We came at about midday for a bit of late brunch. Got the pancakes and the pulled pork burger. Believe me when I say that they were the best things we ever had. Chefs really know how flexible a vegan menu can be. Got the...salted caramel smoothie as well which was cool. Everything was clean, and the aesthetic of the cafe was pleasing without being overstating. The presentation of the food (particularly the pancakes), was sublime.More

Arrived as a party of 4 for brunch at 11, waited over 90 minutes for what turned out to be a less than appetizing meal. Offered a slice of banana bread by way of apology for the long wait.... Certainly wouldn't recommend and will not...be returningMore

One of the worst breakfasts I’ve had in a long time. Waited over 50 minutes for average food and coffee. No atmosphere and overpriced.

Dined here for brunch and the food was average at best. Disappointing compared to our last visit. Coffees are fine.

There is a terrific selection of healthy and delicious breakfast dishes and plenty for vegans and vegetarians to choose from. The coffee is great and the service is friendly and professional. We used our ‘Dine and Discover’ voucher and the restaurant took $30 off the...bill which was a bonus!More

Have visited Ruby Lane several times and the food and coffee are always consistently good. Today was no different but have to say dog love I has gone from sublime to the ridiculous!! We were there from 9.30 - 11.00 am and in that time...two huge dogs 🐕 were allowed into the restaurant, one put its paws and head on the table and the other was allowed to eat off the plate .. I love dogs but really this is taking dog love too far !!More

The focus here is on organic foods with lots of vegan and vegetarian options and cakes, brownies and muffins are made without refined sugar. Whilst I don't actively seek this out, the food here was delicious. It is an all-day brunch style menu. I ordered...the veggie burger on an organic charcoal bun. I had somehow overlooked the charcoal bun description on the menu so was surprised by the black bun that turned up. However it was very good. The chickpea and cauliflower burger also came with kimchi, aioli, lettuce and pickles. It had a lot of flavour and I really enjoyed it. The café has a lot of space with seating at the front on a covered deck area and more seating inside. It is outside the centre of Manly and is set back a little way from Manly beach. By car, it’s a couple of minutes from the Queenscliff SLS club or a 10-15 min walk. Note: the kitchen finishes at 2:30 although the café stays open until 4pm.More

Love everything about this place EXCEPT the service! The waitress literally called us liars to our face. I came out from the restroom and my husband already ordered, I check the time it was 9:50. 10:30 comes and I check on my order. Waitress said...in with a sarcastic tone and expression “you ordered 15mins, it takes 25 mins on weekends”. Very rude and totally unnecessary, and for that never spending another penny here.More

Upon arriving at the front entrance to this cafe and grocer, we instantly had a good feeling about it. Staff were super friendly, approachable and prompt in accomodating a table for us. We were provided with menus, offered water and coffee whilst we decided what...to order. We thought the service here was excellent from start to finish and the feel of the cafe had overwhelming positive vibes. This hardly surprised us give their vision and ethos to make a healthy lifestyle fun, social, available and inspirational. Their grocer and retail store is stocked with sustainable produce, granolas, spreads, snacks, books and more. We really wanted to stock our whole pantry after this visit. We also think it is great that this cafe hosts workshops and events for people to learn about different foods, where they’re sourced and how they can relate to your health. You can also grab a takeaway coffee or food or dine in for an amazing meal. The cafe uses healthy seasonal ingredients, sourced from local farmers and the meals produced focus on those full of nutrients, low in sugar but high in taste. The menu is so appealing with its fresh salads, chia puddings and açai bowls, as well as a healthy pancake option. They cater to all dietary requirements too. We began with a slice of their amazing paleo bread which was eaten too fast to get a picture. It is a thick slice made with cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, cashews, seeds and pasture raised eggs which provides a low GI option. We had the sweet potato fritters (gluten and dairy free), served with smashed avo, pasture raised poached eggs, snow pea tendrils, Ruby’s kimchi and black sesame seeds. You can also get this with a bacon, or mushrooms for the vegan option. We also loved the Green Chicken Power salad (gluten free) with smoked pasture raised chicken breast, roast pumpkin, brown rice, green leaves, pickled zucchini, feta, chimichurri dressing and a house made seedy cracker. A fulfilling and enjoyable dish. The cafe also focuses on giving back and supporting others in need. The day we were there, they were promoting a 'bush regeneration dinner' to support tree planting in Batemans Bay. With an environmental focus, they also have solar power on the roof, biodegradable packaging and they donate any unused food at the end of the day with Oz Harvest. We love everything about this place and certainly are keen to revisit next time we’re over that side of the bridge.More

Had heard a lot but never visited. A really nice cafe, lots of different sized tables to allow different numbers of people, papers to read and quick and polite staff. My coffee was as good as any other in Manly but the fruit and nut...toast ☝️. Also allows split bills.More

Everything about this place is commendable and the food is also delicious. We have had breakfast there and every dish was tasty. Coffee can be bitter and may not be to your taste but there are plenty of alternatives. The cafe is run to be...fully sustainable and i think they make avery good job of it.More
