This restaurant is one of those Indian restaurants that serves the best Indian food. Medium level of spice was decently spiced and spicy level was really spicy. Appetizers were sizzling on the pan when served and that set a very positive vibe for main courses to follow. Vegetable Biryani was correctly spiced and the spicy vegetable coconut curry was delicious. Lassi was a little more on the icy side and would have loved to have it on the creamier side. Quantities of foods served were extremely generous. Ambience was decent and service was very courteous & efficient, considering that my family of 4 visited on a Saturday evening for dinner. Pricing was reasonable for the quality and quantity of foods served. Certainly would very highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking best Indian food in the Salt Lake City area.

What a pleasant experience and fantastic food! Everyone referred to me by my name, were courteous, and I am going to stay near this restaurant on my visits to the area…just so I can eat here.
I had butter chicken and veggie samosas….dynamite.

I eat a fair amount of Indian food all over the US and "Taste of India" was a very pleasant surprise. I wasn't expecting food as good as this in Layton. The samosas were very good, I particularly recommend the vegetarian and lamb (keema) ones. The basket of naan's was really good to share and the different naan's were all good. There is an excellent selection of main courses; next time I'm in Layton I'll go back and try something different.
The staff were very attentive without being obtrusive; they were happy enough to let us sit at the table as we were talking and didn't try to hurry us out.

I was looking for a place that was serving Vegan friendly items and this place happened to be across the street from my hotel. The "host" was very friendly and greeted me and then seated me. Turns out she was also my server. The food was pretty good. It was a little greasy but overall not bad. It was a little less flavorful than what I would prefer but it was just vegetables in sauce. It was a cozy little place and I'm sure if you like Indian food you would enjoy this place.

I love Indian Food and the Taste of India is the go to for me and my family. They nail it every time. It’s a small intimate setting but 10x better than the other option a block away. I strongly recommend this place!

Love this restaurant. We’ve never had a bad meal. So yummy. They always remember us when we go there and my kids always want to go when they come home from college. A must visit.

Have dined here more than 15 times. The food I so flavorful and consistently prepared with little waiting. Service very attentive. We love this place. Best Indian food we have tried in Utah.

Best sweet naan ever! They are so friendly and always remember what I love the most! They even remember my birthday! Order extra for another meal, especially the sweet naan! It’s great for breakfast!

Recently stopped in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The lunch special is a large platter with your choice of two main dishes (lunch portion) and tandoor chicken, rice, salad and dessert.

When we arrived at the restaurant at 8:30pm (they close at 10pm), the chairs were already standing on the tables for cleaning the room. While we ate they swept the restaurant and washed the floor with chlorine cleaner and vacuumed. The strong chlorine smell in the nose while having our dinner was aweful. We did not feel welcome at all.
