Really Good Food

My friends and I heard nothing but good reviews about this restaurant. We give it two thumbs up for food and service. My pecan encrusted cod with broccoli and sweet potatoes was delicious. The cod was flaky and seasoned perfectly. Two friends had flounder dishes that they said were very delicious. One friend had a chicken breast dish with mashed potatoes. She liked it very much. When arrived we were served a sample of three different soups. We all agreed that the gumbo roux was a little overcooked. We had coconut shrimp, calamari, crab stuffed mac and cheese, and grilled oysters. They were delicious. We had all of the desserts except the flan. I especially liked the chocolate mousse cake and the key lime pie. I thought the beignets could have done without the chocolate sauce. My friends said the crust for the peach cobbler should have been flakier. I thought it was okay. My only disappointment was my Tropical Storm cocktail. I could not taste any alcohol, and this drink cost $8.95. Overall, we left full and satisfied.

3 of us went there to try it out and it was wonderful we had the cod fish and chips and chicken strips and drinks and calamari and it was great. they also brought out 3 little cups of soups for us to try and i loved the clam chowder and my son really like the gumbo I think it was. it was all tasty. service was wonderful with smiling faces. we had drinks too. we will go back again soon.

Real "Fresh Fish"

I love this family owned place!! The crab cakes are excellent, the pecan crusted Cod was very good, poblano soup & Flounder. This is real fresh fish, not the frozen squares some places try to serve. So glad we have a neighborhood restaurant with excellent food & amazing service!!

Extraordinary value

I visited the new Anaya in Addison, in what is an amazing high value experience. The hush puppies with remoulade sauce are a great starter, as is the Clam Chowder. Being a first time visitor to Anaya, the chef sent out complimentary samples of 3 soups -- all delicious. I liked the Clam Chowder the most, thus ordering a cup of it. My dining partner and I split a sizable portion of cedar plank salmon with the honey glaze sauce on the side. That was an excellent choice. Lots of specials on the Board each day. I can't wait to return to this new Far North Dallas location on Knoll Trail Drive.

It's all about the food and service

Comfortable and fun ambiance - while we were seated an employee was updating the daily specials on the wall's chalkboard. Unlike many restaurants that feel obliged to entertain their diners, this place is all about the food and service. TVs were on but sound off and background music was low enough to set a relaxing mood but still allow us to have a pleasant conversation with our friends at the table. Overall service was very friendly. Our server was attentive but not "pushy" so we never felt rushed and were allowed to enjoy our happy hour drinks before ordering our meals. Menu was creative and food was nicely prepared. We will certainly return soon.

Delicious food and attentive staff

We visit Anaya’s about twice a month and every time the food is exceptional. This time I had the Ruby Red Trout and it was amazing. Calamari is always fresh and if the mac and cheese crab cakes are a must! The prices are reasonable and they even have happy hour all weekend and during weekdays! Don’t forget to save room for dessert because the cheesecake, key lime pie, flan, and bread pudding are all delicious!!!!

Great Neighborhood Seafood

Pleasant restaurant in small strip mall atmosphere. Lunch time saw a lot of cars jockeying for parking spaces close by, but all-in-all plenty of parking. Good sized restaurant with seating in and out. Waiter was very helpful in explaining menu and suggestions. Seasoning in soup sampler and soup flights was excellent and suggesting splitting featured entree was perfect. Only issue I have is that none of food was as warm or hot as I would have liked. Happy hour starts at noon on limited choice of items, and varies by day and items beyond that. Definitely would go back.

A notch above what you may be used to.

Enjoyed our lunch here so much. Everything was delicious and is a step above other places. They really know what they’re doing. We had coconut shrimp w/ three sauces, clam chowder, and the fish and chips. There was not a misstep on anything. I was especially happy with the sauces which paired so well with the food. And the tartar sauce was perfect, not too rich tasting. Chowder was some of the best we’ve had anywhere. Very nice and attentive staff too. They deserve you to give them a try.

Goo9d but could have been outstanding

Clam chowder was not hot and soup should be hot! Rice and beans was tasty but not hot temp. Tacos were good and liked the sauce too. Service was great, waitress understood the importance of gluten-free. Flan was a little dense and could have been lighter.

Fine Dining with Great Prices

My mom and I tried the Addison location, which was listed on Visit Addison Facebook page. We had three samples of soup, all delicious. I liked the clam chowder sample the best. I tried Anaya's Grilled Shrimp and Fettuccini with rustic garlic parmesan sauce, asparagus, mushrooms, two slices of toasted bread, and sun-dried tomatoes. Excellent meal! My mom had the fish tacos and she loved it! This restaurant is a winner! We will be back!

First timers

My wife and I came in for and quick evening meal. Wife had the catfish and I had the combo plate. Both were very good as first timers we were given a sample of 3 soups. The gumbo and clam chowder were the best, will return to try more of the menu.

Best Seafood in North Dallas

I know you has the best freshest Seafood around with a beautiful presentation for everything. The wait staff is friendly and efficient. The restaurant is casual but the food is certainly better than most you get at restaurants with fancy decor and tablecloths.

Good, but nit quite the best

Reviews were off the chart so tried it one evening. Food a little overcooked, but still very good. Service good. Atmosphere nice. It just seemed like the parts weren't all together as they should be. Maybe not the best night, but I will try again.

Soup Samples!!!

I have visited several times and I have never had anything except excellence. I had the best cod I have ever had! It was a "board" special. Be sure and ask for a soup sample. Perfect sample sizes! I love this feature. It makes me feel special for some strange reason. This is my go-to place!!!

Taco Tuesday!!!

The definition of Taco Tuesday!!! My husband and I lived in Southern California for a little bit - We definitely have an opinion let alone fish tacos. Let's just say... Anaya's has become our favorite seafood tacos hand down!!! We can not get enough of the ingredients... the chunks of pineapple, the deliciousness of the perfectly spiced fish, the toppings, even the RICE tastes buttery and delectable. We've already started to bring our friends here to show off our new favorite Tuesday Taco Spot. When you mention it's your first visit - they bring you little samples of their soups to try. And let me just say as soon as the temperature dips under 90 degrees, I'm getting some of that roasted poblano soup.
