Well, one member of the family wanted a traditional Thanksgiving dinner while two of us wanted something different. We were late in deciding whether we would go out for Thanksgiving dinner or cook at home. Silver Fox had reservations open so we gave it a try. It was surprisingly not busy. The Thanksgiving dinner of mashed potatoes, snap peas, and cranberry sauce was adequate; but all I can say about the cranberry sauce is that it was "potent." Two of us ordered fillets; we had no choice of sides so there were mashed potatoes and snap peas. There must have been a sale on the peas because everyone in the restaurant seemed to have them. The steaks were excellent but extremely salty. We ordered a side of cream corn which was wonderful. The chocolate cake we ordered for dessert was dry but large. We had originally planned on getting the steak for two or lobster that was on the on-line menu, but they weren't offered that evening. By the way, the butter and rolls are amazing!!! Service was good.

The food was good but one in our party had to send her steak back four times. The food temperature was hit or miss. Our waiter was inattentive and mostly ignored us. He had a snooty attitude from the start! Definitely not what I expected for a fine dining experience!

A great place to enjoy the Texan style of steak and pork chop! Ordered a nice bottle of wine to pair with the meat was perfect! Enjoyable evening with the yummy steak cooked in many ways and my pork chop was excellent. Perfectly cooked with meat retain its moist inside. Typically rock pork chop not easy to cook as may tend to overcooked and become hard. Enjoy the great evening with colleagues! Highly recommend with great service too!

We were invited to the Silver Fox for a company event and were quite surprised by the meal we received. The service was informed and attentive and the room was elegant and perfect for the occasion. We started with the seared ahi tuna with black pepper rum hoisin and the wedge salad with applewood smoked bacon lardons, house dried tomatoes and "bleu" cheese dressing. Both were good. Then we both ordered the seabass special and were incredibly disappointed. The beautiful piece of seabass was nicely cooked, then smothered in a thick wine cream sauce, placed on a highly salty bed of rice, followed by a layer of overcooked asparagus, the fish, the thick sauce poured over it, and the complete collection topped with a scallop. The scallop was benign and the dish was dominated by mixed tastes of strong salt and the thick sauce, completely overpowering the fish. The bad tastes stuck with us through the night long after the meal and into the next morning. Desert was a slice of pumpkin pie for which the server apologized for the moist crust when serving. However, the pie filling was pumpkin mush. We looked at each other at breakfast the next day and said, "That was a truly bad meal." It all started so well and with so much promise, then didn't deliver.

Horrible experience on Valentine’s Day. They set us behind the servers station and were slamming things down directly behind my head. There was a toddler in the booth behind my husband jumping in the booth during our entire meal. The waitress dropped a dirty knife from someone else’s plate on our table while we were eating. We asked to move to one of the three empty booths and were told no. This is horrible customer service for spending over $150 for two. We won’t be back.

I was in Dallas for meetings and we did a group dinner of 8 people. The staff is fantastic here forst of all. Probably in the top 5 steaks I have ever had. It is a very nice restaurant. Very expensive but everthing from the Crab Cake appetizers to the Onion rings were top notch. For a very special evening out I would highly recommend.

We are a group of college friends now in our seventh decade. We always enjoy gathering at the Silver Fox in Richardson for great food, excellent service and more memories. Our last gathering did not disappoint.
Among the group we enjoyed the petite filet and the salmon. The consensus was that the restaurant has not missed a beat in the preparation and the quality of their main entrees. Service and attention to detail was some of the best we have seen in a while in North Dallas.
We were never rushed to complete our meal for the next table turnover. Silver Fox remains one of our favorites.

Recently went to dinner on business. I had recommended to my associates on their last trip, they tried it out and wanted to return on their latest visit. They are good steakhouses all over Dallas, but this one is good and convenient to business in the Richardson area. You don't have to go to Frisco or downtown for a good steak.

Food was the same as going to Kroger and cooking at home but $200 more expensive. Service was pretentious and insulting at times. What a bad steakhouse!! Get your act together.

My wife and I celebrated our 34th wedding anniversary with dinner at the Silver Fox Steakhouse. The atmosphere was good, quiet so we could enjoy our conversation, and they have a decent wine selection. They brought us a single candle for the table and we got a free dessert as it was our anniversary. The Calamari is some of the best we've had, and we've had Calamari all over the country. I got the 8-oz filet mignon, which was cooked perfectly and very tender. My wife had the sea scallops which were seared perfectly and really tender as well (I had a bite). Their entree prices are moderate but less expensive compared to other steak houses like Three Forks or Ruth Chris, and the food was just as good. It appears as though several "celebrations" were occurring the same night. We had a birthday next to us and another 34th wedding anniversary couple two tables over. And if you get the chance to have some of their homemade Irish Creme, you're also in for a treat.

The environment is a typical strip mall steak house. The service was great. Now, why does the salad gets served in an ugly bowl - this day and age, can one not really invest in some nicer more contemporary serving dishes? The salad is bad - just loads of romaine drenched in dressing.
The steak was great - but the side of mashed potatoes were just horrific. Big blob of carbs.
The cake was huge - if this review was based on portion sizes - it would result in five stars.

This was the best food (steak, potatoes, snow peas) I have ever tasted! And that's saying a lot, since I'm 75 and have seldom gone a week without a steak. A tad pricely for just an ever-day meal, but worth it for a birthday or anniversary.
