Amazing dinner, impeccable service. Seated immediately and then just enjoyed a leisurely dinner. We were shocked we were there for 3 hours! It didn’t feel like that long. Our server was Matt. He took very good care of us. This was a first visit for...us. He took time to give his recommendations. Everything was wonderful- popcorn lobster, oysters, filet, iceberg wedge (perfect), enjoyed my red snapper so much, did not realize the leeks would be inside the fish, creamed spinach, potato gratin. The toasted banana bread was a little too sweet for both of us but the chocolate creation the chef sent us was perfection. This was a memorable evening and we can’t wait to returnMore

Really great dinner. The food, each item, was excellent. We started with the cheese and peppers and moved to the chicken and a steak. All great quality and fresh. The booth was great and make sure you book one as it is a great set...up. Service as good and efficient. Highly recommendMore

We eat at Kayne Prime every time we visit Nashville and have for the past 8 years. We order basically the same thing every time and they have never disappointed. Wagyu filet, creamed corn brule, kale salad paired with a good cold martini or nice...red! Friendly service and lots of rooms and a good bar. Have attended several private room parties here and they are great hosts!More

One word... disappointing I've heard so many good things about Kayne Prime that I was excited to experience it for myself. From the minute we were shown to our table the disappointment began. We were sat in the bar at a high top like we...were just some walk-ins that did not have a reservation, but I've had one for 3 months. The martinis we ordered were so-so, clearly sat on the bar to long and were no longer cold or even chilled. Our server was clearly overwhelmed. There was no teamwork by any of the other servers even though she said she’d be “leading our service”. When she was there, she was friendly, but she was not attentive. Used dishes sat on our table and not a single person even offered to pick them up. We watched her as well as multiple other servers and manager walk by our table and not even acknowledge we were there. It was the attention to detail that was lacking… I wore light clothes and had a black napkin. I ordered steak and the same knife that was on the table when I sat down was the one, I had to use. Frankly the service, food, and cocktails that I have gotten at J Alexander's is far superior to what we received from Kayne Prime. This would be number 10 on my list of 1 to 10 BUT only because I’ve not been to 11. If I had, Kayne Prime would not even be on my list of steak restaurants.More

We dined here with our business associates during a conference we attended in Nashville. The food was great. We really enjoyed the appetizers including the popcorn lobster and the duck tacos. I had the 6 ounce Wagyu filet mignon, which was delectable. We liked all...of the sides they had as well, including the spinach, the brussels sprouts, the risotto, tater tots. And the scallop potatoes. One outstanding appetizer was the crème brûlée corn. The dessert menu was great as well and they had a good wine list and good cocktails. The service was good too although our waiter was a little bit opinionated. All in all everything was excellent and we had a good time.More

Dined with a large business group after a day long meeting. The restaurant was very comfortable and attractive. Perfect for a group like ours. One of my colleagues and I shared the bone-in ribeye which turned out to be fabulous. The rest of the menu...is good, well prepared but not quite up to the standard of the steak. Cocktails were solid - service particularly given the size of our group was great.More

So glad we came here! It did not disappoint! We showed up a little earlier than our reservation. They were gracious enough to let us be seated. I can’t ever understand the logistics of why restaurants sit people in different spots of the restaurant. At...first they sat us a weird and secluded area way in the back. I asked the hostess, if they could give us a booth and she kindly made it happen. Andrew, our server, was informative, and really nice. He explained the menu and specials very well. He was attentive to us and delivered excellent service. Nicole, manager, came around to also make sure we were well. 5 out of 5 for service! Even though my review was 5 stars, not everything was 5 stars for us. Tomahawk Steak ($180, 32oz)- 4 out of 5 very flavorful, delicious- BUT- we asked for it to cooked, medium and it came out medium rare. We sent it back for a quick touch up. Chefs recovered well!! My only thing was this steak was a lot fattier than expected. Housemade Bacon- ($20)- 3 out of 5. Wifey didn’t like pork belly! I liked it- I didn’t love it. Very tender! Cotton Candy- so delicious. Cotton Candy so good/ pork belly is good- together- NOT A FAN! Cream Corn Brûlée-($15) 5 out of 5!!! Such a great concept! Get it!! Macaroni Gratinée- ($20) their Mac n Cheese version! So fire!!! 5 out of 5 Espresso Martini- ($18) 5 out of 5 You have to go go drink!!! -($16) 1 out of 5 Pricey, romantic, great ambiance and delicious food! If you can do it- make it happen!More

This place is great. Service at the bar and at dinner was tremendous. We had the Australian Wagyu ribeye. One of the best steaks that I have ever had. This place is not cheap, but it is worth the money.

A wonderful evening of drinks and dinner. Some of the best steak we have ever had! Be sure to experience the Japanese Snow aged strip Loin from Niigata, Japan! Cooked at your table on a heated stone! Cannot say enough about the excellent attentive service...by Amir and Allie. They left us wanting nothing. Chelsea and Tara completed the experience and checked on us constantly. Every one working was friendly and attentive. We had the Wagyu Filet Mignon, best steak ever! The Creme Brûlée cream corn as a side, enough for two to share. Fabulous cheese cake with Hot fudge topping to finish everything off.More

I'd like to start off saying something nice about Kayne. They can make an edible wedge salad. It was far from great but not bad. We ordered their bacon appetizer, a Wagyu filet, the 24 oz bone in ribeye and potato aligot side. First, the...sous vide cooked bacon was lacking flavor. Covering it up with cotton candy helped somewhat. I am of the opinion that there are 2 things in life in which there is no such thing as bad, one of them is bacon. So it was not bad but this was for sure in the bottom 10%. On to the Wagyu Filet, ordered medium, pink throughout, it was delivered rare. The waiter took it back to the kitchen, close to 15 minutes later brought the same steak back over well done, dry and chewy. The bone in ribeye was perfectly rare as ordered and great. A high quality steak cooked well. The side, Potato Aligot was bad. I guess Aligot means cheese fondue with some overly pureed (not mashed) potatoes mixed in. It was an under seasoned goopy cheese mess. As for ambiance, this place is a maze of rooms some with a better vibe than others. At our table the fabric covered seats were food stained and the edges of the table were chipped and worn. Not what I would expect in a $200+ per person restaurant. There is no way this can be the best steak house in Nashville. There is no excuse for blowing the cook on a filet by 20 degrees. It's doubly inexcusable to then over cook it. I got the impression that they are trying to be edgy with their menu, presenting a lot of unusual combinations. I get that, but they need to make sure it works. My advice would be to dine elsewhere.More

We’ve had a gift certificate for 4 years to this place and just haven’t been able to get there… until tonight on our 15th anniversary. It was everything we expected and then some. Our waiter Billy was excellent and very informative of the entire menu....We started with drinks, husband got the smoked pecan drink and he loved it. I had an amaretto sour and really good. We didn’t do an appetizer but got the Japanese snow aged tenderloin 2oz. A bit pricey at $70 but we did it for the experience. They cooked it on a 500 degree salt block in front of you. we split the Caesar salad and it was prob the best we’ve ever had. Then we split the progression wagyu and it really was amazing. 12oz total. We couldn’t even finish it. We split the risotto tots as a side with creamy horseradish. REALLY GOOD! The bread that came with it was excellent. We really enjoyed the whole dinner. Our waiter surprised us with a complimentary dessert for our anniversary of white chocolate cheesecake with an espresso mousse and amazing chocolate sauce poured over it. Overall it was pricey for 2 people but given it was such a special occasion and we were given a gift card towards it, we thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing.More

We live here in Nashville downtown and have been to a majority of all the best steak houses here in town, this one will be at the bottom of the list. I do not write reviews often, but this experience was so far below expectation,...I felt compelled to share. While the steaks were good as expected (correct temperatures, seasoned well), the rest of the meal was wanting, food came out horrifically slow, sides were cold/undercooked and the experience was overall forgettable. The atmosphere was ok and they did have some unique options, but poor overall service and food presentation seemed to cast a shadow over the benefits of the restaurant. You have a lot of great options here in Nashville, I would pass on this one, poor value for the price, poor customer service execution, and a host of much better options close by.More
