Great experience, family favourite

We’ve been ordering takeaway from here for years. Yesterday (24/07/22 we made a booking for my sons first birthday. Odd choice for a kids birthday you might think? Well I will tell you why we chose this particular restaurant. We could easily get a booking for a group. It was a family lunch, we booked for 11 people, and requested one high chair. So it wasn’t a kids party. It was adults and two kids. A playground wasn’t a need for this occasion. Over the phone the staff are always so friendly and helpful. All of our family enjoy Chinese food. Lots of parking available. The staff are attentive and so lovely. Toilets are clean. Food comes out quickly, hot and delicious. The tables are huge and we can chat to each other and help ourselves to the dishes on the lazy Susan in the middle. We all have preferences so we didn’t order a banquet, rather many dishes we like and shared. This was no problem for the chef. Every single person was more than satisfied. When it was time for the cake ( that they stored in the fridge for me, no problem) they brought it out and offered to play “Happy Birthday” music as well. It was a nice touch. We were not rushed out at all, we chatted for a time. Then we were asked if we’d like some containers or cling wrap for our cake. It was taken out the back and wrapped up for us ready to go. A bonus was on Sundays they only have a surcharge of $1 pp. We absolutely enjoyed our time here (second time eating in) and we will absolutely book again. We are fussy with where we spend money to eat and I highly recommend this place. It is not the cheapest around but it is 100% worth the money. The food and staff are 10/10.

Good food with friendly staff

We shared several dishes here: king prawns, a seafood special they had on, chow me in ad one other dish. Everything was good can't wait to go back and try some other dishes. Cute little restaurant.

Delicious Chinese Food

Friendly staff, super clean bathrooms; ) and the food... delicious! We had the garlic squid, which was so yummy! Dim Sims were cooked to perfection, spring rolls very crispy. For main, we shared the crispy duck and vegies with steamed rice, perfect cooked! Higly recommend this place.

Trip Down Memory Lane

We used to eat at this restaurant years ago when we were on holiday in the area and always loved the food here. We have now moved to the area and thought after some 40 years we would revisit this little gem to see how it now shapes up. We were so pleasantly surprised, nothing seems to have changed, except the food is even better than we remembered, the service was perfect and even the decor appeared the same. The duck pancakes were amazing, lightly battered , crispy pieces of duck breast that melted in the mouth. Beef in black bean sauce and sizzling squid with ginger and shallot were full of flavour and made from quality ingredients and the fried rice, perfect with not a pea in sight, (I hate peas). Definitely, our new favourite local.

This restaurant Is golden! From the minute we walked in, the staff were polite and comforting. They helped us get our meals with a polite attitude, kind manners and respectful flair. They were friendly and were willing to listen when we told them why we were in the area. We are so thankful for the delicious food and drink and it was certainly a meal to remember! We do appreciate the extra goodies at the end! If you are in Toukley stop by for Dinner!

Been a customer for years and am always happy very happy with all the menu but unfortunately tonight my curry prawn and rice was very dry and was lacking in curry sauce .

Somewhat disappointed

On the basis of Tripadvisor I had a take away from this restaurant since my favourite in Newcastle, Chinois had closed due to retirement. I ordered exactly the same dishes. It cost 25% more, the king prawn dish were not king prawns and the thickness of the sauce was claggy.

I have been visiting this restaurant for a number of years and went their again last week with my wife,nothing has changed except for covid-19 restrictions but apart from that the food,service and friendly atmosphere are still great,without a doubt the best Chinese on the Central Coast.

Five of my family selected a banquet between us and enjoyed every dish. The entrees were served quickly by pleasant staff and then the five main dishes were severed in two stages, all dishes were generous and hot when served. A good variety of typical Chinese food, enjoyed by all.

Family Dinner

Had a family dinner there last night for my wifes birthday. The have a really good selection of meals including some kids meals. Prices are good value, the service very good. Some of our group had the banquet and other selected their favourite meals. The Salt and Pepper said with chilli and garlic is my favourite meal, quite a large serving in fact big enough for 2 people and only $22.00. We will return very soon.
