This is a very good barbecue restaurant and is worth finding it hidden behind a bank. The chopped beef sandwiches were large portions and outstanding. The sausage is the best in Dallas maybe Texas. I know BBQ is subjective but as someone who has been to over 80 BBQ spots in Texas, this is very good. The sides are good ( cole slaw, potato salad...did not try the beans ).

A great family owned BBQ joint with a great staff and delicious sandwiches. Recommend the brisket sandwich and the brisket grilled cheese sandwich!

The Best of the best!!Barbeque,my Daughter and I first visit was by accident,after car shopping hunger set in and a hidden gem was found,my grandchildren were amazed and ecstatic over the barbecue ribs and all meats( Family meal ),smiling all the way to the water to wash the food down, we all could not stop talking about the ribs and how tender and succulent they were,and I quote" need no teeth to eat that meat😂👍and we all (6 individuals) total cheered at the end and everyone was pleased and happy😘,I live in Desto and I will drive to my hidden gem in barbecue always.$100+ well spent,Thanks blacksmoke barbecue.I will tell my family and friends to stop by when in the area, And have a blessed and productive day.see you again soon. got my vote.👍

We waited half an hour to get out drinks. Just after asking again they recognized our order. I'm non alcoholic and they brought me an alcoholic mojito instead my ordered mockfail. We asked twice to get all courses together or at least fast after another because of our little baby.
But the manager Jannih ignored all orders/wishes
. When he brought our food he did not even asked what belongs to whom just put it on the table with an ignorant attitude.
Food im general was good but his behavior will rather not make us coming back again.

We have travelled 9000 miles from Australia for a bbq food road trip around Texas and this place is amazing. Brisket is cooked for 14 hours overnight and then rested. The owner is passionate about meat and happy to chat to you about it. We ordered the family special which had 1lb brisket, 1lb pork, 1/2 rack of ribs, 1lb of sausage. Fries, coleslaw, mash and baked beans and really soft bread rolls.
Also had the spicy bbq sauce which is the best sauce I have ever tasted...by far. They make the sauce in house and sell it but they had run out but are happy to post some to Aus, what great service!
These guys have won multiple bbq cook offs and it is little wonder why. You get a real sense that this place and cooking bbq is the owner’s passion. Give it time, some tv show will do a feature here one day.
Do not miss.

Delivered on time and still hot - fried okra was good but I did not care for the coleslaw. Spouse had potato salad and baked beans.

Today, our motorcycle group took a short ride over to Blacksmoke BBQ after our chapter meeting. This is a brand new BBQ joint, no smoky grease hanging on the walls. Usually that would be a "bad" sign but I was pleasantly surprised.
It is a walk up and order from the handwritten menu kinda place. The menu appeared to have all the staples on it, so of course, I ordered brisket.
The food was prepared quickly and brought to our table, no easy feat when you consider that our group filled almost half the restaurant.
My brisket was wonderfully tender, two more minutes in the smoker and it would have just fallen apart. The flavor was a mild smoke, the sauce on the side has just enough tang to make for a great compliment. Being a traditionalist, I had baked beans and potato salad. Both were excellent.
I understand that they will get their beer license shortly, that will be good.
Overall I give it a 4 out of 5. Clean, quick, and tasty!
