They did a great job of remodeling their new space, retaining the dark wood and romantic vibe, including live piano. When we were there, the noise level was moderate (75 dB on Soundprint), but fine for talking. We sat in a booth in the back....My lamb chops were excellent. My husband's filet of sole was a little overdone. The service was excellent. We'll be back. The location is very convenient to the theater district.More

This place is a pleasant romantic throwback to the 70s ( at least) with piano music, leather upholstered booths with oak wainscoting and very good food. We had the beet salad, French onion soup, sole, duck, and crème brûlée all of which were excellent. Wine...by the glass choice was very good and our waiter very attentive. It was a very enjoyable evening and would certainly return if I’m back in DallasMore

Elegant setting, great food, excellent service. Prompt, yes, fast, no. Charming, old ambiance. Wide selection of food, wine, and bar. Excellent preparation and presentation. This a 'goto' place for a quiet, relaxed evening. (circa 2019) *************** We have been there each year since, In September...2022 we celebrated our anniversary with family. It is no better, no worse. Just great in a calm, pleasant, solid sort of way.More

We came here for Restaurant Week 2021 after having visited the restaurant a couple of times previously. The food selections ranged from mediocre to good with a grilled salmon entree sticking out on the better side. There was a real disconnect in service. Our waiter...pushed the optional wine pairings that were selected for each course. We took that route and then a few minutes later got to hear another waiter tell the table behind us that the pairings were worthless and to skip them. Solid salesmanship there.More

Love the atmosphere and the menu. But the food is hit and miss and the wine list is mediocre. Recent visit is a good example. Wine list is mostly off year bottles the wholesalers have discounted because they are not moving well. Best Bordeaux years,...for example, are 2009, 2010, 2015, and 2016.More

Absolute magic! Skip the trip to France and go here. The elegance and savoir-faire of the service and the food impressively capture the essence of a romantic European evening. Low lighting, wine-themed decorations, and live music contribute to the romance. The pianist was marvelously passionate....The service was sophisticated yet friendly - very attentive. To start, the Paul Chevalier Brut Blanc de Blanc sparkling wine from Bordeaux was gorgeous - very surprised to find how affordable the bottle's market price is (less than the price of a glass here). Ask about the house-made paté! The brie soup was a cheesy (very rich) dream. I had my first escargot here & was enchanted especially by the mushroom garlic cream sauce. The snails were well-farmed - no dreaded sandy crunch. The superstar main - not on the set menu - was the seafood medley. Scallops, crab, shrimp, and lobster morsels hid in a creamy tomato béchamel that could probably convert anyone into a seafood lover. The Boeuf Bourgignon and le Bifteck Diane were impressively and deliciously executed traditional beef dishes. Le Bifteck Diane won the Meat category, and the Boeuf Bourgignon, the Sauce category. Phenomenal garlic potato purée! From the set menu, however, the overall winner may be the Sole. The fish was perfectly cooked in a creamy lemon garlic sauce. The desserts were delicious - most of all the cheesecake. The chocolate terrine was unapologetically intense. The crème brulée was classic. It did better with the strawberries stolen from the cheesecake. The wine pairings were well justified. From the white selection, the chardonnay was stout and buttery, the sauvignon blanc fruity and spirited, and pinot gris thin and airy. Tip for maximum enjoyment: Take a walk between the main course and dessert. The food is true to French cuisine in its butter-prizing composition, so you will enjoy dessert more by giving it a bit of time. Saint Martin’s is on a lovely neighborhood block, perfect for an evening stroll. I went here two nights in a row, giving Saint Martin's my entire Dallas weekend with no regrets. This is not just a dinner, it is a sensory spectacle. Do not miss it!More

Beautiful location in a wonderful location. The people who work there are fantastic and it is such a romantic and beautiful experience. The wine was phenomenal. I had the duck and my girlfriend had lobster. Both were perfectly cooked and tasted absolutely wonderful. One of...the best experiences we’ve had in our relationship and one we will cherish for the rest of our lives. Can’t recommend this wonderful restaurant enough. If you’re in Dallas, please come here and do your taste buds a favor. JD was our waiter and was so incredibly professional and we were taken care of completely. We will be coming here in the future year after year from here on out.More

Lovely evening in retro restaurant with good food, friendly ambiance and non-obtrusive wait staff. Steak & frites very good, sole excellent & lamb a nice treat well presented. Caesar salads nice with authentic not bottled dressing (one can tell) and dessert-cream brûlée perfect crust with...desired inner consistency. The wine list was really so fantastic!!! Super prices on quality Bordeaux and many other options. If you are a wine lover-you must go! We will be back!More

We reserved a table for our 15th wedding anniversary last Tuesday night. They seated us in the lovely little private nook and took wonderful care of us all evening. We were pleasantly surprised they had live music on a weeknight, too. We had the escargo,...petite salad, and I had the beef Bourguignon and my spouse had the rack of lamb. I can't say enough about how good the beef was, and the escargo were perfection. The service we received was impeccable with absolutely perfect timing as well.More

Ambience is 5 star. Love the decor. The steak/beef dishes and creme brûlée are very good. I had the stuffed lobster tail dish and it was very mediocre. 4 star is probably a better rating but I was so disappointed at the last visit.

I can't believe I've lived in Dallas this long and am just now eating here. FANTASTIC: atmosphere, service, food. Unreal. These people have it down. We had escargot and the brie soup for starters OMG delicious. Fresh bread and butter accompanies. Nice. We each had...steak: one Diane and one with frites (so fresh and crispy!). the seasoning on the steak made it super tender and tasty. The sauce! It was so freaking good I am still thinking about it. Get here if you can. The prices are reasonable and you get a lot of food. Terrific wait staff with dry sense of humor----so fun!More

St. Martin's is strictly a restaurant. I think that you are thinking of Hotel St. Germaine which is over on Maple Avenue. I have eaten at St. Germaine, but I have never stayed there.
