The kids ordered a schnitzel and fries and a schnitizel sandwich. The sandwich did not go down well, but the schnitzel and fries were good. Seating is on long benches and the table is awfully narrow. Not what we are used to but I can imagine that's how one would sit at an OctoberFest. I'm not sure how the seating works. When you walk in, nobody is there to greet you so you linger around and wait to see what happens. There's an "order here" sign up front, but the server there was walking around taking orders at tables, so it's a bit confusing. Not a bad experience and it would be worth another visit in the future sometime.More

So thankfully someone informed us that Doener had moved to a new location and I checked the website before we visited. After a leisurely morning and prior to outlet shopping, my parents and I needed food and we are a fan of German food and...Doeners. They were not too busy when we arrived and we quickly ordered and found a seat inside. Before we knew it, our food had arrived. My mom got the weinerschnitzel and pommes and my dad and I both got the doener box. My mom liked the schnitzel, but the spice on the fries was not her cup of tea. My dad and I both really liked the doener box, but it was hard to eat in the giant cup and we paid $2 extra each for feta and you don't get that much. But all in all, it was a good meal and very filling. Plus my dad was able to get some Kristelweissebier which made him super happy.More

Have been to Frederick so thought to try out Leesburg on way home from airport. Got a gyro, two bratwursts, ice tea, and 2 beers. not so much with the food a lot of fries, and several things asked for were out of, checked the...bank next morning and the cost was over $93.00 !What!! We were hoping for doeners like those in Germany. It seems to be fairly popular, but we didn't like it, and for what we got, it was too pricey. The meat was salty and limited. The sauce should be served on the side for those...who don't want as much as they give. There was a mix-up in our order which the cashier should have caught.More

German restaurants are so hard to find and this one is a gem. The staff is friendly and the food is as authentic and delicious as you will find anywhere this side of Bavaria. It is a little pricey but it’s so worth it. The...pretzels are the best I’ve had outside Germany.More

Finally found a place that makes an authentic Doner in the USA! The pommes, beer and dog-friendly atmosphere was great. We'll be back!

This is a great place for a taste of real German street food. The name says it all, they specialize in the Turkish style Doener kabob that most Americans know as Greek gyro. Yes, it is the same style meat with different names because Greeks...and Turks hate each other. The meat is well seasoned and you can get it in the classic peta bread or, my favorite, the Doener box with the meat over fries with sour cream sauce and paprika. They have brats that are good but as the name suggests Doener is the focus. But wait, there’s more! The real star here is beer. That have about 20+ German beers on tap and bottle, many you cant get any where else. They also have a selection of wines. Sit outside in the Biergarten and relax on a nice day and enjoy a beer, you will be glad you did.More

I don't understand why people in US call this delicacy gyro? The whole Europe including England knows it as Doner. Kudos to Doner Bistro bringing this old Turkish recipe to US. Doner has become almost a national food in Germany since Turks introduced in the...1960s. I loved the style doner served with pommes frites in a cup. Less calories comparing to bread sandwich. The kitchen is the highlight of this place since it's outside the restaurant in a hut. Bistro has a nice outdoor deck that can accommodate large groups. We loved the beer choices as one can find very exceptional German brews on tab. We intend to visit Doner Bistro often. I wish they open other branches close to the beltway.More

i was in the area for work and asked a local where to go and she recommended Doeners and to get the chicken doener. One of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The roll was awesome, the chicken somewhat shredded into bite-size pieces and the...sauce was absolutely delicious. I wish we had this back where I live!More

Lived in Germany for many years, and was pleasantly surprised to find this gem of european fast food cuisine in the middle Leesburg. Great food and great selection of German beer.

I love German food, lived there over 8 years, food not great, need a better selection, if you are a big beer drinker this is your place to get drunk.
