Wife and I had our first date in a while and had made plans to have dinner at Texas. We always saw the restaurant as we drove past it on the interstate yet never made it a point to eat there until this day. When you arrive, there is parking in the front yet it's located by a strip mall so parking may be an issue. The moment you enter its Showtime. Our hostess was cheerful and welcoming. When I say cheerful I mean it was heart warming. The second you walk in you know this is a mommy and daddy place with the beautiful bar and the surrounding decorations. Our server provided us with a history of the place and let us know the owner and his family were fully engaged with the daily running of the establishment. The owners daughter came to our table to welcome us. Looking to wash my hands, the restrooms are located by the kitchen and like the main building, they were spotless and well decorated. We started our meal with calamari which was served in a bowl. It was slightly breaded with a sweet and spicy sauce. I had the rib eye and wife the pecan chicken. Please note both meals come with 2 sides unlike other similar steakhouse that you need to pay for the sides. Since a rib eye was on the way, I needed asparagus so a side was ordered. While we waited for our meal our glasses were filled with water and we waited for the magician to come to our table but I guess next time. The food arrived with complimentary bread. Wife said the meal was ok yet chicken was dry. The steak was 100 perfectly cooked at Medium temperature. The asparagus were flavored in butter and spice. We ended our meal with bread pudding which was the perfect period at the end of the sentence. Look this was an A+ experience yet you pay for this kind of dinner. For two people $145 plus tip so yes i highly recommend it yet be aware of cost and menu is not kid friendly. All things are Big in Texas and this meal was BIG!

Our friends selected Texas for our annual New Year's Eve dinner. We knew the menu was going to be limited, but it included several choices of steak, chicken and fish. I enjoyed the generous cut of salmon, and the rest of the table raved about their filet and Delmonico steaks. Every entrée was served with whipped potatoes, roasted vegetables and burnt corn. Service was surprisingly attentive despite how busy it was. At times, it was too noisy to easily carry on a conversation at the table, but all in all we enjoyed the food and festive, party atmosphere.

This is a good place, something for everyone. The menu is extremely varied, both selections and prices. The number of service people is almost over-the-top. Prices vary from $12.95 for a nice burger plate to about $50 for a large filet. Several fish dishes also, in the rage of $23 to $45. The wine list goes from about $35 to over $100, glasses from $10 to $16 mostly, so you can find something to suit your budget. Dale Wamstad is the consummate host, what a great guy. He is everywhere greeting people, checking on his clients, and saying goodbye. This is a fun place. You can get by fairly cheap or spend a bunch. But it is all good! And pretty casual, so no worry about having to dress up much.

Steak/seafood per waitress only seasoned with salt pepper & butter. $56 for Delmonico/ribeye was just ok along with $36 salmon with included veggies & mashed potatoes. Fruit tray @$16 was mediocre ..... crab cakes were tasty but very small &4 at $14. Service was best aspect of experience. Would definitely go to 3 Forks to spend $225/ couple

I can't rave enough about this restaurant. The service and experience is one of the best you will have! Very welcoming staff with great ambiance. The menu has a variety of items at a variety of price points. Wonderful quality steak without the stuffiness of a steak house. You will receive high end steak, but not the attitude! The chocolate cake is one of the best cakes I have ever had! A saxophonist was playing live music that added to this great evening out.

It was NYE so the menu was specific...which is normal for similar restaurants. The salad came with a dressing I didn't prefer and the waitress scored and had it made with what I liked. I ordered the New York Strip and it was melt in your mouth with a great crust that made it amazing! Husband had the Delmonico and he enjoyed it as well. We had the chocolate ganache and praline cake for dessert. Staff was kind. My only complaint is where we were seated. The walk way led towards a large room for a large party. So staff and guests were constantly whooshing past my meal, drinks and level with my head. I was constantly covering food because guests were coughing etc.. not super romantic and relaxing. I would go back for the steak and ask to be seated elsewhere next time 😉

Just don't go here. Period. I visited Texas Steakhouse with some friends for pre celebratory birthday dinners a week ago. I've been to Texas Steakhouse twice now and both visits were fails. The 1st visit was years ago for a company luncheon and the experience was below par ("nice" steak lunch was served cold and had no flavor). I chalked this up to catering mishap. My 2nd visit was last Saturday evening. We had reservations @ 8 and were seated around 8:15 (not a big deal). On our way upstairs to the table we observed hostesses dressed like borderline strippers, a very casual dining area, a magician and lots of stressed and beat down waitstaff. We sat at our table for 15 minutes (at least) unattended, unaddressed. Our waitress who did finally greet us was very casual, like tiny town Mable's diner, kind of casual - not what you would expect from a decent steakhouse. Our waitress was very nice, but clearly she was overwhelmed and not at all accustomed to finer dining experiences. Long story short, my son did not get his drink until after the appetizers were served, table orders were incorrect, dinner delivery was at least 30-45 minutes after order placed, cream was curdled for the dessert coffee, which was delivered AFTER dessert. I should clarify the food was better the 2nd time, but the poor service experience negated this. The meal cost for my 12 year old and me (1 appetizer, 2 steak entrees and 1 soda) was $150, at a place a step above a Chili's. I will not be back. Please save your money and go somewhere nice!

We went for our friends anniversary dinner. The restaurant was very loud when we walked in at 6:15 and never quieted down. The tables are very close together and the wait staff had to wind their way through the tables to provide service. The food was good although I wouldn't say it was special. Our friends ordered the meal for two and the presentation was awkward. The steak, crab cake and 2 vegetables were on one plate, the other two vegetables were on the second plate. They had to request a third plate so they could share. I think the restaurant can do a better job presenting the meals for two.

For being a relatively new reastaurant, Texas has a classy yet comfortable atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and they served an outstanding meal. Prices are on the higher side of mid range but the food is second to none. The ribeye was very well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The whisky bread pudding is also worth checking out. YUM!

Went to Texas to celebrate our son’s birthday. This makes several times we’ve had dinner there. As usual the food and service were excellent. We’ve not had a bad experience there. Our son got dessert topped with a sparkler, Happy Birthday sung by the staff, and photos taken by our server. At one point the musician who plays throughout the evening played the Star Spangled Banner. Slowly, people began to stand and face the large American flag that hangs prominently on one wall. By the end of the song, many people were singing and cheered at the end. Kudos to owner Dale Wamstad for doing this. I’m very sure this won’t be our last visit to Texas.

The food and service exceeded our expectations. Probably the best ribeye I have ever eaten. With all the chain steakhouses to choose from, you need to skip to the head of the class and eat at Texas. It was my son's birthday and the owner prepared this homemade chocolate pudding that was like liquid gold. He said it was his family's recipe that had been passed down 3 generations. He stopped by the table again and I offered him $500.00 for the recipe and he said with a smile "Add 3 more zeros to it and I would ask my wife." If I thought AMEX would approve the charge, I would have done it!

Flew in from STL to visit with the outlaws and was really looking for a true Texas steak experience. Saw this in our research and man, what an enjoyable experience. Beyond knowledgeable waiter, the owner stopped by and was so pleasant, reminded us of our grampa who was the life of the party, his niece as GM was also so warm and welcoming...and the food! Seared to perfection outside, hot to specification inside, the service was 5 star in a 3-4 star cost range. All in all we would highly recommend this for any and all occasions, casual to fancy. They even surprised us with a fantastic magician table side, and an amazing birthday dessert tho we only mentioned this in passing . Could you really ask for anything more?? Btw, masks required until seated then the full montey is acceptible.

The atmosphere was great, the service (Dwight and Deanne) were spectacular and the food is so good it got a non steak eater to wanting more. I asked the waiter to pair my meal with a wine and he chose a cab for me. Such a excellent choice!! I’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great steakhouse! We were celebrating a friends birthday and they made sure she felt extremely loved and important. Not to mention that the dessert, chocolate cake, just melted in your mouth.

We were in the area attending an educational seminar for a few days and heard rave reviews about this restaurant as well as it’s sister restaurant Rooster Town Wafflery. I’m sorry we waited to the last night to eat there…..because it was FANTASTIC! Just a very different experience when you enter all around. Why you say? Because the hospitality was amazing and second to none…..and the food was just as delicious! I don’t easily (or often) get wowed by a restaurant but this place is a well oiled machine that definitely takes the time to hire great people and I would so far as to say trains them to go over the top. Every bite from each course melted in our mouth and they made sure our drinks were never empty. A+ for food, atmosphere, staff and just class in general. My only regret was not going there on the very first night. The following morning's breakfast at Rooster Town Wafflery (next door) was same experience……and another class act! Enjoy!!

Casual fine dining at its best. We were staying at a hotel nearby and our front desk clerk recommended this restaurant. We always like to eat where the locals prefer, and we were not disappointed! The customer service was as good as the food, which was awesome! We asked for a dessert menu, and our waitress brought out a dessert tray! I ordered the chocolate cake and my friend ordered something similar to a bread pudding. Both were delectable! This is not a chain restaurant: this is locally owned, and the folks take pride in their food and their service.
