Cute brew pub with great ambiance . The staff was friendly but incompetent , the food was inexpensive but very average and greasy . I ordered a hamburger which was essentially tasteless , Burger King is better. The beer was very good and my wife had a salad that was good as well.

Ogden isn't especially known for its great dining but we lucked out at Rooster's for a late lunch this week. I had a great in-house craft dark ale brew and jambalaya and my husband had a delicious burger with the best fries we've had in a long time. We live in another town but will be back again soon.

When I was recently here they had a good selection of beers to try. You do have to buy food at this location to be able to drink, so keep that in mind. They had about 6 beers on tap that we could do a sampling of and probably another 6 beers in cans you could order. Their pink lemonade IPA really was what blew me away. I thought I was going to dislike this from the start and it ended up being my favorite of all their beers I tried. I would say this place can be pretty popular so depending when you go you may have a wait.

We were looking for a place to eat and chat on a Sunday and stopped in at Roosters on 25th Street in Ogden. The events that followed are the reasons why we will not go back. We were seated immediately. It was 10 minutes before the waitress showed up. There were not very many customers in the place either, so what's the excuse? I got a pilsner, which was delicious, but it took 5 more minutes to show up. My date's drink did not show up for another 10 minutes and it wasn't what she ordered. My beer was gone 5 minutes later and it was another 9 minutes before the waitress showed up again. We were working on an appetizer, the spinach artichoke crab dip. It was also very good. The entre' showed up a few minutes later. We got the Tuscan Medallions. Nothing to write home about on these. We ordered it rare and it came medium rare, the gravy was pretty much the same sauce that came on on an old TV dinner Salisbury steak meal, the mashed potatoes were starchy and the vegetables were bland. The waitress never came back to see if the entre' was ok. She finally shows back up 10 minutes later and we ordered desert. It showed up and was not what we ordered. We ate it anyway and the cake was dry. Overall, this was a bad experience. We will not be going back.

I've always heard good things about Roosters but my first time visiting will be my last. The service was awful, they didn't have anything on tap, they "ran out" seriously you ran out of your own brew? They served their beers in cans and they were WARM! Our waiter, Beau, messed up all of our checks, he charged us twice for somethings, didn't charge us for some things and had everything a mess. He was obviously trying to get out of there at 3pm on a Friday and couldn't have cared less about the service. Won't be back.

Been to Roosters many times. I really want to like it, but usually end up disappointed. On first August visit I had a piece of shrimp that was very undercooked (try not to gag/vomit at a family meal out!). Visited again this month, tried fish and chips again and it’s always so greasy. One last visit I tried Santa Fe Chicken salad and was underwhelmed. Description on menu is nothing like what actually arrives. Inquired twice to make sure I received the correct item. Haven’t gone back, don’t desire to. So disappointing for out of town family. (Burned burger to balance out the undercooked shrimp?)

I had chicken for lunch so I went with the bacon burger. Ordered medium came out well done. Not a great choice. The rest of the crowd was happy with what they all had. I think because of the size of the order that the cook just didn't pay attention the time on the grill for the burger.

Wow, buzzing from WY to SLC we needed to have a quick lunch before we boarded our flight...SOOOO glad we stumbled upon Roosters. YUM YUM! My husband had a chicken plate, plenty of wonderful food and fixins and so well prepared and delicious. I had a salad with pecans, pears and gorgonzola and asked them to add Salmon on top...AMAZING doesn't describe it! My husband had their Pilsner and it was incredibly delicious! I had a sip and could have downed a couple of those delights but I needed to drive. Setting and ambience terrific. We walked into another local venue and I walked right out because NO ambience and I'm SUPER glad I left! I'm amazed that people weren't lined out the door. Patio setting and nice indoors options as well, exceptional food and the service was equally outstanding! I wish I could get back there more often!!!!

Went here for the food. The mushroom soup was amazing! Wish I lived closer. We tried the onion loops appetizer. The batter was very light and crispy - so tasty! I would also give a thumbs up for the house root beer.

Stopped here for a dinner after a long drive. The brewery offers some really unique brews on sight. We had the Blood Orange IPA and the chocolate stout. For food we had the chips, the shrimp tacos and the enchilada. All were very delicious. The seating allows for sitting far apart, the waitress wears a mask and you can sit outside. Only negative was that the waitress seemed very unhappy to be there. Never asked us how our food was or offered to refill my Iced Tea.

Matt was our server and he was attentive and gave us great recommendations. Loved the onion rings—they’re the kind with a chewy batter. The enchiladas were tasty and filling. The Blood Orange IPA was good but no orange taste compared to others I’ve had. We found shaded street parking for our monster RV(someone had asked about RV parking). I think it was Grant St. Just watch out for the low hanging maple branches.

Traveling to Ogden w friend that needed to visit for business....I was solo to galavant the city. Being from Alabama I was surprised to be asked to produce my ID to be scanned on arrival and sitting at the bar. I was told during my lunch while talking to staff and patrons it was so due to being licensed as a restaurant vs a bar. Bartender, well all staff I encountered were kind and friendly. I'm sad I don't remember the girls name but she was sweet and happy to share the recipe for the boozy root beer, it was DELICIOUS!! I had a couple apps.. wings and brussel sprouts, both were good... But highlight for me was def the root beer!

The food was tough. The sandwich bread was so tough my husband only ate the sandwich contents. I had the tacos, the corn tortilla and steak was very tough. The black beans were too firm for me, needed more cooking time. My husband loves French Fries but didn’t seem to eat very many. We ate outside, besides the tough life of 2 homeless people fighting over the bench it was a beautiful evening.

I ordered taco plate – 2 shrimp tacos, 1 fish taco, rice and beans. Shrimp tacos were excellent. The fish taco, rice and beans were blah, but the green salsa livened them up. Wish they came with chips. A little over-priced in my opinion.
Restaurant is located on historic 25th Street. Nice historic atmosphere inside. A group of us walked there after visiting Ogden Union Station. We sat upstairs because of 7 in our group. Only problem was a bunch of seniors trying to climb the stairs! Good service and nice atmosphere upstairs, too. If I come again, I'll order all shrimp tacos.

The bartender Keith S. #1134 FOLLOWED me across the airport TWICE to confront me about not tipping on a to-go coffee. I did not even sit down. He is not entitled to a tip on crap service and in what world is it ok to follow customers across the terminal to confront them? He made sure I know he only earns $2.15 an hour and this is somehow my problem.
