Love the New Location

Mary has continued the quality from the old location. Food was excellent. As expected this soon after opening the new location, the new waitstaff was having some hiccups but that is to be expected in any new start. Mary and the staff were all very friendly. It was a little on the loud side because of the acoustics, but I think much of that was the excitement of former customers at the previous location being excited about getting some more Enchiladas Ole! This new location is more convenient for us and we will now be dining at Enchiladas Ole much more often. Congrats to Mary on another winning move in her restaurant career!

Delicious, Crowded and Noisy

Enchiladas Ole has been in their new location for around two weeks, and they have not gone unnoticed. Met some friends for dinner, and met early thank goodness. By 6:00, the wait time was past thirty minutes and increasing as you watched. Whether that trend will hold is the question. Our friends frequented Ole's previous location and claimed it was preferable to this location. The food was just as good, but everything else was off. This place follows the trend today of hard surfaces with no acoustical panels, which ran the decibel level in a full restaurant way past the comfort zone. Add the earnest, but overwhelmed, service to the menu, and our entire experience fell well below optimal. For the record, the management and service staff appeared to be doing their professional and friendly best. Still, apologies about the kitchen being backed up, bombing run style chip refills (dropping another basket on the current basket[s] as you run by), and earnestness only go so far. Never having eaten at the previous location, I cannot compare the food. I can tell you this was as good or better than some of my favorite Tex-Mex or Mexican joints. The questions for the long haul will be: Can the staff get up to speed for a packed house, and will the quality of the food outweigh the noise level? Will we be back. Probably, but on a slow night.

Excellent in every respect

We at lunch on Saturday at about 11:30. Immediate seating. Our waitress, Arlene, was very fast with chips and drinks. She was very friendly and professional. We received our order in about 10 minutes. It was delicious. The Mexican rice has a unique flavor and is the best I have ever tasted. There was a group of people who had just paid for their meal. The manager, Nicole, canceled the purchase and allowed us the great honor of buying lunch for a Viet Nam veteran and his friends. We could not have had a better dining experience. Thank you, Nicole and Arlene. I highly recommend Enchilada Ole!

Just not good

I have tried once at old location and tried it at the new location. Experience the same both times. Cheese enchiladas are my favorite dish and these are very mediocre. I also prefer refried beans, and they serve whole. The rice though is very good. Margaritas are very small, week and no flavor. Gave them a chance, but just not a fan.

Great Family Packs

We had wanted to try Enchilada's Ole prior to COVID, then they closed the old Fort Worth location to open at the current space. So it wasn't until after all the COVID craziness that we got a chance. They have done a good job adapting to the carry out revolution - the only way we've gotten food from there. The family packs are a good deal, easily two full meals for my family of three. It's nice to be able to order two types of enchiladas so that everyone is happy. We love the Hatch Chicken, with a spicy brown gravy type sauce on top and actually flavorful chicken inside. Our other usual is the Texican and the smoky brisket is unlike any other enchilada I've had. We always get the queso to go with - thick, rich and tasty! Two containers each of rice and beans, plus plenty of chips and yummy salsa. I hope they keep these family packs permanently as they make life so easy! The only minor complaint is that I assume these are sometimes made ahead, as the consistency has been, well, inconsistent. Sometimes everything is piping hot and melty. Other times it's luke warm and a bit dry. Then we've also gotten soggy tortillas like they'd been sitting in that sauce quite a while. The positive is that the flavor is already there and popping them in the microwave to reheat is no big deal. We look forward to dining in to explore more of the menu!

Nice shaded outdoor porch

I got a dish of brisket and avocados, and it was enormous! There were 2 entire avocados, a Lot of brisket, and queso, guac, etc. It took me about three days to eat the whole thing. It was very good. My husband was a bit disappointed in his chicken mole enchiladas. The mole sauce was really, really chocolatey and sweet. That might be some folks idea of heaven, but I think it would have gone better over ice cream. The rita's were decent, but a little sweet for my taste.

Texican Enchiladas

I visited both Enchilada Ole locations within a week and ordered the Watermelon Jalapeño Margarita both times. The margarita was perfect, and although I like spicy, the fresh jalapeño was on the mild side, so it just added a depth of flavor, not heat. It also had chunks of watermelon that were excellent since they soaked up the flavor of the margarita. For my entree, I ordered Texican Enchiladas. The smoky brisket in the enchiladas had great flavor as did the red sauce. I will definitely order them again.

Rated in the top 5 of ft worth for a reason! I got the pollo pollo enchilada plate and they were amazing. Enchiladas seem to be hand crafted with love and for that matter the beans and rice were better and more flavorful than other Mexican places. Well worth it and will be back.

Yay we got our Mexican restaurant

Yay we got our Mexican restaurant back. It’s not the old authentic tortilla making place that used to be here, but it’s very close. The service was quick and fast I like they have outside seating, the food was delicious and the margaritas were on point. The pricing was equivalent to the value and more importantly it was within three minutes of home. I love this place and will be coming back. So glad to see someone take the spot and offer Mexican food and margaritas ;)

WOW!

We ate dinner at the restaurant with three other couples, utilizing their outdoor dining area. The tables are socially distanced and it was a pleasant evening. The service was excellent and the food was outstanding. We will visit this restaurant whenever we're in Ft. Worth and recommend it to anyone.

Good but over hyped

Went here for dinner. First time. The main dining area was hot. There didn’t seem to be sufficient cooling for the area where the door kept opening and kitchen area. The noise level was disturbing. There is not enough insulation to absorb the decibels. The bar area was cooler and less noisy. The waitstaff was great. Attentive and quick with service. The hot sauce was great. Fresh, right mix of tomato, cilantro, onion and heat. I had the beef enchiladas (Vaquero) was mediocre, nothing special from other restaurants. The rice had a touch too much salt. The ranchero beans were nondescript. Wife had grilled chicken enchiladas (Pollo Pollo) with sour cream. The chicken was grilled well and tasted good. The other couple had had the chicken quesadillas which was large and filled the plate. Also the taco salad which was presented well and said to be tasty. The experience was not a pleasant experience mostly do to the heat and sound level. Even if the food had been top drawer it could not offset these distractions. This seemed to be the type of place that a younger, louder crowd would frequent, such as the many college students that were there. I’m not sure I would recommend this to people who wished to have dinner with conversation.

This place was not good

We tried it because it was new near our house. It was really bad unfortunately. The salsa tasted like spaghetti sauce. The chicken was so bland. The hatch enchilada sauce tasted like spoiled milk. The prices were high for what you got. I had high hopes. On the bright side the margaritas was good.

Not What I Remember

I visited the original Enchilada's Ole years ago and ws impressed by the flavors and freshness of the food. Yesterday, I visited for dinner and the beginning of the meal was what I had remembered from the past, a salsa made from fresh ingredients that was tasty and had just the right amount of heat. Unfortunately, that was not the experience for the rest of the meal. Having grown into a very popular restaurant, I have to assume that the way meals are prepared are the reason for the disappointment, The food was average and looked as if it was prepared with sauces and ingredients that were prepared, including the cooking of meats, ahead of time. The items on the plate were heated uneven, especially the main enchiladas which were not heated thoroughly. Again my guess, assembled then heated quickly under a broiler. Time to visit a Mom and Pop restaurant to get back to that freshness and great taste of Mexican food.

Best Enchiladas in the Metroplex!

The best chicken enchilada I’ve ever had! This was my first visit, couple of friends wanted me to try this place cause they are regulars there! The owner, Mary Perez, The Saucy Lady of Ft Worth stopped by our table and asked to take a picture of my completely empty plate after hearing it was my first visit! Then she sat with us and just shared her life story! What a Lady that can make a “Mean Enchilada!!” I’ll now will be a regular and I’m looking forward to sampling her other enchiladas! Thanks Mary

Heaven on earth!

If you’re searching for extraordinary food for an extraordinary price, look no further than Enchiladas Ole! I have not eaten one bad dish from this establishment. My personal fav is the hatch brisket enchiladas. YUM YUM YUM!! Thanks to all of the staff members who always make my experience a 10/10!!! Truly heaven on earth! Much love!!!
