We were very excited to try Blue Wing Frog. The menu sounded interesting and we liked the idea of local food and sustainability. The server was very friendly and told us all about the many homemade sauces, breads and desserts they had. We were excited...More
We traveled 90 miles to meet family that also traveled 90 miles in the opposite direction to meet halfway for a lunch. The atmosphere in this converted storefront was superb, the cook came out to the table to explain his specialty soup of the day...More
We loved our lunches at Blue Wing Frog! The veggies and fruit were very fresh. The homemade peanut butter and oatmeal fruit bread were delicious. The portions were generous. We can't wait to return in a warmer season for wildflower honey lemonade!
And that is I don't live close enough to frequent it as much as I would!!! Food, service, atmosphere...all a 5 star!!! And the Bloody Mary alone was worth the drive! Such a great feeling knowing these little hidden gems exist..
Just stopped here on a lark (great google reviews) and it lived up to its excellent reviews! Delicious whole food! The falafel bites and tzasiki were outstanding as was the West Indian pork and lentil soups. Will go out of our way to stop here....More
My family swung by here for a late lunch after some hiking in Shenandoah. It was a delight from start to finish. The staff is really friendly and welcoming, the food was delicious, and everything is made from scratch on the premises (even the ketchup!)....More

Yes and no! You normally order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. However, we were there for the first time and the owner, a wonderfully chatty, interesting, and friendly man took us to a table, gave us the history of the place, explained menu items, made recommendations and food was brought to our table. All the food looked good and ours was exceptional. The cookies, deserts, and everything else are made right there.
Very informal yet a lot of class.
