Weekend Special ($32.99):: 1 Lobster Tail 1/2 lb. Shrimp (no heads) 1/2 lb. Snow Crab Steamed in the bag in Mild Garlic Butter Seasoning (my choice) Gumbo “Roux” was thin & watery ~ but it contained a good amount of Seafood for $6, & was well seasoned, so I would order it again. Clam Chowder was good too. Sides were reasonably priced, from $2-$5. My phone order for the Weekend Special & 2 Soups totaled $49, & took 10 minutes. I asked for Curbside Delivery, but it was not offered. Mid-Afternoon Carryout appeared to be steady, with a few tables of Family Diners.

Crab Legs Craving

My 2 Daughter's and I went to eat Seafood. We decided on Red Hook. It was a very good decision. We got the Thursday Special 1 lb Crab Legs and 1/2 lb Shrimp. I got all the spices/mild. It was wonderful. We were very satisfied and our waiter was also really attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back!!💜😊

The atmosphere is nice. Sort of cozy. There’s a newness to the interior structures. Clean. Nice waitress. I was fooled by the name of this restaurant. I went expecting crab cakes, poboys, remolaude, crawfish? No. Not even a seasoning on this food. They have only fried or steamed food on the menu. For non fried sides, only boiled eggs or corn. How can you not have coleslaw at a seafood restaurant?! A salad, or something. The calamari was served with chili sauce. Strange but ok. Absolutely no flavor on the catfish. But, the fried crust was very pretty. And I know the hush puppies came from a bag. $4 for 10 hush puppies. I can buy a whole bag of that kind frozen for about $2. Tartar sauce tastes like miracle whip. They didn’t have any mustard. Just a weird place. Lacks personality. Need to jazz up the menu.

Look around at all the tables. Plastic bags on top of plastic bags. Bags bags bags in every direction on a busy night. Then you are expected to eat out of a plastic bag with plastic forks and knives. In all my years of going out to eat this is a first. Some niche BS. I can't imaging how much garbage is in the dumpster out back at the end of the weekend. This business model really needs a review and redesign. Not to mention for the prices you're stuck with plastic forks, a "do it yourself bag of food" and no real silverware to eat this crap with. Welcome to Plastic Fest! Bring your own real fork! This joint is horrible. If you're looking for seafood I suggest somewhere else. But I do suggest going there just to witness the mega plastic disaster it is and that you may expect at a Captain D's. In the meantime, someone call the EPA! Chill out with all the plastic madness RED HOOK.

Me and my family ate at the Red Hook in Memphis TN on Winchester Road and the food was awful. I ordered the lobster and king crab leg special and they left my lobster off an when I told the waitress she took a picture of my food and said they wouldn't believe her and when I received it, it was raw. I asked for crackers for the crab legs an they didn't have any, so I couldn't eat them. Not exactly what I wanted to spend $50.00 on and leave the restaurant still hungry. Service was bad one of the servicers cursed the customers she was waiting on cause they wanted their bill separated. Want eat there again.

Worst experience in both service and food

At 12 o’clock there was only one table occupied, that should have told me some thing… Ordered oysters on the half shell that we had to spit out because they were bad. The onion rings had a awful breading. Service from the front guy to the waitress was not professional, always on phone , watching tv or talking. They did not even apologize or ask if we wanted to order something else to take the place of the bad oysters. We ended up sharing my plate just to have some food. The waitress spoke so low with no emotion. Beautiful looking restaurant but will never return.

Lied that fish was catfish

If you want Catfish , get ready they will serve you white fish -swai. I spoke with my waiter then manager I told them that I didn’t want my money back or anything I just want them to know that this was not catfish and she lied as well, I don’t recommend this restaurant … no integrity just make your wrongs right and apologize don’t lie to me to my face! 0 stars if I could . The batter is good but the fish is not CATFISH!

Everything was bad! made me and party sick afterwards, would not recommend this location. At first everything looked like it would be good, but things were salty, and even undone in some areas.

Birthday Dinner Ruined

Thank you Red Hook for ruining my birthday dinner!!! My family and I went to Redhook to celebrate my birthday. We ordered our food. Hubs and kid ordered chicken and I ordered crab legs, shrimp, and sausage. My families food comes out and I’m waiting for my food. Mind you people are getting there food all around me. The waitress comes over a lets me know that another server picked up my food and served it to another guest. Okay cool, she says they are going to remake and bring out. 20 minutes goes by still no food but everybody around us is getting there food. At this point the manager comes and apologizes, still no food. Table who came in behind us get a huge order of sea food. Me still no food. At this point I’m over it. Another manager comes over and say “we can have your food cooked in 5 minutes”, wait happened to my food being cooked 20 minutes ago. I was literally at my last straw and asked for the check. Not the waitress fault but staff working there need to look before they pick up the wrong order. We left with me eating nothing. Bad Redhook. So disappointed and on my Birthday!!!!

Great food.

The food is wonderful. We had oysters, crab legs, shrimp and lobster. Everything was delicious. The service was just ok. Annoying that utensils are plastic. Especially when eating crab legs. Had to ask for a cracker. No idea why that wouldn’t be brought out with meal. Had to ask for butter. Had to ask for salt and pepper. Napkins are paper. And thin. You will use 50!! Would be nice for cotton napkins. Bar service is slow.

Best Seafood that I Have Ever Eaten!

My husband and I had heard about this restaurant from a coworker of my husband’s. When we ordered, we were not expecting the kind of fabulous seafood that we were about to receive. We did the ‘Saturday Special’ which consisted of a split lobster tail, 1/2 pound of snow crab legs, and a 1/2 pound of shrimp. You pick your seasoning, and also pick the spice level. All of this wonderful broiled seafood arrived in a large poly bag containing perfect sauce. You simply roll the bag down and start enjoying the most perfectly cooked scrumptious seafood ever! To have no expectations, we were blown away by the seafood quality and the taste!

Great dinner with a group of friends

Our party of eleven decided to meet at Red Hook for dinner recently. I called and they did allow us to make a reservation. Not sure if they allow that for smaller parties, but I'd highly recommend it if possible as the the lines can be quite long, especially on the weekends. With the reservation, we were seated immediately. Our dinner was excellent. Most everyone in our party got some sort of steamed seafood, which comes in a plastic cooking bag all ballooned up from the heat of the cooking. They also offer some fried options and some tried the fried calamari, saying it was very good. The steamed seafood can be quite mess, depending on the spices you choose, and they offer bibs, gloves, wet wipes, etc. to cope with the mess. My only problem was our server, who was MIA too often. We had to ask other servers to send her our way for drink refills and other requests. Note that parties six and over, even with separate checks, will be charged a gratuity on your bill. IMO, the service needs to be stepped up if they're going to do that. Our bill including two entrees, one appetizer one small beer, two large beers and the automatic gratuity was about $60.
