Good Place. Great Specials

Good boneless wings for two bits. Not the greatest sauce, but good service. The items on special are really a greta value. The regular items like the fajitas are plenty pricey.

When we choose a franchise or a national chain, we know the food is likely to be pretty much what we find at all of the other locations. Applebee's has closed most of the restaurants in Utah, so when we find one, we like to try it. They offer a good selection of steaks. This location offered good service. Yeah, I saw a bad review, filled with typos, but we didn't have that experience. Our server showed up with a smile and a friendly greeting. That set the tone for our meal. We ordered the two steaks for $20. Both were cooked just as we ordered. In fact, everything was as we ordered and we enjoyed our meals. We were checked on multiple times and when it came time to pay, we used the tabletop screen, left a generous tip, got our receipt, and headed out. It wasn't an extraordinary experience, but it was good, very good. If we have the opportunity to stop there again, we'll do it.

#1 Choice for Veterans Day

This is where I always go on Veterans Day. Not only do they bend over backwards to welcome you "How may I honor you today?" but their six options for free meals cover all the bases from salad to steak. The Oriental Chicken Salad is scrumptious, and one of their best sellers, and is on that special menu. You even get a discount card for your next visit. For veterans, Applebees personifies respect.

Beware Of The Steak Special!!

Yes, when you order steak make sure they know how to cook a good steak. They had a steak special and we ordered it. 2 for $20. Sirloin steak. They still don't know how to cook a real good steak. My husband & I both I We decided try the 2 for 20 steak. I ordered mine medium. Husband ordered the steal medium. Mine was over medium and very dry. They took it back and cooked again. Still dry and no taste. The rest of the meal was okay not very exciting. They did take the cost steak off our bill. Gave us small dishes of ice cream to go. That's about it. I cannot not say anything more except our server was very understanding.

Worse service ever

A grouo if us (10), went to Applebees on Riverdale rd. When we get there at 11:15am,tbey sat us. There were very few others in the restaurant and no one in the section we were seated in. It took 20 minutes for them to come greet us and ask what we would like to drink. Another 25 minutes before they took our orders, and 30 to bring our orders. All the while they were seating others, whom were getting tbeir meals, but we weren't. Bad enough, but when they brougbt our bills, there were 6 of us that were iver billed. (Billed for extra chicken twice). Then we had to wait an additional 15 minutes for the waiter to collect our payment. One lady had to wait a total of 40 minuted just to get her bill, and during all this time, there were multiple groups being seated, getting their meals and bills and paying and leaving. We were given tbe reason for our delay,was the waiter new. They should have had someone helping him, and also,he was serving others around us, while we waited. We are never going back. Poor poor service.

Very Nice Place For Lunch

A birthday gift card to Applebees is what brought us here. We must have chosen the best time to go. (2 pm) We were quickly seated, waited on, and our food was served quick. Our waitress was attentive. We loved our burgers and salad. A gift card may have brought us here, but the great food and service will bring us back.

The food was very good. I had the bourbon chicken. Very delicious. Service was fast and friendly but it took awhile for our food to get to us.

Waited for service

We waited about 15 minutes and no one had come to serve us. A server walked past us & my wife asked him if he knew who our server was. He said he would set us up with drinks & find our server. Another guy came to our table & said he didn't know where our server was, but he would take care of us. To make up for the wait he brought us a free serving of nachos to make up for their error. The serving of nachos was very large. I normally order the sirloin steak, which is a step up from a hamburger, since it is a low cut of meat. I ordered the 6 ounce. It was the best sirloin that I have had there. It was very tender. The wait is why I only gave it 4 stars. We will be returning. I was pleased that they went out of their way to correct the error of our server not showing up to began with. Les Talbot

The food was okay, but the service was terrible. When we were ordered drinks, they took my order for a beer, then the manager came out like five minutes later to check all our IDS again. They said that's there policy. My license had expired, so they wouldn't sale me a beer. Lame. Whatever it's Utah, but then it took over an hour after we ordered to get our food. Our chips with salsa were stale. We had asked the server if we could upgrade the kids steak to 6oz instead of 4oz and they said that it would be fine. When the bill came they charged us for an adult meal, so instead of $5.99 it was like $12.99. If you want to spend a lot of time getting ripped off and lectured about utah law come here, otherwise stay away.

Lots of Great Choices and an overall great eat

Applebee's has done a really good job at standing out with their premium menu. If you didn't know it, you would never guess they are a chain restaurant. Their food is always exceptionally good and always cooked to perfection. The staff at this Applebees is also fantastic. My wife and I went here the other night and the waiter was always right there to get our drinks or clear something off the table but never overbearing. It was a great night with great food and great service. They also have a 2 for $20 and a 2 for $25 menu that has some great options and definitely won't disappoint if you are dining a budget.
