I really liked this restaurant. Kind of like upscale food meats dive bar ambiance. And I mean that as a total compliment. We were going to a show at the Majestic down the street, so the location was perfect. Started with drinks for my wife and I – the That’s Wheat She Said for my wife and the Mule Kick for me. Both liked them a lot. For a starter, we split the Lobster Rangoon Spring Rolls. Filled with flavor, generous on the lobster and well cooked. Two different sauces on the side with the two of us each preferring a different one. My wife had the Crab Cake Sandwich for her main. It is huge, filling an entire lobster roll. While the crab cakes themselves were prepared perfectly, what really set this apart was the tomato, rocket, sriracha aioli that were used to dress it. She could only eat half, but the other half made an excellent next day meal. I tried Prawns & Polenta. Of all of the variations of shrimp and grits style meals I have had over the years, this one was one of the top ones. Great flavor to the shrimp grilled with coffee crust & cajun spice. That description scared me at first, but final flavor was exceptional. The cajun spice was forward of the two, but not overpowering or too hot, and the coffee crust seemed to hit the smell more than the tastebuds, creating a unique sensory exploration that I really enjoyed. Polenta was good, as was the spinach, red onion and pancetta. For a side, we split the roasted baby carrots. Again, perfectly prepared. And, really splurging we ordered a rare for us dessert – a Basque Cheesecake – which was also very good. As you can tell, I have nothing but positives to say about The Woolworth. Side note, it is upstairs on a second floor, so the people watching down the street was fun.

This was our first time at The Woolworth! The food and service was outstanding! Our server, Noel, provided world class service, and anytime we travel to Dallas this restaurant will be on our “must eat” list!! Thanks!!

Came in starving and a bit irritated by that. Was greeted immediately by Wendal, who engaged us and took our order before even seating us! Sat outdoors on a gorgeous fall day on the second floor patio overlooking a park/tree-lined walkway. Unique and varied drink menu. Just renovated, said our server Caroline, who also ended up being our trip advisor. For an afternoon away from the national pickleball tournament in a suburb, she gave us many helpful suggestions! The food was plated beautifully, jalapeños were omitted at our request without an eye roll, chips served apart from the fresh tuna and avocado as requested…smiles, prompt water refills, delicious fresh salad. All around 10/10. And I rarely take the time to do these

The restaurant was nice and the patio was cool. We had high hopes after reading some reviews. We had 2 appetizers and the hula pie. They were all just okay. The reasons for the low review is because we ate those appetizers with no silverware or napkins. When we finally got someone to bring us silverware they brought us each exactly 1 fork. No napkin or other silverware. We did enjoy the cocktail but when asked if we wanted another it didn’t come until after we got our check. The waitress did apologize and take it off our check but it didn’t save the experience.

Tater tot app was okay. Halibut dinner had no flavor, potato and spinach mix with it didn’t blend at all. Seafood salad plate was random and didn’t blend well together at all. Overall the meal was not top notch for the top notch price charged. Wont be back.

Cute bar and restaurant in downtown Dallas right next to the eyeball attraction. We sat out on the balcony, which is really fun. They have a really great happy hour from 11 to 6 PM I believe. My husband got the vanilla old fashioned and the smoke and spice and they were delicious. I had the Happy hour red wine, which is Pinot Noir and it was very delicious for only six dollars a glass. Our server was Colin M. and he was great and very attentive!

A beautiful dinner experience for our beautiful newly weds, where Josh made the evening very memorable by starting us with Hana’s Toast a must try. Then we proceeded cooked to perfection Ribeye with lobster Mac&cheese accompanied by the house salad. Then Josh surprised them with a pound cake topped ice cream, whip cream, bourbon cherries 🍒 and a flaming firework. Josh was wonderful and also suggested great drinks 🍹 to accompany each dish. Thanks for making this the best evening for my girls on the wedding day Josh!!!!

Our family enjoyed a late lunch/early dinner here. Colin was our watier and he was wonderful. He gave us several food and beverage suggestions right off the bat. Our family shared the crab nachos (very delicious) and their specialty drinks were unique and delicious. The ribeye and lobster grilled cheese were wonderful and the beef tartar was fresh and delicious! We loved the cute, contemporary and welcoming atmosphere.

We dined here for Girl's night and everything was amazing. The ambiance and atmosphere was perfect for dining. Our server Nick was simply delightful and attentive. He explained the history of the Woolworth store from decades ago which I wondered if there was a connection. We ordered several apps: Calamari, Lobster spring rolls, Nana's toast and truffle fries; all were delicious. For entrees we ordered the Prawns and Polenta, Salmon, and Lamb pops; everything was tasty. This was everyone's first dining experience at this restaurant and based on tonight, we will definitely be back.

My husband and I stopped in for dinner. He had steak…wood fire grilled and excellent. I had scallops, also excellent. The surprise was dessert. Hula pie was huge enough to share and the coconut enhanced ice cream was delicious.

It had been a few months since our last visit and they went through a very extensive remodel and WOW is the place beautiful. The menu seems to have changed a bit too. But, the crab nachos are still there! We tried a few new dishes this time like angel eggs and salmon crudo, they sure didn't disappoint. My wife had the veal and i had the filet along with mac & cheese with lobster and cream spinach. The portions are large and we had enough food for our lunch the next day. There are so many new items that looked amazing on the menu, that we have already made plans to come back on our next date night!

Great food and great service from Josh. Carmelized salmon was amazing. Zoodles were SO good. Chef should consider doing a half-portion for a side option. Crab nachos were HUGE. Great portion sizes meant I had to box up a lot of food since I was dining solo. Tried the grilled pound cake but was disappointed… it tasted more burnt than grilled. I should HSV tskrn Josh’s recommendation and tried the cheesecake! I would definitely come back if in Dallas.

Easily one of the best brunch experiences I’ve had in a long time. I sat at the bar for a leisurely meal while working. Noel took great care of me, offering suggestions that did now miss. Do yourself a favor and try Nana’s Toast! All of the staff were cheerful and engaging. The food was delicious- just well-crafted mouthfuls of comfort. Highly recommend!

Had to check out the Woolworth. It was always a special trip to the Woolworth store in Camrose, Alberta. The Dallas Woolworth, with beautiful heavy wood and glass doors lead to the original stairway of the Woolworth store. Our Server, Colin was amazing, bringing us refreshing drinks on such a warm day in Dallas. I had the lobster Mac & Cheese-the flavors of creamy smoked cheese with the lobster- Oh yum! The house salad with lots of flavor, valentine radish, shredded kale, and greens, mango slices and feta. Thank you Colin for your great service and giving these Canadians directions on the busy freeways of Dallas.

From appetizers to desserts, this place offers some familiar sounding options with delicious twists. I wish that I had taken some pictures of the creative and beautifully presented dishes we were served! The Zoodles (zucchini noodles) were my absolute favorite - that sauce had some kick! Not the kind of kick that makes you gasp for a drink of milk, but rather, the zing that makes you grab a piece of bread to sop up all the yummy goodness once you have slurped down the last zoodle. We also enjoyed a meatball appetizer (comfort food to the max!), caprese lollipops (fresh and refreshing) and vanilla OG cake, and we didn't have to break the piggybank to pay for it all. Dinner in downtown Dallas for under $70! Oh, and did I mention the wonderful service and that they have upstairs outdoor seating?!
