Edgar's Hermano is located on the 2nd floor of the Whitehall Hotel. the waitstaff was so great. the food was good and reasonably priced. they have a lunch special that is extremely affordable. Guests who stay at the hotel get vouchers to eat here

This spot is located in the Whitehall Hotel and offers an amazing lunch deal for anyone in the area. I got the chicken fajita taco, veggie bowl, and vegetable soup. It also came with a small hand pie. The flavor and value were both fantastic and were topped with amazing service. I will absolutely be back.

Had dinner here and the menu was great. Food is always hot, fresh and delicious. Staff all very accommodating and had a variety of beers for those that like local hops

I was very nervous about reserving space in the restaurant area, when my supervisor and team members are use to the traditional private room. Erica Storch was very helpful in calming my nerves. She gave me several options and ideas or ways she could layout the area for my team mates to enjoy themselves and interact with each other. She was open to menu suggestions and the day of the event she was right there with me greeting my guest and showing them to our event area. Not only was the food great, the service was awesome and the staff was so nice and helpful. When we got back to the office my team mates told me they had a wonderful time and would like to go back. 😊 After all was said and done we were pleased with the total outcome of our event and will be going back.

Nice little hotel bar and good bartender. The steak is awesome but the hotel is so cold unfortunately I can't stay here. Will be back for steak though. Tried breakfast but it was too slow, then arrived cold. Oh well, can'gt have it all!

Edgar's Hermano is located on the second floor of the Whitehall Hotel on Smith. Parking difficult. Difficult for disabled. Upon entering restaurant No One was present except dining guests. We literally walked around looking for help. Menu normal and expensive for what you receive. Food presentation and flavors average. Service good. I cannot recommend nor will I return.

Natalie the bartender is so sweet. Very knowledgeable of the menu and surrounding attractions. She is a hard worker and runs that bar like a tru pro.

Had dinner here 1 night. It is a quite good restaurant. A little price but food was good. Took long time to get the food though and we was very hungry that night.. But anyway if you dont want to leave the hotel. Why not.

On the 2nd floor of the Whitehall Hotel, Edgar’s Hermano serves a quick lunch with some interesting twists and always with great service.
I recommend the “Pigs Wings” - slightly spiced/sweet, served on grits (I never thought I would eat them), a healthy (if you like) side, and a just right sized dessert. Fantastic.
Burgers, Southern Fried stuffed chicken - it’s all great, with a Tex-Mex flair.
If you walk up and then down the spiral stair case from the valet parking/lobby at the Whitehall, you feel slightly less guilty about the calories.

Stopped in for a drink after a long conference day - Natalie was efficient, professional and fun!
Breakfast on the last day was delicious - smoked salmon bagel with capers and onion - yum! Shout out to Marlon, our server. Very sweet and helpful!

During my stay in the hotel I used this place for breakfast every day and had dinner several times. Staff were very good...attentive and very pleasant.
The breakfast menu was reasonably large though after a week I was struggling to order. It was all a bit heavy with potatoes served with many choices. Still.it did set you up for the day.
Dinner was a different menu. I had the bacon burger on two separate days and the second time was significantly better than the first so that is a little inconsistent. Also the fried chicken with country gravy and mashed potatoes was hard going. The mash was great but the chicken very salty and to be honest I only forced it down out of politeness. One to avoid next time I go.

Great food, staff accommodated me even after arriving late for breakfast. The waiter was friendly and regularly checked if I was doing okay during my meal. Food was excellent as well. Enjoyed the All American breakfast and it was delicious. I even got to enjoy a cappuccino with my meal. My meal came quickly, and I was able to be out the door in no time. Overall the food and service here was excellent, and I'd absolutely come back and try whatever else Edgar's has to offer. I hear their drinks are great!

Decided to check this place out after work, and I was very pleasantly surprised. The location is great, and I was able to have a delicious dinner and skip out on traffic. I enjoyed a fantastic Ribeye on the recommendation of the young waitress Vasty, I believe. I also had a taste of the old fashioned drink with the restaurant's signature bourbon Edgar's Truth. Ambiance was quiet and very enjoyable. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, and was always on top of what I needed to enjoy my meal.

My first visit was really enjoyable and would have resulted in an above average rating. I ordered the ribeye and it was really good along with the Brussel sprouts, grilled or oven I am not sure but they were fantastic. Richard was an excellent server to round out the evening. Unfortunately, my second and third time was not as favorable with the ribeye. The Brussel sprouts were the best part of the meal. Richard was still fantastic. The fourth visit saved the "Very Good" rating. Switched the dinner order to the Blackened Snapper on Richard's advice. Excellent choice!

Edgard’s Hermano was a lovely surprise on my business trip to Houston this past April. It is the place to go for anyone visiting Houston who wants really good food at reasonable price. A great place to eat for group gathering as well. Great staff and good service with a cool setting – loved the décor and art. If you get the chance to go there, focus on the restaurant’s entrees which are pure culinary delight. From the Blackened Snapper topped with Blue Crab Etoufee served with Spanish rice, to Chef Sylvia Couvarrubias’ award winning Southern Fried Stuffed Chicken - absolute perfection! The best fried chicken ever in my opinion! Every single item on these two dishes complement each other - High level of culinary excellence. Their margaritas are pretty, pretty good as well. Over all Chef Sylvia is a gifted artist. She offers simple food with elevated flavors that are a just wonderful to savor on your first bite!
