Fresh highly imaginative menu. Was able to satisfy both my husband and me. Wild mushroom pizza was outstanding as was my husband's black & blue salad. His meat was cooked exactly as he likes it.

I just bought a property in Landrum after moving from Hatteras Island. We do not eat out, because we can cook at home for the same quality of food as eating out. We don't have a kitchen in our renovated home yet, so we order...out when our Son and Wife come to visit us from G'ville, SC. Both my husband and son said, almost simultaneously, "This is the best pizza I have ever eaten! (Wild Mushroom and Sausage and Prosciutto). I had the house salad with Balsamic Dressing and being a salad connoisseur, I am picky. The salad was over the top delicious and a huge quantity. I ate every morsel for two separate meals. Jack, the host, helped me with my order when I called in and could not have been more professional, friendly and helpful. After receiving my order, I walked away thinking, "thank God, there are still kind, caring folks in this world." After eating our meals, I thought, "AND the food is delicious to boot!" I'm in my 70th +year and I say, "we'll live through the masks, but we need to embrace and appreciate kind people and standards of excellence." P. Fort New Hobby Farm Owner in LandrumMore

Was using the dog park on Saturday, so thought we would have lunch. The place has a mask policy in place. Since SC does not have a mask nandate and we are vaccinated thought we would go ahead inside. Was told that no mask no...service….so we chose no service….as well as the folks behind us did the same. Not a big loss the food is ok….. would not recommend the pizza….its bland…not good dough. The salads are the best the have to offer. Still do not understand why they have a mask policy…..unless as the CDC states its an area of high infection or significant spread. Restaurant were in the low single digits…… too many other choices out there to put up with crazy policies…might try them again once they correct a few thingsMore

As previously stated we are following CDC guidelines to help keep the public safe during a pandemic . In areas of high infection and low vaccination rates they said when inside even vaccinated people should wear a mask. I wear one in the kitchen and...More

Visited here on Saturday, July 31st. This place is once again requiring you to wear a mask upon entering but you can take it off when you sit at your table, which is 5 feet from the door. This makes perfect sense because we all...know you can’t get covid when you sit at a table unmasked but you can give and get covid when you’re standing and walking. None the less, we ordered pizza to go because we didn’t have masks and ate outside under the covered picnic area. The pizza was less than flavorful and the dough was like they just mixed up that morning and lacked the true pizza dough pull and bubbles. It’s a shame because they have an amazing pizza oven. Doubt we will be back to spend $50 on lunch and walk away so disappointed.More

So sorry about your experience . You seem to be more upset about our covid policy than anything else. We follow CDC guidelines and take seriously our responsibility to keep the public as safe as possible during a pandemic. We have masks to give to...More

We ordered the Turkey bacon sandwich, house salad, prosciutto and sausage pizza and arugula goat cheese pizza for our family of five. Every bite was incredible. My husband kept saying, this is the best sandwich I have ever had. We will be back!

Needed to choose between a burger and a rueben. Well, I can make a decent burger at home on the grill, Opted for the Rueben. I can make a decent rueben at home but I usually don't have all the ingredients at once. Anyhoo-- the...rueben was as close to perfection as can be. Perfectly toasted (nice and crunchy). The cheese was totally melted. Just the right amount of sauce--too much and ths te sandwich is soggy; too little and there's no flavor. The sauerkraut was chewy and tao ngy. Finally, the mea--t: fresh and tasty--but, more important: no gristle! If there is gristle you can bite into the sandwich and the meat will come out of the bread and is a mess to reconstruct--or give up and finish with knife and fork. It' s a long post about a single sandwich; but hey, it was GOOD.THe chef on duty on Sat 15 May at 12:00 gets the credit.More

Stone Soup demonstrates respect for its customers and values the safety of its diners with social distancing, masked staff, and plenty of outdoor seating. Been there three times during COVID, always felt safe and the food was very good. Thank you!

On a weekend, my husband and I tried this restaurant for a second time since our usual favorite was closed. Our first visit was a few years ago and resulted in violent illness from bad mussels. It had been a while so we decided to...give it another try. The first thing we noticed was that despise this being dinnertime on the weekend, there were very few customers inside. One of our other favorites had a big line waiting outside. We were hungry and didn't feel like standing in line so we were seated here and hoped for the best. It wasn't the best...at all. The food was just average, lacking real flavor. I ordered the lasagna, $19.00 and served alone- no bread, no small sale, just a plate of bland lasagna. My husband had a burger, which was nothing to write home about. One of my biggest complaints with restaurants here in the south is receiving sweet tea that is anything but. When I order sweet tea, I shouldn't have to add sugar at the table. The sweet tea at Stone Soup tasted like swamp water, the equivalent of unsweetened tea with a pack a Splenda added to it. We will happily pay higher prices for outstanding food and service, we didn't get that here.More

We have eaten at Stone Soup several times and never been disappointed. Yesterday we did a carry out order and everything was great. We had their black bean soup and it was the best black bean soup I have ever tasted. We also like to...purchase their frozen prepared dishes. They are very good as well.More
